So I need some advice and thought maybe it would be good posting in here to get a somewhat legitimate response aside from researching online.

I'm not looking to lose any weight, but I'm really trying to sculpt my body. I'm a kinda petite girl, 5'2" and about 110 pounds. I go to the gym three times a day, two of them I focus on lower body/legs and one day I'm there on a bit to work on arms/strength. I avoid cardio as much as I can cause all that does is make me shed weight, which I don't want to do at all, so I warm up on the stationary bike for 15ish minutes. My diet is usually chicken/fish, a lot of lentils and green veggies, and I avoid grains/carbs as much as I can.

I'm aware that I'm probably not doing enough to get the results I want, but I would like to know what exactly I should do to work towards that so that I end up not doing something completely different different that'll waste my time. I'm very insecure with my body and would like to feel a body positive and confident by the end of this year.

Pretty much what I'm most unhappy about is this tummy fat I've had since like... I was a kid pretty much. I layer my clothing a lot so it's never noticeable to the eye, but it's there in plain sight if I'm naked or wearing any tight clothing. I always get teased about having an "alien belly" or a beer gut when people do notice. It just makes me look out of shape because I'm a pretty small person and I have this belly sticking out. I'm very sick of it and I know it's one of the hardest things to get rid of, but I want to at least see if it's possible to obtain that "washboard stomach."

If I really have to lose more weight throughout my whole body to get rid of it then I can just deal with it honestly because I'm not interested in looking thin. It'll be disappointing but at least I know not to be hopeful and waste any time. I'm pretty happy with my legs and my butt, my arms are a bit thin but I can work on that, it's really just my stomach area that's been a bummer.

I don't mean to sound rude, but the info you're looking for is in the OP.

Also yeah, you'll most likely only ditch the belly fat by dropping overall body fat percentage.

You really can't target fat loss. If you have pudge somewhere, you need to lose weight. Especially when it comes to the stomach area--building up muscle there will just push the fat out further.

Yeah but being only 110 pounds her bodyfat can't be that high. Probably the best the find out that calculation.

Lol I forgot about that. My mom asked me to stop getting bigger. The funny thing is I'm losing bodyfat so I'm losing weight and getting smaller. Also someone at the gym said I look too big...

People are calling me skinny(at work) and I should eat more. They don't believe I am 195 pounds its annoying.

Well, this.

You can't really lose fat only from one place so it would require to get the body fat percentage lower. Then again Kisaya, if you are getting more muscles you wouldn't be "stick" even if you would lose fat. The muscles would give you curves. Then again the belly might be just you being bloated by a bad diet and you can get rid of it easily by just chancing your diet a bit.

Looking great Sadetar! It's nice to see people here like you and ILoveBish taking a successful long-term approach.

I'm having my birthday party tomorrow, and then I'll join the unofficial FitGAF March cutters. I had another DEXA scan last week. The scan results showed that over the course of 6 months, I've gained 13 pounds of lean mass and 7 pound of fat. I'm starting to feel a bit bloated, so time to cut back a bit.

5.2

BMI of 20.

Safe to guess 20% body fat or thereabouts.

Abs will start showing at 15%.

Either way, can't target fat loss outside of liposuction, so gotta bring total bf down anyway. If she's under 20%, even closer. Will still have to retool diet.

This is true, my sister stop eating diary products and she lost her gut. She didn't lose much weight doing that though, just her gut. Doctor said she was lactose intolerance which is why she did it.

There's a neogaf thread on reddit?

There is, mostly just banned people complaining about mods.
Gaf makes it to other parts though, saw a post on facepalm about neogaf this week on the frontpage.

"you're losing weight too fast, that isn't healthy"
"no one likes big muscles, you'll look like a freak"
"gods why do you wanna be a meathead?"
"you look fine, don't lose more weight"

it's, like, super easy.

One of my exes at least was honest and told me i should quit keto because she wanted to get back to cooking carb heavy dishes already.

Also never ever look into Reddit's Bizarro NeoGaf. Nothing good will come of it.

Thank you so much for your kind words! ^_^ Eleven days and I have been hitting the gym a full year and I know this is only the beginning.

Oh and Happy Birthday!

I will go back to cutting as well after this stupid maintaining.

And 13 pounds of lean mass is awesome for half a year! Congratulations! I am expecting some great before and after shots! :D

People are calling me skinny(at work) and I should eat more. They don't believe I am 195 pounds its annoying.
Oooh. Any current pics? ;)

Yep. I know this also by my own experience. When I was in very low carb diet and eating clean for +100 days my waist was actually way smaller than it is now even if my weight is the same or even a bit lower. I loved that feeling so I am going back to it at least for summer. :)

Wow. I don't ever go on reddit, but I'm guessing it must not be moderated.
Subreddits have there own mods chosen by the subreddit creator. The admins will not touch them unless they start doing illegal stuff(pedo and cease and desists nudes mostly). Its the reason why all the hate subreddits exists.

No pictures I am a pretty private person, but yeah changing your diet is the best thing she can do at this point.

Thanks. :) My fat percentage went up about 3%, so I'll save the pics for another month or two. Hopefully the results will be worthwhile!

Ah, that is totally understandable (even if disappointing). :p

I also think that small changes to the diet would be wise move. Keep the daily intake around the same but see if lowering carbs for example could help.

I will be waiting for those! I am sure they will be glorious. :D

It is always awesome to see progress pics and I admit I love before and after shots. ^_^

It will emphasize glutes and hams more too. And the snatch grip will increase ROM and smash upper back/lats so long as you continuously draw the bar into your legs. I wanna see a video to be sure you're hip hinging correctly.

I'd love to be near a gym like steve's but at this point I think the onus would be on me to make one.

Thanks I really appreciate that. I'd imagine he Romanian versions a bit harder too so I'll definitely post something up.

Your current gym isn't radically different from Steves right? A lot of serious lifters and speciality things like chains.

Sadetar awesome progress. Keep it up

Yeah, sorry for totally ditching the OP. I've done a lot of reading myself and it's always different things that I'm reading so I just rather get a direct response from people.

Oof, yeah that's something I'm totally aware of too and it's a big downer. It just sucks that whenever I lose weight it never htis that area, my breasts and butt just shrink and I even look more weird.

I took this a couple of weeks ago when I started going back to the gym. I should probably take progress pictures maybe.

So I really don't have much at all to complain about. I just feel unattractive without clothes on.

Yeah the first thing I did was change my diet, and it's actually improved a bit. I don't think I'm allergic to wheat gluten and all but after cutting bread and rice almost completely I don't get as bloated any more. Maybe I should be a bit stricter...

It's small and shit equipment, but serious lifters, mostly BBers.

I have meant to talk about this.

I have noticed I am not at all hungry at morning so I haven't been eating anything before my body actually is hungry. I have figured out I am starting to be hungry around 4-7 pm. I basicly eat just once or twice a day at the evening (my whole daily calories with one or two sits) and I have felt great this far. I don't really know about IF, but is this something along those lines and is it alright to do this?

Sounds like intermittent fasting to me. Good news is it's working based on your picture! Looking great!

Nothing to report in with and thanks for all the kind words. I've been staying up later this weekend, i finally sold my ps4 on craigslist and didn't get stabbed which was terrific, and i'm TRYING to eat more calories but even getting to the 3k range is some serious work. When you eat processed crap the calories pile on super quick, but eating good whole foods, its tough. I made some peanut butter cookies using peanut butter, coconut flour, eggs, and some other bits and they came out amazing. Like low carb peanut butter squares. Also made the most AMAZING salad i think i've ever ate in my life, also low carb. Its a greek salad with feta and chicken + a lot more. I'm going to do a writeup on that salad in the nutrition thread once i start bulking, since that is going to be my 2nd meal that i'm going to add. It is so good.

Monday will be back on the strict train, but wanted to really give my body some time to relax, i was really strict the last 2 months and the results speak for themselves, but i don't want to burn my body out. Mentally i'm fine with how things were going, but physically i felt like the body just needed a breather from all the cutting. I might even wait till mid week to get strict again, i dont know.

Ugh. Had a not so great day again.

Last time I was able to do 3, 4, 4 on my OHP so I figured today I'd be able to do 5,5,5. Sadly that didn't work out and did essentially the same amount as last time. But probably worse than that was that when I tried to squat, which I WAS doing really good on, my lower back started hurting pretty bad. I think I arched my back too much or something on my OHP. Because of that, I wasn't even able to complete a set.

I'm not in a huge amount of pain right now or anything, but I do feel something in my lower back. Hopefully it goes away soon. I was making pretty good progress dang it! :(

1kg of that will get you there. Method.

I can attest that the salt trick is da bess. Spice the meat however you like.
100g have 386kcal, 14g protein and 34g fat.

Could also go the pork rind route, 100g for 643 kcal, 36g fat and 71g prot.

Aww, you're all so kind. The high-level numbers from the scan are

7/01/2014, 16.3 BF%, 20.3 total pounds fat, 98.6 total pounds lean mass
2/24/2015, 19.6 BF%, 28.6 total pounds fat, 111.6 total pounds lean mass

And here's a picture of me according to DEXA. :p

I calculated my total daily caloric expenditure and got around 3300 and I am curious as to what is a healthy percentage deficit to lose weight with...I decided to cut by 20% and that's working out so far, but i'm unsure as to whether I can drop more. If anyone has done this before, how much did you cut by and how did it work out for you?

Cut more when you stop losing weight at your desired rate for several weeks. It sounds like you have no need to tweak right now.

Pork rinds might as well have 0 protein. It's collagen and not bioavailable (as protein) to human metabolism.

OHP. Making a nasty crunch in lateral raises, but wouldn't call it painful.

(This obviously using very little weight)

It's probably your rotator cuff. Switch to only cable work for a few weeks if the doctor says you didn't tear something. And RICE right away dude. Those things can linger and will get worse if you push it.

Thanks for the support guys. I'm probably mostly just overreacting, I usually do, but that's me.

As soon as the snow clears up I'll be back in the gym, keeping myself going. :)

Odd thing to be poisoned by. Normally they're cooked for so long that nothing could survive.

It was either that or the macaroni I ate. It was locally sourced from an organic farm so I'm curious if something snuck in that otherwise would've been taken care of by post-processing.

Today was maybe my 15th time going bouldering in my life and I managed to complete not one but two V3 routes (or "problems"). Fuck yeah!

This gym was really cool: they had a massive rock climbing wall, as well as a free weights section. Finished my 3-hour workout with heavy squats and bench press after roughly two hours of climbing and torching my hands/forearms.
