Dying Light IOTI A dead island on the mirror's edge.

So what's the difference between normal and hard? If it's just enemies with more HP i won't touch it.

Night is twice as long, zombies are harder to kill, on top of needing more precise strikes and
volatiles don't show up on the mini map.
Spoiler tagged the last one but it's an early game night thing.

I'm waiting for the new patch to drop before going back to it, hoping it will help at least soften some of the bugs. I might even start a new game from scratch.

I'm enjoying the game but the amount of bugs is starting to be annoying.

I have a question about the "Restart From Quest" option. I want to replay the "Broadcast" mission since I missed the air strike blueprint on my initial playthrough - will I permanently lose all my campaign progress up to that point?

Also check guys if the main story quests on hard have you start over the mission with all ennemies back or if you have to start all over...this saved my ass a few times, especially in the Arena and on some of the gun fights...kill 9 out of 10 guys, you die and restart and the 9 you killed are gone, you just need to kill the last one on Normal.

Damn good question, never tried it but I would guess it does if its the main story quest...not sure, try and start doing it and you probably will have a huge warning telling you what will happen with the ''are you sure'' tag ;)

Thanks for the impressions.
Well, i played hard mode for a bit and i felt helpless. But it's probably because i was missing all the skills i have in my other save. But anyway, i just did the first mission. I'm not sure if i'll be prepared for a whole night outside of a safe zone. lol

By the way i hope techland adds options to disable certain parts of the hud. I need more immersion.

Finished the game, played around 30 hours and did most of the side-quests in the Slums. Gameplay mechanics are really solid, especially the freerunning. Old Town had a really nice aesthetic look but by the time I got there the game had become a bit tedious. Didn't do much additional content there and basically just finished the main story.

I was really hoping for HUD options as well. FC4 is so good in this respect, with the ability to toggle off all parts individually.

I'm sick of this.

Loving the game so far, but I cannot play at night time. Never have I only played half of a game so religiously.

It really reminds me of the STALKER games, which is a great thing - and since I've completed them, I know I can deal with Dying Light's nights - but at the moment, I'm too afraid. I step out, I dart between some roofs, then freak out.

Do the Night Crawlers react to my flashlight? Do they automatically 'smell' me out and I have to keep moving, or can I hold up on a roof for a safe time?

Such mistake, old town has much better side quests than slums.

As long as you stay out of their vision cones displayed on the radar, youre typically ok. They can't smell you since ive had them just walk right past me before. Just keep to the rooftops as much as possible. They can't hear very well either so as long as youre not sprinting right by them, they won't notice you.

On hard mode, the radar no longer displays them.

I am near the end of the game but now I am only ableto craft 2 Molotov's when it used to be 5. Is this a bug anyone else encountered?

Well now I have almost no materials to make Molotov's haha. Not a Nerf I support.

Also feel like I am losing health a little easier and find fewer medkits but that just might be the endgame.

If you're at the end of the game and have almost no materials, then you must not have done much looting. Alcohol and string are incredibly abundant.

As for medkits, lockpick the yellow medical vans. They always carry at least one, if not two, medkits. There are also 2-3 alternative methods to craft medkits, but they require blueprints.

Has Techland ever mentioned if they're planning on fixing those glitched trophies/achievements?

According to a thread on their forums they are apparently fixing them and if you have already completed them but they are not unlocked they will be after the patch.

I currently have two trophies left to get that are bugged out, the complete all side quests and the collect all text items. Both I've completed and not unlocked.

Hoping that the patch next week? will fix them as I've enjoyed the game greatly, but feel its time to move on.

I was low on molotovs near the end, but I tossed them with wild abandon at every opportunity. I never had less than 20 medkits in reserve for the latter half of the game.

Talking about medkits, have you guys done that bridge climbing sidequest? You can find something like 30 medkits there.

I haven't even used my herb blueprints yet since I still have stock from back then.

Total BS with the 1.50 patch, was expecting it on Saturday too, but it downloaded already on thursday, no idea why - maybe because of having the polish (PS4) version. Hope it gets available fo the rest soon.
Got the whole story trophy finally on saturday, in the Techland forums someone pointed out that you have to delete all ingame save slots(after backing them up) and start a new game by selecting a later Mission in the game, like when you need to repair the gas pipes. Then my game statistics said I'm missing one sidequest (Gas Mask Man, definitely finished it before) So the quest got done a second time and the trophy popped up. Only missing now are safehouse and quarantine zones...

I just recently started this and I am actually very wary of going out during the night, hahaha.

Like, I feel this sense of dread that makes me extremely uncomfortable, enough for me to actually said "fuck this shit" and exit the game, hahaha.

Oh my.....................

Any tips? Especially how to balance out weapon breaking system with the need to level up your fighting prowess... maybe I should probably consult a guide on where to find blue prints? It kind of goes against my ethos of guide-free playthrough 1st time though, hahaha.

Does Dying Light Manager work on the newest patch (hard mode) ? I'm downloading the game right now so can't check.
If it doesn't, any way to downgrade ? Really hate CA.

edit : seems to be working, s'all good

I don't know why, I'm having lots of trouble with the challenges. I'm trying to complete the fifteen for the trophies Apparently I'm bad under pressure, because I can't stick 15 zombies on spikes quick enough.

Playing co-op makes night a bit less stressful! As far as upgrading I think the game does a great job of rewarding you with experience points by just playing the game. So do all the side missions you can, etc as early as you can and you'll end up becoming overpowered fairly quickly compared to most of the enemies. Also try to do as much as you can at night since you get double the points.

I don't find much string, lots of alcohol though.

Just been buying medkits when I can but I swear the last patch made the zombies like 10% harder.

For people on the UK store the Ultimate Survivor bundle is on the store. Its just not with the other Dying Light DLC content. I had go to the DLC section that showed DLC for all games and locate it in there.

I now have my ninja outfit.

Patch is out finally!

Believe me this makes a huge difference now.
