I've been longing for over 14 years for Matsuno to take his rightful place at the head of Ivalice gams again and make a damn sequel to Vagrant Story (or a proper sequel to FFT). That's never going to happen.
Besides, it's totally going to be Dragon Quest going exclusively on to the Xbox One with HaloLens support.
Probably because Level 5 developed Dragon Quest 8.

Whatever it is, this gen it seems at the very least SE is trying to get some Japanese developed console games out there. Their output in that regard was pathetic last gen. Did they even go over 10?

After the crap they kept pulling with please be excite, and the ff7 hd mess I don't even think I care if it's actually something I would have been interested in. They cried wolf too many times, sucks for them, though I'm sure people will still look forward to it, and for that I hope it's good for their sake.

Hype needs to be matched with eventual delivery. I bought my first Sony Console (PS2) for a Squaresoft game. Using my first ever pay-cheque. And I was so disappointed in FF12 that it killed console gaming for me ever since. The stronger the love, the stronger the hate when things go bad.

There is nothing surprising about another HD remaster.
A surprise would be a brand new JRPG title that wasn't related to Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts. DQXI being announced at E3 as a PS4 game would be a surprise. A new Chrono game or something would be the biggest surprise.

Oh, I don't know. This is the company that said Tomb Raider's millions of sales across three platforms was a disappointment and then allowed for the sequel to be (so far as we really know) "exclusive" to Xbox. This is also the same company that developed/published two exclusive RPGs for the Xbox 360 (The Last Remnant and Infinite Undiscovery). Yes, I realize that was more than half a decade ago and things have dramatically changed, but I still wouldn't put a DQ on a Microsoft console out of the realm of possibility. It's not like it stopped them from doing it with Final Fantasy.
Money talks, and Microsoft has money. If Microsoft really wanted Dragon Quest on Xbox, I'm sure they'd pony up the dough for it.
