Didn't this make over $1 billion? Michael Bay drinks your tears to wash down his $10000 steak every day.

"Bay has said that this film will kick off a second trilogy of Transformers movies - and I think he's serious. That means there will be (at least) two more of these things. God help us all."
No worse than Marvel.

Hell throw M.A.S.K. in there.
Transformers can't be a cinematic universe, because it's all one franchise. If they wanted to combine it with Battlefield they could make a "Hasbro Cinematic Universe" if they wanted to. Basically it's a franchise within a franchise, like Captain America is a franchise within the Marvel franchise
They're using the term here because people like it, not because it fits

Its unknown whether Bay will return to directing duties for any new installments. He is currently in pre-production on his Benghazi thriller 13 Hours."
Thanks, Marvel.
No worse than Marvel.
Transformers thread: "More transformers movies? Hollywood needs to be more original!"
Marvel thread: "FUCK YES ANOTHER MARVEL MOVIE!! BUT OMG THEY CHANGED THAT CHARACTER TOO MUCH AND THIS ISN'T FOLLOWING THE COMIC CLOSE ENOUGH! "
The term "cinematic universe" is getting used way too much these days. What differentiates this from simply being part of a franchise?
How about do an 80s cinematic universe?
Reboot GI Joe, do He-man, etc, and have them in a shared universe.
No worse than Marvel.
Cinematic universes need to die. Like, now.
Surely the quality of the films isn't playing into this at all. No surely not.

Mahvel has started an awful thing.
