Honestly, the best way to play AW... Is not use your exo suit (which gave away your location, lame) if you played it like a regular COD game while everyone else ran around like jumping beans you did alright

Disagreed. That's why you put on blast suppressor. Now if you're talking about S&D then your exo could give off your location by the way of the sound it produces. If you played this game like a regular CoD most people would have a hard time as the spawns flip so much. I use the exo movements to it's fullest and am 2.55kdr thanks to people who play this like a regular CoD game. Now it could be that you're a great solo (2kdr+) defensive player, which is an even rarer breed in this game, but I know it's possible.

Oh man, no. Just no. AW is trash. Has no staying power or diversity MW2 or BOPS1 had. Most everyone got bored after a month, not even.

I hate these kinds of comments. Is there any way you could frame your opinion as such, and not otherwise?

Proof? It shares multyplayer code with the older games so it may be heavily modified but it is not a new engine.

Yup they even recycled some animations from Ghosts...

Would love to see a completly new animation system for the game. This goofy looking running animation looks so outdated now.
Recycling animations and netcode (which are basically universally interchangable) is small incomparison to the incredibly large overhaul to the engine's multithreading and graphics pipeline. Seriously... it is rather different.

The only actual stat we have is on PC. Where AW is behind Black Ops 2 and Modern Warfare 3. It is slightly ahead of Modern Warfare 2 at least.

Which is not indicative of the actual player base. Not even slightly. And COD has been struggling on PC for years. Which is a direct result of the lack of support and proper servers, not because "jetpacks".

It's the stat we have. AW can't use the same excuse as Ghosts (that it was poorly optimized).

Sorry, but whatever COD community is on PC just prefers BO2 and MW3. Would not surprise me if there are more people playing BO2 and MW3 on consoles as well (though obviously we have no proof because AW hides its player count).

You aren't making any sense, or adding to whatever cause you think you are supporting. Making blanket statements for a game which spans 5 platforms (which if you even just turned on the game now, would prove false), and then your only claim to back it up is using the platform that has struggled to keep players since before the game even released, and ever since is plain and simply idiotic. You can not like the game all you want, but keep the conversation in the realm of reality and not whatever fantasy you keep dwelling in.

And the constant "Sorry, but..." statements is annoying. I don't need an apology. Just stop lying.

I'm using the information at hand.

All other information was blocked out by Sledgehammer for some reason. Of course I have my own theories of why that is (which I'm sure you can guess).

In my own small group there are 5 COD players. One plays AW because of clan wars. Three gave up on AW after the first month. The last refused to buy it.

Like I said, I'm just working with what information I have on hand.

So your inability to access console data, and your 5 friends is all the information you need on the no doubt thousands of players currently playing COD and to state the game was "dead after a month"? What about my active PC clan or 10? I have more data than you already. Just pointing out the obvious with your agenda, and it's massively biased and incorrect data.

Don't be mad at him for stating facts. You like the game. Great. Most people don't. I had 15+ people on my friends list playing AW when it came out. Majority quit after a month. The other few quit after a few months. The game is in the lower echelon of cod games.

I'm not wasting a perk on blast suppressor

Just stop. He and you have stated zero facts.

Let's all be honest guys. We all hated Ghosts. AW was a great fresh take on the series that exo movement reminded me of the Unreal Tournament days. Black Ops 2 was my favorite entry besides the obvious CoD4. I do see why AW gets a lot of hate. It changed the movement and momentum, the spawns are horrible, could use a little better map design but I still go and play it because it's just too damn fun. IMO the one's who dislike it are the one's who cant learn or just dont like the game mechanics. With that being said, I can't wait for BO3, I still play zombies since AW zombies is just plain.

AW has terrible maps, terrible spawns, a way too fast TTK, broken streaks (Dom turns into rolling system hacks and bombing runs because of the point system), terribly balanced weapons, rampant pupstomping (no Mercenary playlists), no playlist playercounts, and a bad net code and matching system.

I agree with everything you stated.

So if Black Ops III does have exo suits why is everyone expecting the exact same ones from Advanced Warfare? We haven't seen it in motion at all so why jump to conclusions and immediately throw it out the window? Looking at the picture it doesn't even look like he has a jetpack, just an exoskeleton suit.

This is GAF.

The only thing about the exo suits I liked in AW was that it made infinite sprint the default. I've always hated how sprint was limited in COD or the infinite sprint was locked behind a perk. Being a Battlefield player first and COD player second not having infinite sprint and reloading while sprinting kills me. I always use Fast Hands unless I'm using an energy weapon.

I love the sprint in AW. I like being able to dash and use the jetpack tactically around the map. The people who jump around are the first to die. Easy targets flailing around the in the air. I also like most of the weapons in the game. The MP11, BAL-27, KF5, S12, Pytaek. All so fun to use. Most of the maps aren't that special, but a handful are fun and really support verticality. I'm hoping this new COD takes ideas from the better maps in AW with it. I don't know if I could do another flat map system after AW's. I also like the gear and customization options.

My major issue is the developers choice to sell off every single part of the game. It's so greedy. They could have an incredible top-tier customization system, with rewarding incentives to keep on playing. But instead they literally develop new ways to nickle and dime their customers for every single piece of new gear they think up. It's disgusting.

I'd be a fool to deny the issues with AW and it's developers. But I'd be just as much of a fool if I didn't acknowledge the strong points, and hope they wouldn't find their ways into future titles in better form. I believe BOIII will indeed be the answer we need. Black Ops has been superb in quality, and I have supported each release vehemently since the beginning. Never played WaW, barely played Ghost.

TTK isn't that fast compared to prior CoD games after the latest patch, but I agree with pretty much everything else.

Kind of suprised at the AW hate. Thought it's one of the better CODs made and it was a step forward rather than the huge step back that ghosts was.

exo suits means this is a bargain bin at 20 bucks for me. I'd bet that battlefront will sell more that CoD this year.
I hope it does. It should too. Star Wars brand plus nostalgia for Battlefront, add in DICE fans and you've got yourself a hot seller.

Same goes for BO3 too kind of. Call of Duty brand plus nostalgia for Black Ops, add in Treyarch fans.

Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer have more than proven that they can't make a long lasting, fun, quality title which is why I exclusively play the Treyarch games now but I can't honestly say I'm too excited for this.

I'm finding myself more interested in Single Player and local multiplayer experiences on my consoles (other than first party exclusives of course) and leaving online multiplayer experiences to PC with my friends but unfortunately, the Call of Duty community on PC is always slim and dies off quickly.

I seriously question whether or not I'll even want to purchase this come November and if I do, will it even be worth it on PC? Doubtful.

This is incredible. I am not sure if I am playing the same game and feel you are making stuff up under the sun. For instance, the matching system is has its always been. AW has some of the best maps in the series especially if you play competitive with a team in hardcore search and destroy. They are extremely tactical and the developers have done an amazing job in making it more easy to plant intentionally compared to other shooters on the market. The game is not a perkfest with people using something every 5 seconds like previous COD's. They actually kept perks in mind where there is not a supremely powerful one to dictate the game. The weapons are balanced and the shotgun is awesome, the best in COD and the few laser weapons are extremely balanced. A lot of people use a diversity of weapons showing balance. I never noticed anything with the spawns.

If anything, it sounds like you play on the newb casual playlists.

Opinions how do they work?

For the record I've put a lot of time in all the COD's and I fucking hated AW. Sold that shit after 2 months.

Oh boy. lol. Sounds like you'd be better suited to play CounterStrike, Rainbow 6 Seige, or H-Hour.

Regular Domination (what I play) and Hardcore SnD (what you seem to play) are two entirely different games.

Everything I've said is 100% true for the vast majority of players.

AW is a perkfest though. My abuse of Exo Stim was nearing WaW juggernaut levels of abuse (this may have changed). I also began to notice that the top players were also using them aswell. The Exo suit really becomes a distinct advantage after blast suppression and other perks imo.

For example, on the hotel map if you catch someone who is on top of the rocks and if you don't have blast suppression: run around the back to meet them and hope no one looks behind them, Stand in place and wait for them to get in sight, Double jump to them which alerts everyone to where you are and hope they aren't attentive.

Mid-air dash is still the greatest.

Add me to someone who loved the older CODs and hated the shit out of AW. If this game has jet packs it will be the first COD I haven't bought.

It's funny though, people complained about CoD being stale and too slow, they changed it up and now it's trash lol. I like AW, has problems but it's a step in the right direction.
