In the comics the monitor from the composers Forge took Gamma (?) Halo "somewhere safe" through slipspace I believe. This was shortly after Halo 4 though, but we didn't hear of any repercussions of that yet.

It's been established that these types of fluctuations are caused by objects with astronomical mass moving through slipspace. It could be Gamma Halo, but considering this is a recurring event, it may be something else. That sounds like the monitor made one jump or a series of quick jumps to a safe location and stayed there.

Unless Gamma Halo is being used to destroy human colonies using a tactical pulse. Which means something happened. Didn't Spartan Strike have a mission on Gamma Halo? Or was that a simulation?

Though I guess the Absolute Record would show the location of Gamma Halo..

It's going to be interesting seeing who the bad guys will be. I imagine it'll start against Jul M'damas covenant but then swing in an unexpected direction.

The side of the street where Ben is walking on is two times wider than the opposite side of the street. The side that he is walking in is the side where the ONI buildings are. And for some reason, these is a thick layer of black that takes up half of the sidewalk surrounding the whole ONI campus (the side that Ben is on). I'm pretty sure the black part of the sidewalk has something to do with ONI defenses or something, and people walking in that side of the street are staying as close to the curb as possible away from the black part of the sidewalk.

Don't get me wrong, I'm #TeamChief all the way. I'm just not sure if 343 is going to do a 4v1 fight with Locke's crew that will be a badass sortie or a gutwrenching beatdown.

No doubt Blue Team would sort homies out though.

Obviously from what we've seen, 117 is lone-wolf'ing it, but I can't imagine Blue Team abandoning him voluntarily.. maybe they're searching another part of the galaxy or something, or stay behind to fight off whatever big baddie is coming at us this time.

I just demand they don't kill off Blue Team in a GameStop commercial or something!

343 needs to put a prologue at the beggining of the game to explain what the fuck is going on outside of the games to people who don't follow all these things. A big 30 minutes of exposition explaining the lore would be welcome. Or just not reference any of it during the game or else it will turn out like Halo 4 story, a big mess.

That's a nice cover. I don't remember much of Onyx, and haven't read anything after it (lore-wise) so I'm wondering if that's really SPI Armor or if it's just a new MJOLNIR-type that I'm not familiar with.

Edit: so you guys really think there's a chance we'll get Blue Team *in game* this time? That'd be a first, no? I'd love it.

This. I'm a pretty cynical halo lore fan, and was not sure with the preview. By ep 3 I was hooked.

It's probably the most well acted stuff I've seen in the Halo universe (outside of Keith David, of course).

They're like 10-13 minutes each, so devote 50 minutes to just relaxing and listening to smooth sweet intrigue.

I can't wait to hear this week's episode! The action is really picking up. I was so weirded out at the end of last episode. It's like the people walking next to the ONI facility couldn't even see it or something, or were making an active decision to avoid the black asphalt.
