Yeah I should have posted this, I know some people can't watch videos, sorry about that.

He said he did OHK a guy with a melee in the back of his head while he was prone, but couldn't confirm if it was a OHK due to the guy being hurt, smacked in the back of the head, or being prone.
Oh no worries, man! Yeah he wasn't sure if the guy was already hurt. Interesting stuff.

Well u better hope Activision is willing to pay for them.

I am pretty sure Microsoft's cloud is available to the developers of Windows and X1 games for peanuts. I mean having access to the cloud servers was a major selling point for developing X1 games.

I don't think EA would have paid MS huge sums for allowing them use MS servers with Titanfall.

I got my code about an hour ago but there's still no option for PC on the beta site.

Steam pre-orders automatically put the Beta in your Steam library when it's available for loading. Did you go through Steam?

Don't want to derail thread, but I didn't like the WW2 setting.

I wasn't a big fan of the WW2 setting until I played World at War. I liked that game so much that I even went back to play COD1 & COD2 haha. COD1 still has a pretty good campaign, the lone wolf feeling in some of the missions is a breath of fresh air.

Some cool tweets from PCdev at Treyarch.

https://twitter.com/pcdev/status/592767945794785283

I wonder if there is a server browser but most likely that will not happen because Blops 2 didn't have it also but it also had ranked dedi servers.

Yet again good news.

All in all PC version is going to be great as expected from Treyarch.

Good. Just give me a server browser with MODS and INSTAND BUY.

I know that this game needs to be 60fps for it's competitiveness, but are we sure this isn't crossgen? The video was horribly compressed even at 1080@60. Hopefully this engine scales well and what we say was just current gen console and/or average spec'd PC footage.

The more I hear about this game the more it's reeling me in. I'm not sure about two hit melees. Some of the fun came from going commando with a knife. The risk of going knife only just increased.

The mod tools in blops 1 were kind of crummy. I rather have them focus on server browser, console (the ~ button for those that play on consoles), and other important features. They can ignore the mod tools if they are only going to be like blops 1.

But server browser is needed.

You going for just stuff that got revealed yesterday, or any and all info about the game that has emerged in the last few days?

Just the interesting stuff I've seen that we didn't already know on Friday after the Gamestop leak, really. I'm sure the list will get bigger by the end of the day... YouTubers are still putting up new stuff by the hour.

Most likely they will have the same stupid playlist system with matchmaking for ranked. PCDev is saying it will be the same as the previous Black Op games.

I still don't get why people don't complain about playlists. There are no options, no filters, and no customization. Do console players like playlists?

I could at least tolerate them if they gave the options you get with a browser. Let me filter maps, modes, and player count, and then match me off those settings. Don't force me into a set playlist where I have to quit and rejoin every time a map I hate comes up.

There's nothing to weigh, contracting a third party studio to handle a port during the final months of development doesn't affect the design or quality of what the primary studio produces in any tangible way as it occurs after a game is effectively made and ready to be ported. There are budgets for ports as well that are separate from the primary studio's budget, not that such a thing is even relevant in the case of COD. The reaction seen on this forum in response to a conjured up rumor that there would be no 360/PS3 port was laughable for this reason - it encapsulates the ignorance of elitist gamers who feel disenfranchised because their favorite series, platform, or developer is, they feel, being "held back" due to the mere existence and continued support of hardware older than their own.

Not how it works. If a last gen port is a goal of the publisher, the lead studio isn't allowed to push the primary budget on features that can't run on last gen.

Well that doesnt make sense as blops 1 had a server browser and server customization, while blops 2 was console lobby crap. So which is it? They need to clarify this.

But it worked out for the Wii and it was (power wise) around the previous gen consoles. But it got ported over. Hell I bought my dad mw3 for the wii so he could play the spec ops missions.

This is actually ridiculously awesome information... my excitement is returning.

And i'd never thought i'd see the one-hit kill melee removed, this is amazing.

Not true. Shadow of Mordor on last-gen had a seriously watered-down version of the Nemesis system, which was the game's main selling point. Instead of holding the game back on current gen, the 360 & PS3 versions suffered so current-gen could shine.

From GamesRadar: "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor developer Monolith Productions told IGN today that they’re focusing more heavily on the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game. Specifically, the game’s ambitious AI system, dubbed “Nemesis,” will be somewhat diluted in the previous-generation versions, because they’re just not quite equipped to handle it. Considering that the developers have specifically referenced the Nemesis system as the game's big, next-gen feature, this makes sense."

Activision/Treyarch probably want to push the boundaries on current gen to get people to finally upgrade. Less players on old consoles = bigger player base spread across fewer platforms. At any rate, only current-gen and PC versions of BO3 have been confirmed so far.

Who knows, maybe they will answer later? My guess especially if it uses the Microsoft servers that it will be lobby based playlists.

There were rumors on the Titanfall forums about the MS servers limiting the option to offer browsers because the servers only spin up when there is a match. This is also why you are stuck with 90 second lobbies after every match.

I personally like playlists.

Why? The only answer I ever hear is they are easy to hop into.

And do you usually like all the maps? If not what do you do when a map comes up you hate or are burned out on? When I ask what happens when a map comes up you don't like, they either love every map or they quit and rejoin the playlist for a different map or pick a different playlist.

Ultimately having both a browser and playlists would be best, but if not it just seems like it would be better if you could create playlists based the community preferences. Of course being on PC since most skip FPS games without browsers, the playlist limits you to only the most popular mode otherwise you sit forever hoping you might get into a match.

I just want to click on Team Deathmatch or Kill Confirmed and start playing. I don't want no stupid server list/browser.

Who the hell wants to browse through thousands of stupid servers just to look for a match? That's what I hate about Battlefield and I think Killzone had it too.

That's an exception though. And pretty much all current-gen CODs have identical features with old-gen versions and that's likely them catering to the lowest common denominator.

If I don't like a map then I just quit the match, but I've never really hated a map enough to never play on it.

You haven't really given any reason why COD should add a browser. It really isn't necessary at all. You want to play Domination? Click on Domination and it'll find a match of you. It's a simple as that.

What they can do is offer both. That way people that cant figure out browsers can click the DURRR button, and the rest of us can play the game the way we want.

If server browsers are so hard for you, you should probably stick to console gaming. Enjoy sitting lobbies and waiting for game to start. Two maps to vote for and neither you want. Then as the lobby counts down people leave so the count down timer has to start all over again. God that sounds so fun. I cant wait to experience that again from blops 2. Absolutely exciting.

i can understand both sides. one side just wants to get in a game as quickly as possible. some people want to be able to pick what maps they play, specific game type (for the modes that have multiple, etc.), see stuff like time remaining, numbers of players, etc.

i prefer the quick match myself. when it comes to server browsing it ends up being like netflix for me...can't decide what i want to watch sometimes and kinda lazy heh

Or people who don't like a map can just get over it and deal with it? That sounds like a simpler option.

So this game is about always having control of your weapon even when moving at fast speeds or wall-running........

Yet no one has asked the most important question.... pretty much one of the things that makes CoD so dumb (besides not being able to see your own feet)...

Can you finally reload while running?

This is the thing. When Im in a dedicated server that isnt bound by a lobby system and we have customization, the server just goes from map to map right away, no 60 second waiting bullshit. The game finishes, we look at the scoreboards for like 10 seconds, then off to the next map. No waiting. No bullshit voting. No people dropping in and out delaying the countdown. Just straight to the next game. In the end it becomes faster and more responsive. I can play the game for as long as I want and I dont spend half my time in a lobby.

I haven't played Advanced Warfare, but the bolded was a perk in Ghosts.

No melee kills? Wtf. I'm not a fan of panic knifing, but now it's been gimped to damage only?

personally i never use knives myself and when i do i always either miss or lose lol, so i dont have a huge problem with it. maybe theres a perk that restores lethality to knives
