I'm so confused....
Watching this thread keep adding posts over the weekend, finally got around to coming inside - because its Monday. Now I don't understand these last few posts.

Was it mere speculation that something would be announced? A reach...?

The tweet implied a crowd funding event would happen on the 11th, not that it got delayed. The second tweet about the full moon happened after that tweet, too. Why is everyone assuming the announcement is late? Is Monday over?

I really don't think that is what it was implying

"what arrives with the moon, and what comes later?"

What that tells me is that there will be an announcement of the project today, but that the Kickstarter won't come until next week.

Something is arriving "with the moon", so there must be something coming today

I'm not, but that doesn't make it a 16-bit console.
But this doesn't mean much, and the difference is not as clear cut anyway.

Technically speaking, the Intellivision was 16 bit.
Double Dragon arcade was 8 bit (a bunch of 8bits actually).
Black Tiger, Tiger Road etc. were 8 bit.
So while this isn't "NES" 8 bit it still falls in the 8 bit ballpark for me.
Defining retro styles using bits is limiting, though. Let's just say I hope it doesn't go for the minimalist retro style that's so popular these days.

I really doubt Konami would let go one of their IPs for less than 10M$. A lot more when it's one they're still making money from.

Talk about throwing away money. It's not that hard to concoct a new vampire hunting universe (Order of Ecclesia kind of was without falling back on the Belmont clan).

I really expected something by now. The full moon was last night and we are well into today, even by Pacific time. No press releases, no more clues, no announcements... What is going on?

The moon is officially waning now.

Maybe pranksters having fun.

I'd check the released sprites and compare them to existing material if I was a devoted fan.

Reused sprites in teaser material would transform the whole thing into a hoax.

You don't use copyrighted material for teasing an upcoming spirtual successor kickstarter.
