Making threads about what developers retweet is fun!

if they keep releasing bombas whos gonna hired them again?

They already released sales failures when they were on contract with Sega and still keep getting contracts.

Since you're basically predicting Scalebound to be a bomb at this point, here's the hypothetical: if most of their games are sales bombs, regardless of platform, then maybe it's not a platform-specific issue at that point and we don't have to make it one.

And if Nintendo is the publisher of this game, they're still willing to give Platinum money after not one, but TWO sales failures. In such a scenario where Nintendo were concerned in that regard, the lesson should have already been learned. So if Nintendo is giving them more money, it tells me that they acknowledge the sales limitations of Platinum's games and don't really care.

Again, not rocket science.

okay my hopes are back up that was

I'd like to see them deal with a Nintendo property. I don't even care which one. After W101 and Bayo2, two of my absolute favourite WiiU games and action games, they have most certainly earned it.
Considering the fact The Wonderful 101 was originally supposed to use Nintendo characters I can see Nintendo giving them a shot at one of their franchises.

I would actually rather this game(unless it's Star Fox) release on Non-Nintendo platforms, if not in addition to the Wii U. I think Platinum has a similar design philosophy to what comes from Nintendo first party, and there's more of a deficit elsewhere. Also, it would be cool to see one of their games sell big.

That'd be cool! I never picked up revengance so I'd be in the "I sure am glad bayonetta 2 comes with the first game!" Boat again! :D

Exactly, but in an ideal world we should be expecting Platinum to develop a character action game starring Takamaru from The Mysterious Murasame Castle(when is it getting released for Wii U's VC anyway? It's been out in Japan for over a year now).

If only! A samurai fighting aliens who have brainwashed all the ninjas in Japan is something I'd love to see them tackle

They can make it an action game
If they wanna make a straight up brawler I think there are better premises to take than boxing matches.
They proved they can make Punch-Out in Wonderful 101.

Go play some video games.
That boss fight also stands out because of how simple the controls are in comparison to the rest of the game. Punch Out, as a concept, stands against Platinum games in general, being complicated controls and stylish action combos.

Looking all the way back to October, Hashimoto seems to be a huge fan of Nintendo's as he retweets a lot of their PR channels in both Japanese and English but never Directs unless a Platinum game was a part of it. I actually didn't see any retweets for Playstation, Sony, Xbox or Microsoft conferences or PR streams, just specific game announcements on their specific PR channels like Ubisoft or Batman Arkham.

But either way, it's really hard to tell since he seems to use it for personal use. I went so far back, people were congratulating him on the GAF GOTY awards for Bayo 2, lots of retweets about the Marvel movies like Black Panther and Bayonetta 2 coming out in a week from multiple outlets like Gamespot and IGN.

I agree that the fact that his retweet is about the digital event could be an indication here. We are not talking about him posting about something specific here, so it is at least suspect.

I actually disagree. Punch Out has one design element that is held high in most of Platinum Games- Reading your opponent and exposing their weakness. This is a theme in many of Platinums games if not all.

The stylish combos are the extra flair to look good while doing so.

Based on a tweet? He could just be excited about Nintendo's E3 conference.

Either way, looking forward to see what they're showing at E3 (if anything). I loved Bayonetta 2 and MGR:R, although I still need to play through Vanquish and W101.

I guess, yeah. It's easier to tell when Soraya retweets something of Nintendo's then we know something Monolith Soft's is going to be shown. She doesn't use Twitter as much and when she does, it's mostly talking and that Tomorrowland finally came out in Japan. Her other Twitter is just her drawings and doodles which is filled with lots and lots of JoJo art.

If this is Sony or MS I say it will leak before the weekend bet on it

if it is Nintendo we will not know unless someone takes a spy photo of the E3 booths again ala Mario Maker

It's actually already out on the 3DS VC. Wish it were out on the Wii U VC though.

You could even do some cool things using old samurai movie tropes (and maybe a hint of Samurai Jack) and the end of The Mysterious Murasame Castle as it is now. Send Takamaru on a journey to expunge the otherworldly presence from the world after relics that came in contact with the "strange object" show signs of its life force.

Whether their new game is for Nintendo or not we'll definitely see them partner up with Nintendo again in the near future. It's already weird not having a platinum release on the WiiU this year since we've had one for the last two years. I've gotten used to late summer/fall platinum releases now and need more.

I ain't assuming nothing about nothing man. Might as well be working on a collab with swery for all I know.

Maybe Nintendo remembered to put drapes over their things this time. We'll be forced to wait for E3.

Championships will at least be in few days tho.

maybe Bayonetta is a smash4 dlc lol we get news sunday

I really am skeptical that PG's game is for WiiU now
it would be too good after two failed sellers for Nintendo to continue to fund games
but those games got a lot of buzz

Yeah, I'm skeptical myself. Though it would be very fun, lol.
