Canada E3 Deals 2015 IOTI Actually, even better than last year!

What I'll likely do is order the ones I'm 100% sure about from Amazon; the ones I'm not sure about from BestBuy for an hassle-free return (that's still better than buying them on the release date if I want them).

The matter of returns is really the only thing that can make me pick Best Buy.
In the end we're going to pay $64+tax, last year the games ended at around $55 tax incl., am I right?
So not exactly better than last year...

My personal experience with Best Buy is that when you call to change the address it's honestly pretty easy and straightforward, unless your order is already in shipping.
Even then though a game shipped to the wrong/old address (it happened me) you can call and explain the matter, the game will be returned to them, but they'll put a note on it and you can go to a Best Buy and get the game for the same E3 price. I did this with Bloodborne.

BTW, games get forwarded if you have the mail forward service as they are mail and not parcels (parcels don't get forwarded).

This is what I got:

Street Fighter V
God of War 3 Remastered
Call of Duty Black Ops 3
Senran Kagura 2
Rachet & Clank
Mighty No 9
Forza Motorsport 6

Also for some reason they all say "Shipping Soon" and it says "request cancellation" for whatever reason

If I cancel one game from Amazon in the future, do I lose the discount on all games (if I still have more than 3 games remaining in the order)?

No. Just make sure at least 3 games left on your order so you won't lose your discounts

Prime in the Toronto area sounds like a same-day delivery.

Does anyone know how much it would be to ship a game back to Amazon?

Nabbed Fallout 4, Batman: AK and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided for the 30% off deal.

Can I do another set of 3 or am I limited to just one deal? Also found it odd that I can choose Batman which comes out in 2 weeks but not MGSV, lol.

You can use it for as many orders until the 18th

Depending on how the conferences go, this will probably be a lighter year for me.

I still have some (hopefully) good stuff leftover from previous years. I'll definitely be nabbing Fallout 4, though, and may even do it through Best Buy 'cause I'll want to place it as close to release as possible. Persona 5 and NHL 16 are the other two I'm sure I'll pre-order.

Xenoblade X is also making me want to get a Wii U, so cheering for a price drop at E3.

So I pre ordered Mankind Divided, Batman and Rachet and Clank.

The rachet order is seperated, but the batman and deus ex one is together, and I don't know if that means the items are grouped together

Also missing:
- The Talos Principle
- Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection
- Mario Maker
- Fatal Frame: Oracle of the Sodden Raven

Uncharted is not on the list but actually is eligible if you go to the product page. I'll check and add the others, thanks!

Not necessarily. Amazon.ca does group pre-orders together if their release dates are very close (I got Destiny and DanganRonpa 2 in one shipment). But usually they only group shipments together for games with placeholder release dates, ex. December 31, 2015. So if either or both of those games have placeholder dates, I wouldn't worry.

I have Fallout 4 PC pre-ordered but it's basically a backup. After 30%, Fallout 4 PC (and any $79.99 PC game) is $55.99 ($63.27 after 13% tax in Ontario). Green Man Gaming has it for $59.99 USD. At an exchange rate of, say, 1.25 CAD = 1 USD, and after an assumed 23% discount (that's the usual GMG voucher value), I get $57.75 CAD. But GMG charges immediately, so I'm basically waiting to see what I can get from them closer to the release date.

I think its a problem that is plaguing the industry atm, no companies, distributor, want to take chance to pile up on games, so pre-orders are the way to go. Its in a way the best way to predict how many you will sell, and add an extra 25% let say for sale out of pre-orders.

BUT now, you seem forced to pre-order.You get better value if you do it right away, and if you dont do , pay the full price. But the real question is, why are you able to get right away a 30% discount? Wouldnt they lose money? How does companies deal with distributor? I mean, if they can cut right away 30%, whats the problem of doing it when its released? Do game makers give em a discount if they do that right away or its a company policy and they agree to lose money to get you to buy it? I seriously dont understand.

Well, Batman is out next week. Hope it doesn't get delayed.

So let me get this clarified. Say I make a big order of like 10+ games. 3 of those I know for sure I want and they come out this year. I'll be free to cancel any of the other games without affecting the discounts since those 3 have been shipped?

I'll happily stock up on 2016+ releases if so.

Uncharted Collection is missing, as well as star wars battlefront

The actual page does include it.

List of missing Amazon.ca E3 promo games. Let me know if it's not viewable. Quote/PM me if you have any games that need adding, or if any of the games become available.

Missing from Amazon completely:
- Little Battlers eXperience (3DS)
- Bravely Second: End Layer (3DS)
- Chibi Robo: Zip Lash (3DS) - may have two versions, one with Amiibo and one without
- Legend of Legacy (3DS)
- Hyrule Warriors (3DS, not officially announced)
- Steins;Gate (PS3/Vita)
- Stella Glow (3DS, not confirmed for retail release)

Mankind Divided (PS4/XB1) works. PC version missing.

I could do a smaller order for 2016 games but what if I cancel too much and it drops below 3 games?

I'm quite tempted to ditch Best Buy in favour of Amazon this year, but their free Super Saver shipping leaves much to be desired. I've experienced lost parcels and weeks-long delays; not sure it's worth it, even with 30% off and the lower MSRP. With BestBuy, I almost always get my games on release day.

Moreover, as a Quebec resident, apparently I'm ineligible for the Amazon Prime free trial. Although the help page says that the first 30 days are free, the terms and conditions aren't exactly filling me with confidence. I wonder if I sign up for the full, 13-month membership (the only option available in Quebec) and cancel within 30 days, if I can avoid the $79 charge and having the two-day shipping times of my orders affected.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Got an initial big order in. I’ll make a second one for stuff that gets announced or added to the promotion. The discounted prices aren’t what they used to be, but it’s still nice to see a bunch of sub-$50 prices in my pre-order tracking list.

The spreadsheet is already coming along great. Thanks for that!

I love how everyone extolling the virtues of Amazon.ca are going to be the same ones crying when their games dont ship until 2 weeks after release. The Bestbuy deal sucks but at least they ship the games on time.

I've never had this problem with Amazon.ca. Especially not with the 2 day shipping option chosen/Prime membership.

I just realized why some games aren't included. If its a pre order and recieve special edition game, its void from the promotion

AC, MGSV, and battlefront are doing that.

Kinda dumb to exclude them, because they have a dumb name attached to their pre order bonus

Amazon hassles people when it comes to returns?
Or are you just referencing the fact that there are brick and mortar locations you can return the game to if you don't want it?

I tried to pre-order the pc version of BF and there was no special edition and it still was not included in the promo.
