I wish we saw rare expand upon this. I loved the jet ski demo, even with kinect controls, and would have paid full price for a full games worth of additional content

This game looked absolutely incredible. One of the highlights of E3. It was like a cross between Kingdom of Amalur and Wind Waker. I am absolutely in for this game.

A new Rare IO, and it looks absolutely gorgeous, with a unique art style? Amazing.

I saw the pirates in the trailer and immediately thought "OH SHIT they're reviving Project Dream...!"

Of course that didn't end up being the case, but this game looks really cool though. Very 90s Rare-esque, something we haven't seen in a while from them.

Last I heard of Rare was that they were working on a pirate themed Nintendoland style game that didn't use Kinect. It was in the concept stage so I have no idea if they decided to carry on with it or moved on to something else.

I think this could be a really good title. I want a new Banjo/Battle toads just as much as the next person but I also don't mind if they want to branch off and do something new and interesting.

I have a good feeling about this one and looking forward to more details on the game. Hey it could of just been a new Kinect game or some shit.

While I'm certainly no fan of the Kinect games, this here, being a first person online-only game that mimics the pirate gameplay I could already have in three Assassin's Creeds before, is probably about the worst they could have done. Kinect Sports 4 would probably have been a better game for me.

Looks fun this, water looks great. Why is the water so good in like wave racing games but then bad in everything else?

There would be less backlash if it was a meaty single player adventure but this looks like yet another generic MMO to throw into the pile. These kinds of games are dime a dozen on PC.

Actually I'd guess they are making Battletoads. The leak called it Rare Replay + Battletoads Kit.

I cannot understand why they didn't at least make a new Banjo game with a small team, they've obviously been asked about it a lot and as much as people are downplaying this, take a look at Yooka-Laylee's kickstarter, take a look at Shenmue 3's kickstarter, take a look at Bloodstained's. What people here are asking for in droves can absolutely be profitable and yield a lot of goodwill.

I wish Beanland hadn't made that Vine tease of him finding and fixing a banjo. I get that they troll, like they did with Killer Instinct for years, but that was just wrong.

It was sarcasm. The last few games they made / are making are:
An online game (Sea of Pirates)
A simulation (Viva Pinata 2 & DS)
Three sports games (Kinect Sports)

So in order to make them complete the list of genres I cannot stand, they should logically do a shooter next.
