Yup, I'm getting games really quickly.

Complex CTF just got voted for over Rats nest CTF though, it wasn't even close. BTB really is full of H4 kids.

Or perhaps outside of this forum people do actually enjoy the game? Try linking everyone in the match to here next time so they can get the memo..

Slightly Live

How is it not the same? It is literally Theater except you could spectate live games and you could fast forward, pause and rewind.

If you want to deny that it's built off the theater mode, then good for you.

It has rewind? OK, I haven't seen it but if it works like that then that's baller.

But does it work in Campaign and Warzone too?

nah mate quite the contrary
Opinions and all that...

@nowise. It dont hold a candle to 2. Infact now that they have removed lots of fluff from 4, I would rather play that. Blasphemy on here I know.

Edit. Sorry jem, I dont visit this thread often, but now I remember you being positive to 4. My mistake

Huh?

Where did I say liking H4 is bad? I love H4, I'm known for having "terrible" opinions because I defend it.

I was just commenting on the fact that BTB seems to be filled with H4 players. There's nothing really wrong with that, however Complex is just a terrible map and like 9 people voted for it.

Im sorry but the MCC has made realise why i stopped playing halo 3 two months after release in 07. Its shit

I wouldn't call it shit, however it's definitely my least favorite multiplayer wise. The campaign was decent though.

A lot of h3's maps were fairly forgettable. I wouldn't say it's shit either, but it definitely wasn't great. Loved the campaign to pieces, but the MP was.... Blargh

I both love and hate H3.

It has by far the worst weapon sandbox out of all the Halos. The weapons are really bad.

However there's something about it which is just fun.

Yeah..... The h3 weapon sandbox is really bad overall. Cringing at the thought of the brute needlers especially. Yikes.

Just thinking, if you don't get Xbox Live Gold, Halo 5 is almost a paperweight of a game. You can only do 1 player campaign offline and that's it. There is literally nothing else. No multi-player, no firefight, no spartan ops. Just crazy to think about.

Well, Halo is what basically drove Xbox Live into prominence... What else would you expect in buying a Halo game?

I like the spiker grenade but the fire ones weren't needed. A second shotgun, trip mines and shit like that were just fluff that again wasn't needed

Actual offline gametypes? Halo was popular for split screen play, and look where we are at today. Who gives a shit if it did anything for XBL? Doesn't mean offline features should be stripped away.

True. But come on? Xbox Live Gold market penetration is still pitifully low compared to amount sold, for silver users, the game is nothing more than a single campaign now and that's it.

Offline custom games, right?

right?

ffs

Well since all customs use dedicated servers, I'm guessing nope. It's just mind boggling. No BTB at launch, no campaign theater, no firefight, no spartan ops, you'd expect the game to add to what exists instead of taking it away. If you just want to play alone there is also nothing to do except campaign. You have to match up against other players for warzone.

Is there a list anywhere to all the features 343 has stripped out of Halo since 4? Just seems like it would be really big.

H3 rules. The weapons are not bad, they are just difficult to use. Unlike H2 with its barn door hitboxes and hitscan. lrn2play
kidding about hitscan, hitscan is good, don't ever take it away again

Features that existed in previous Halo games? lol

To be quite frank, if you have a new console and don't subscribe to their online services, you're missing out on at least 75% of the goodness, in my view.

I agree. But I think I read Xbox Live subscribers were at 48 million, and that's gold and silver over both Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Their combined sales are easily over 100 million consoles. Which means roughly half of all consoles sold by then don't even use the free Live silver service let alone pay for gold. And now there is nothing for non-Gold users except a single player campaign.

Can you save films and record clips though? In the MCC you can create clips that go to your upload studio but you can't actually save matches.

Unrelated but how do people feel about no campaign for Battlefront? Lot of DICE fans have been saying for a long time to just cut their campaigns and focus on MP especially for Battlefield but I won't lie, I kind of wanted a story campaign for the game.

Bad Co 2 was the last good DICE campaign. They should stay away from it now.

Thats why EA has more than just Battlefront in development for StarWars ;) Visceral will have that adventure Story game and Bioware will probably bring us a spiritual successor to KOTOR.

Im fine with no Campaign in Battlefront. Give me a well made and fun StarWars MP game and im happy :D Multiplayer is DICE's strength

It doesn't bother me. The first two BF didn't really have a campaign, it was just mainly single player with bots. I'd rather them focus solely on making the multiplayer great, rather than some half bake campaign. The series has always been multiplayer focused.

So no more split screen at all? Or am I reading this wrong?

This sucks. Not that I really play split screen all that much these days, but... damn. It was nice to have the option - it's kinda fundamental Halo an all...

Well for one I expect to go in and see more content and features as opposed to less. Sequels are supposed to add and improve features, not take them away.

Offline play and couch co op have always been a huge part of Halo. Hell, mean and my siblings used to play custom games all the damn time because we didn't have internet for a while. As excited as I am for Halo 5, it is certainly sounding like it leaves Mich to be desired for the individual player and the offline community.

Nope, you've understood it correctly. Split screen is dad.

"Why would I want my bullets to land where I'm aiming?"

Only on Halogaf

I've seen a lot of people make comments about how something being broken is somehow 'good' because it makes the game more difficult.

It's a bit lol wut

I loved Halo 3 back in the day but I really can't stand it in the MCC. Shooting is just plain out not fun without hitscan.
