Jeff Pinkner and Akiva Goldsman

The latter of which of course is better known as the writer on classics such as Batman and Robin

Also apparently Robert Kirkman, along with a dozen of other randoms, is involved in the Transformers movie franchise "brain trust", ensuring another dozen sequels and spin offs are on the way too.

This train never ends.

It's gonna be dumbbbbbb. TF 1 will always be the peak and that one is still pretty bad but it least it has the arrival scene and a decent score.

Still waiting for one of these movies to finally get Unicron in it. Pretty much the only thing I care about seeing from these movies.

When are they going to cross over Fast & Furious and Transformers? I feel it's the next logical step.

I just want a good story.

That's all. Good story and characters, especially the Transformers themselves being good characters.

Is it that too much to ask for 4 movies later? :(

I have a strange fascination with these movies. They have been seriously getting worse and worse and stupider and stupider. I have a tradition with my friend that we go see them in the theater.

After the end of the 4th one, I imagine the next one will be in deep space and robotic monstrosity(optimous prime) vs some organic lovecraftian monstrosity. That would be kind of cool.

But I am sure it will be on earth so the army can get involved....

I don't know, for all of its faults, Dark of the Moon wasn't as bad as Robo-testicles and Robo-racism.

Don't you mean the Astrotrain never ends?

I can't seen any of these movies being watchable by any stretch of the imagination. Sure I've seen all of them, but god damn they're bad.

They are actually kind of fun if you go into them knowing just how shameless they are.

My friend and I have a game, point an American flag or an ad before the other person!

We just about lost it at the Oreo robot in the last one.

I've always thought it odd that people ever wanted a good story out of a Transformers movie.

It's Transformers.

The Transformers movies are kind of like that Lewis Black joke about Candy Corn. Every time they come out, like an Alzheimer's patient we go see em as if the last one wasn't horrible.

"oohhh a Transformers movie!"...."SON OF A BITCH!"

Oh I know, how do you think I've managed to see all of them in the theatre on opening weekend? I lost it when they had something turn into a giant My Little Pony and the last one was actually a lot better than the second movie. That's actually the only really offensive sequel, the rest are just harmless fun. It's not high art Shakespeare, but I know what I'm getting from the franchise.

I'm more surprised at the fact that these films have scripts at all.

I'm shocked.

I've always thought it odd that people ever wanted a good story out of a Transformers movie.

It's Transformers.

That is a poor excuse.. Films CAN BE both entertaining and full of bangs and explosions, while still having some respect for the viewers intellect.

Nope, not even going to both with this one. Dark of the Moon was enough to turn me off from the movies. I didn't even watch Age of Extinction and I have a few hundred Transformers figures (G1, Masterpiece, 3rd party, etc.) and buy the toys on a regular basis.

It's never too late to start.

People love these characters, Megatron, Starscream, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. Why not try to make them more interesting in the movies.

Even Trasformers Prime did a better job of doing this.

Filming bud light cans all over the road takes up some running time dude!
Not to mention making damn sure you get the American flag at every angle and have military planes taking off.

The studios already know they'll never do a better job than Beast Wars: Transformers.

When we starting playing the "point out the US flag" game, it was amazing how often it was there.

Then they went to china and we got sad. But never fear! Chinese flags are everywhere now!

Sounds a lot better than "Batman and Robin screenwriter Akiva Goldsman".

You guys swear like Batman and Robin would be a step down for Transformers.

Hvae you seen any of the goddamn movies?

Well, I rewatched Batman and Robin recently, and...it's a perfectly adequate midnight movie.

What I really want to see is Winter's Tale, which Goldsman also happened to direct. I hear it's so hilariously incompetent and bad, so I should make for an enjoyable watch, at least.

Of course since they have to make that Chinese money too. It's like "product placement the movie" I'll never forget that Xbox 360 transforming from the first movie.

Well they could save themselves a few paychecks by buying my good to go Transformers screenplay of Robots that have to hide in plain sight by forming themselves as local vehicles.
Humans hold an advantage over them because they accidentally landed on earth and water is a new corrosive to them.
Corporations side with autobots and decepticons ally with a local family in Oregon.

I watched that shitheap AoE on Netflix earlier this month. I am SO glad I didn't go see that in theaters. Should've stopped watching after the Twins in RotF, but I fell for the hype and watched Optimus beg for his life like a bitch in DotM.

Something's gonna have to change in a big way to get me back in theaters for any more of these.
