Nintendo: line-up for the rest of 2015 (Star Fox, Fatal Frame 5, more)

After NES Remix and Wii Sports Club I'm not buying eShop only games only for Nintendo to release them on disc later, so no Fatal Frame for me. Good job, Nintendo!

This. We didn't know how packed W101 & Bayonetta 2 were until close to their respective releases. Plus, knowing Nintendo, we could see a 3D World-tier facelift from a graphical standpoint.

Yea they also said they are still considering online for Star Fox, so that would be a nice surprise if it gets in.

A two player online boss rush similar to Bayo 2 would be cool, Nintendo can just let Platinum do that on their end.

*insert snarky comment about cleaning the fridge from the WiiWare days*

But seriously, Fatal Frame deserves more than just a digital release :(

Batteries the CRISIS!
Also why is Rodea missing or was that delayed?

There's only so much room on that graphic. NoA could have chosen a lot ("lot," heh) of other third-party games to highlight, but only chose a few from this list:

Sept. 20: Skylanders SuperChargers (Activision)
Sept. 27: LEGO Dimensions (WB)
Oct. 13: Shovel Knight (Yacht Club Games)
Oct. 20: Terraria (505 Games)
Oct. 20: Just Dance 2016 (Ubisoft)
Oct. 20: Guitar Hero Live (Activision)
Oct. 20: Adventure Time: Finn and Jake Investigations (Little Orbit)
Oct. 27: Monster High: Ghoul School (Little Orbit)
Oct. 30: Disney Infinity 3.0 (Disney)
Nov. 3: Barbie and Her Sisters: Puppy Rescue (Little Orbit)
Nov. 3: Snoopy's Grand Adventure (Activision)
Nov. 10: Rodea the Sky Soldier (NISA)
Nov. 17: Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends (Little Orbit)
Winter: LEGO Marvel's Avengers (WB)
Winter: Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories (Natsume)

Rodea was delayed, though, to be accurate. From October to November.

What's your budget. I have a 2TB I think I got it for under 80.

No more than $50 for sure, preferably below that. I really doubt I going to need it that much more beyond FF so I rather not spend so much. I already have a couple in mind, but meh I look out later on, cause I plan to check out FF sometime down the road anyway now.

I am definitely going to wait for reviews to drop. Not nearly enough enemies on screen.
Honestly it wouldn't be the first time a game franchise I loved has a bad game *coughStickerStarcough*

I think you have something stuck in your throat. ;)

Apropos of nothing, Sticker Star is a supremely under-appreciated game.

Funny if Nintendo wouldn't have made fatal frame available in NA... people would have thrown a tantrum. But they are releasing it in "SOME" form and people still have issues. Ha! No winning.

Well, for many of us "winning" would be parity with the EU release. It's fine if it doesn't matter to you, but people aren't silly or petty just because they don't share your priorities.

Am I blind or is the Mario 30th anniversary amiibo not dated? The modern one is exclusive to the Wal-Mart Wii U bundle, but the other one?

EDIT: Oh, missed the picture.

Tied to the system. I have multiple systems, I should be able to download the game across all of them, no? I have 2 Wii Us. I have 2 "accounts". Ok, maybe it'd be better if I filled the space in with an 'n' and took out a few words: "Nonsense account system". Haha.

It's not really tied to the console. In the Wii era, it was. You lost the system (or it broke, was stolen, etc.), your account was likely lost, unless you had verified your digital purchases through Club Nintendo.

Now, your account is part of your Nintendo Network ID, but Nintendo only allows one system (one 3DS and one Wii U) to have access to it at any given time.

And yeah, it sucks. But it's far better than it was last generation. Obviously they have much further to go.

I'm tired of the anxiety that comes from Nintendo throwing money at stuff. They buy Monolithsoft, fans has to be on their knees to get Xenoblade. They fund Last Story, fans on their knees. Even their own franchise like Mother 3, fans had to beg and beg and got nothing. The thing is, they don't bother trying to market their games in the U.S. other than their tent poles. Fatal Frame had been a favorite of mine since watching clips on the GIA (best gaming site ever, RIP) and preordering every game from the 1st. Now, I'm supposed to feel lucky that the game is extremely late and digital at $50.

If I see Nintendo throw any money at a franchised or studio I love, my heart will sink...... Really really sink.

Not to bring up Sony in this conversation, but when they throw money at a game or studio, fans rejoice. We got Grim Fandango Remastered, Suikoden 2, Yakuza 5, games that didn't even exist like Shenmue 3... Their whole attitude is if there is a game fans want, we'll go out of our way to bring it out. And that's why Sony gets so much good will from fans.

Nintendo... Seriously, Nintendo.

Really got off topic there. A lot of solid releases this holiday season. Here's to hoping that the Yoshi amiibos don't look crappy compared to the advertisement prototypes.

From the PR:

I'd expect it in December.

I actually think it would be better if they just delay Ultra Smash to 2016 because really, What else are they gonna launch for Wii U after december? Only like 3 games or so are confirmed for Wii U through 2016 (With Zelda U included and let's keep in mind that the game is not even confirmed for a 2016 release...) So yeah. Hoping for a megaton announcement on October or something so they can announce... something!

I don't think they want to do a Nintendo Direct so soon after Iwata's passing. Maybe this Holiday or next year.

Yep. That's totally understandable :( But still I miss being excited for a ND, buh.

Sticker Star is trash, sorry Max.

On the contrary, it's excellent. How much of its splendor did you get to experience?

(P.S. I know I'm trying to talk quality with someone who can't appreciate the majesty of Skyward Sword, so I don't expect to convince you ;___;)

With all of this info there was totally going to be a Direct... I don't want to believe those are gone until I see there isn't one for TGS

I can't really disagree with anything you've said here. It's why I've become pretty apathetic about Nintendo this year and why I'm not really excited for NX yet. Because no matter how awesome it is, NoA will likely find some way to skip out on releasing a bunch of its games or we'll get them later than the rest of the world.

2015 is really the year I stopped tolerating NoA's BS.

Skyward Sword is majestic?!?! Damn... what adjectives do you use to describe the good Zelda games?

I got to like, world 2 before just giving up.

Skyward Sword suuuucks :p

In Europe, Star Fox Zero and Mario Tennis Ultra Smash will launch on the same day.

Only nintendo could mess up this badly...
leave your console with virtually no releases for ages then launch two titles on the same day.

Sucks that Fatal Frame is digital only. Guess I'm going to miss out on it.

Can't wait to finally play Youkai Watch after hearing about it from importers for so long.

I honestly think if Star Fox Zero underperforms, the series is done. Which sucks, because while I'm looking forward to it, I get why others are not and it will be a shame if Zero seals the fate of the franchise.

It's Nintendo, bro. There's no done...just some time on the shelf. Friggin' Kid Icarus got a huge new game after 20+ years. Chibi-Robo is getting a fourth shot at the crown this year.

WHERE'S F-ZERO?!?!?

: (

You're right though, Punch-Out!! came back after a 15 year absence!

Weird they didn't give an official release date for Mario & Sonic at Rio 2016.
These games always release in November-December the year prior the event.

Not that I'm excited for that game or anything, it's just that their soundtracks are always marvelous and I really want to hear new remixes from Nintendo games.

I really hope those games will let me use the Pro Controller otherwise I will not be buying them. Mario Maker is out of the question since I believe it’s gamepad only.

Mario Maker is GamePad-only for level creation, but I believe it supports various other controls for playing levels.

I think they already said that is going to be spring 2016

I felt the same until I saw this playthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6rBMq-N6Vc

Actually looks fun. If i knew 2 others with 3ds I would definitely get it.

Had the opportunity to try TFH @ the Best Buy event. It was a good amount of fun. Levels are not super lengthy based on the 1-2 I got to play. Those could just be intro ones, though. I imagine longer levels will exist in the game, too. I still don't understand quite how the player-matching and save systems will work for the game. Hoping it will be fun and packed with content, though.

Only really looking forward to Xenoblade and Fatal Frame, pending reviews. Maybe Mario Maker at some point.

I bet the US gets the same dates. I'm guessing both are going to need every last second of development time, and that's the latest they could release them and still make Black Friday. Star Fox still seemed pretty bare visually at E3 and Tennis came out of nowhere and might have been a rush job.

Yeah not bad since you showed me the trailer but I'm in the same boat as you - no one has a 3DS and/or is willing to purchase a Zelda game.

It can be played online, and there are some very clever chat icons, so I don't think you need to know anyone who has it, to be able to play it. I will probably primarily or even entirely playing with strangers online.

Can't wait for Xenoblade and Starfox. Awesome it's coming in november. Xenoblade will be my christmas game.

The releases for 3DS are depressing though... I'm only kinda interested in the Animal Crossing game.

Looking forward to Xenoblade, Devil's Third and Starfox. I was looking forward to Fatal Frame until this digital only business. If I pick it up, it will be on a sale.
