Just wanted that done quickly, better than my first ones but you'll quickly understand why.
Shame that the course preview spoil some stuff.
Tomorrow I'll take a peak at that idea book and the codes included.

Edit : and I unlocked haunted house/Mario World them while doing it.

Quick question, once we've uploaded our level online, can we then go back and edit it and re upload it, or is it that once it's out, it's out? It seems as though a lot of people are dying needlessly at the start of one of my levels and I'd like to change it so they can at least progress further somewhat.

You can't.

Apparently you can delete it and upload an edited version but any stars and comments you got on it won't be added to the updated course.

You can upload a new version, but you need to delete the old one. You can't just amend the one that's online.

This is to stop stat jankery, really.

Nintendo seems to always release on a Saturday here. This is the only game that will get me out of bed early on the weekend to buy it.

I don't think I've used a level editor since Tenchu 2 on PS1 in the 90's. Can't wait.

The tricky thing about designing a stage yourself is the thought "hmm maybe this is too easy" so you add in a few extra things that feel just right to me as the guy designing the course and knowing how it works but I wouldn't be surprised if a few of the things in here are a bit messy.

Actually I mean, it's totally the best castle stage ever guys, you should play it.

I know this OT is just going to be one an endless stream of codes, so I'll try make mine stand out for my latest level.

Hey you, yes you there. Do you like Bullet Bills? Do you like the funky guitar playing character KK Slider? Of course you do. So why not combine the two and play my new level "Sliding with Bill"

it didn't show up in your profile for me but i found it via search. really liked the low ceiling, cool idea!

Made a simple course with the initial tools (2FF4-0000-0012-3411). I'm really loving all the unnecessary but fun touches in the interface (such as Mashiko). If only I had this game 20 years ago.

This also reminds me of GAF creates... good times.

Indeed, tons of cheap deaths from what I played.
I got one level like the famous "cat mario" or Syobon Action, traps with hidden blocks everywhere and a pit to suicide.
Thanks goodness you can skip levels, just hoping that the more courses are uploaded, the more chances the expert challenge will be "fair".

They are just poorly designed and like to kill you with trial-and-error scenarios, or they make you do impossible sections without giving you a power-up.

Good stage! These are the kind of levels we need.
 
I'm guessing there is no way to fix trampolines into place? i.e. prevent Mario from being able to pick them up without having to use the SMB theme?

Has Takemoto (The creator of Kaizo Mario World) said yet if he is going to be making levels in this? I'd try to ask him myself on niconico but I don't know Japanese.

That is a game that I will not be sad to wait a few days to get because of a payment ... takes time to understand how to make good levels xD

Level design is really hard to get right, so not surprised. The 9 day thing would have not reduced the crappy levels if day 0 means anything.

Going to nap until it unlocks on NA eShop.

Treehouse is making an awesome coaster level where you have to switch between coasters.

Also you can shake diagonal tracks to turn them into curves and I had ZERO idea.

I didn't realise you could use Amiibo's! They animated all of those?

Really easy one here, but i'm still stuck with the early tile set and it has Rosalina in it.

Impossible to spot, trial and error obstacles are for Sonic as far as I'm concerned.
