I'm not sure why you're comparing Lost World to The Order: 1886 and Drive Club. The Street Fighter V comparison is a bit more apt, I suppose, though that title hasn't even released yet.
The Order: 1886 is a fully funded game published worldwide by Sony, who owns the IP. Drive Club was developed by Evolution Studios, a development house wholly owned by Sony. Street Fighter V may be receiving some development help from Sony, but it's a Capcom project through and through. Sony paid from console exclusivity. It's not an internally developed PlayStation project.
Your Lost World example is rubbish. Nintendo worked out an exclusivity deal with Sega for three Sonic titles. That's it. They did not aid in the development of these games in any way. If you would like to provide a link or two to prove the point you're making, that would be appreciated.
So that makes alright for how the games turn out? Just wash your hands of having anything to do with the game outside of publishing.
Don't undermine the fact they are Exclusive games, and have had a long relationship outside of those three games. Look at all the sonic Ds, 3DS, gameboy advance games there were.
And you couldn't get them anywhere else. SO to me if you are associating yourself with those exclusive games shouldn't you have a say in how they turn out?
Mario sonic Olympics games are exclusive solely to Nintendo 3DS, wii, Wii U.
I find it rubbish that they would sign a deal for Devil's third knowing the issues it had trying to come out on 360 and ps3. And not want to oversee the project. And also promote it, it seemed they were trying to distance themselves from that game. But since StaRFOX is Nintendo's brand they will take the extra mile for it.
But screw all the other games we helped publish exclusively on our console. That's what I'm getting at, people are saying Nintendo is squeaky clean when it comes to these things and I'm saying they signed the deal so there for the game that come out on their platform exclusively is also there responsibility on how it is received, previewed, and promoted.
Tomb raider is pretty much all PR timed deal with Microsoft, but they have been promoting the shit out of it, and also I bet if there were issues with production they wouldn't have taken the deal.
Nintendo then to me is the face for games like starfox, Sonic Colors, Sonic/mario olympics, sonic lost world. If those games were not part of a deal, and on all platforms then to me Nintendo is not at fault.
But they have the deal with sega, and their long partnership they have had over different consoles and handhelds shows, they care about that brand.
So to me they are just as liable for a games short Cummings as sega.
