Welcome to another edition of Fighting Tournaments Weekend!
What's that you say? The KO Fighting Tournament Festival this time starts on a Thursday, and ends on a Friday? That is not the weekend you say? Why not just title the thread Fighting Tournaments Weekly? All good questions, and the only answer I can give is that the mods scare me enough to leave the title alone for one week.
But you are right! KO Fighting Tournament Festival, the premier Capcom Pro Tour tournament starts at 6PM local time for both Thursday and Friday, so that means that for U.S. viewers, it will start at 11AM EST, and 8AM EST. Here is the schedule for Ultra Street Fighter IV
Notables include Dashio (who just won TGS!), Ryan Hart who is skipping this week's CPT ranking events in Europe to go for the gold, Akimo, RZR|Itabashi Zangief (Itazan), EG|Momochi (First big tournament since EVO 2015), RZR|Fuudo , YBK|Santarou YBK|KichiKen, RZR|Xian, EG|K-Brad & more!
KO Fighting is also hosting a Tekken Tag Tournament 2 tournament but I have no info on that currently.
Stream for USFIV will be on http://www.twitch.tv/capcomfighters
The Challonge bracket for both USFIV and TTT2 are up, and are subject to change before the tournament.
http://challonge.com/KOFGF15_USF4 - 88 players currently listed
http://challonge.com/KOFGF15_TTT2 - 31 players currently listed
The next tournament is The Call of Rangarok, a CPT ranking event held in Norway from Sept. 25th to Sept. 27th (however, the tournament is actually an one day event on Saturday). International players such as Shiro and Gonzales are skipping out of KO Fighting Tournament Festival in order to try to grab easier CPT points in Norway. They're joined by other notable players such as BX3.TPLINK|Phenom, Packz, BX3.TPLINK|Veggey, Pro Fluke, RBN|Duppsko, KIG|Problem X and more!
The stream schedule is here:
If there is another infographic, I will post it. You can watch the tournament here:
http://www.twitch.tv/rbnorway
Next up is EGX Tournament in the UK. It is a 2 day event that houses much of the U.K. talent that didn't go to Norway. Players expected to go are:
Deku|WSO Andreas
Pro Fluke
BT.UM|Hurricane
KIG|Problem X
Packz
RIZE|Infexious
BT.UM|Gunslinga
Afii
ECO|Ninja Shakz
BT.UM|Tyrant
BT.UM|Isam
BT.UM|RMZ
Now you might be wondering how Problem X is expected to go both EGX and The Call of Rangarok, and that is a good question. All I can say is that Problem X is an expert in Option Selects and he'll figure it out and then people will complain that this OS is too OP and should be taken out of the game.
Here is the stream schedule:
And you can watch here: http://www.twitch.tv/unequalledmedia
Now you might be wondering about the American players. Surely KBrad isn't the only brave Foolish American waiting to get bopped internationally right? Surely America knows it needs to be stop being the land of the free and instead become home of the brave, right?
Uh... Actually, they're probably be going to Absolute Battle 6, a Texas Major that like EGL 10K should have talked to somebody at Capcom to become a ranking event and didn't for some reason.
Still, if you want a variety of games this is the tournament for you, just look at the games list!
USF4 (X360 $1000 pot bonus)
Smash for Wii U ($500 pot bonus)
GGXrd (PS3)
KI (Xbone KI World Cup qualifier)
MKX (PS4 $1000 pot bonus)

UMVC3 (X360)
Super Smash Bros. Melee (GCU)

Last one up is Twitch Con! Twitch Con is happening Sept. 25th and Sept. 26th.
Twitch Con isn't actually hosting a fighting game tournament, but they have Infiltration, Gamerbee, 4th place at Evo 2010 Mike Ross, and 6th place at Genesis 2 Bobby Scar all working the event for their respective roles, and Infiltration is visiting Twitch Con instead of gatekeeping the tournaments this week, so something must be happening. If not, well, wasted opportunities, and all that.
Here is the schedule:

That's it! If you know of a tournament and the info is here, please share it in the thread! I try to hit everything, but I'm only one person and there are always a ton of stuff out there.
Note: If you have an interest in discussing the Fighting Game Community, consider joining the Fighting Game Community thread where we try to talk about what is happening in the FGC.
As always, if you see an infographic for a FGC tournament, it was likely made by acekingoffsuit. The guy makes stream schedules for every major tournament and he does it for free. You can find his twitter account here: https://twitter.com/acekingoffsuit
Also, Malice215's FGC Calendar was used to help get more information on tournaments. Malice215 (also a gaffer) spends much of his free time maintaining the FGC Calendar
