So fucking true. Its all just stupid excuses. Its probably a spoiler but honestly the reason for her outfit is dumb as a rock. But that's not the whole picture, they might have been able to pull her outfit off if the camera wasn't glued to her ass and tits in a real fourth wall breaking way that just screams "I'm an immature loser". Finally the way she's animated is just made to increase the amount of "sexy" camera moments. Nothing about the way the men designed Quiet makes any sense if you don't look at it from the point of view of someone on the same maturity level of a 12-year old.

Those were the best. I loved how you would hear what get-up your coop partners would choose too. Hearing one guy choose "Let's rock!" and going "why the hell not?" before choosing it too was great.

Honestly when it comes to Quiet I think the way she just happens to pose for the player is what's more concerning than her clothing. I've seen women IRL wearing such clothing, I dunno maybe it's just a coastal beach town thing. Anyway, you can change her outfit all you want but she's still going to be posing sexy for the player in the helicopter for no real reason.

This is the greatest thing I have ever seen.

On topic, it's funny this mod was made because my wife and I were just saying that we'd enjoy the game so much more if someone modded Quiet's default outfit to not be weak ass embarrassing childish spank bank bullshit. With this mod, my wife can continue playing the game without blatantly seeing strong female leads being reduced to eye candy on screen, and she will enjoy the game much more because of that. How you feel about what this mod does to the "story" (come on now.....) really doesn't matter, as the mod will allow her to enjoy the game more, and that's the entire point of modding games at all. This should be an option on consoles too, IMO.

While I don't have any intention of defending Quiet's clothing. Kill La Kill treats both genders this way. There is a whole organization in Kill la Kill which has both male and female members fighting more or less nude. There is fanservice for sure, I can't deny that. But Kill La Kill feels self aware of it.

You should explain to your wife that while the character is exposing herself in a physical way she's also displaying emotional insecurity that needs to be kept in check. Explain to your wife that characters go on different paths of development and the one of Quiet is one of personal strength and her visible nakedness is a mirror of her inner emotional nakedness.

I just spent 2 weeks in Japan and Quiet was the most modest character I saw there. Japan doesn't give a fuck and it was the most civilized and modest society I have ever experienced. People need to re-fucking-lax.

EDIT: On the other side, I do understand if someone does just want the option and would prefer something obviously. But stating you won't play something or demand something be changed always makes me uneasy.

There could be a slight possibility of that, I'll give you that one. Although I don't know how seductive it'd be to be in a helicopter after killing a dozen people covered in blood and she's just there doing things saying nothing while you reflect on your atrocities.

Well, she tried twice and got her ass handed to her. She was intrigued enough to want to know him better/go on missions with him.
This is exactly why Ocelot compared it with his own obsession.

I do see how Quiet's behavior could be intended to come across that way, but I feel it runs into one of my main problems about Quiet: She feels like a mess of contradictions. Does she want to kiss Venom or kill him? Can she easily communicate non-verbally or not? Is she trying to communicate with Venom or not? It's this weird problem where the character feels kinda unfocused because she's pulled in so many directions by the needs of the story, presentation, and gameplay as a companion.

Well, I agree with you.
I dislike pretty much evrything surrounding the character, but if Kojima had to have her and that storyline, it could have been done better. Its disjointed and awkward as hell.

Exactly, this mod just lets you use it earlier and without having to pay a hefty GMP tax.

Nah I don't believe Ill do that. You can justify the fan service with nonsensical attempts at eloquence that does not in any way apply to this situation or the subject of this mod if you'd like, but I think my wife has every right to be disgusted and offended at the immature thirsty camera angles and ridiculous close ups of jiggling breasts that reduce an otherwise interesting female character to nothing more than mute wank fodder. I also believe that my wife has every right to mod the game as she sees fit so that she can enjoy the gameplay without being subjected to abstract perversion justified only by a flimsy and hackneyed piece of elementary school level writing that is on par with pornography scripts. I also think that you should keep your advice on how I should speak to and attempt to manipulate my wife to yourself. My wife's an intelligent woman capable of forming her own opinions on what she deems offensive, and it's not your or even my place to tell a grown woman how to form her opinions.
