I legitimately cannot wait to CELEBRATE with everyone else here very soon. Such a fucking stressful good ride.

It's right there in the thing, and always has been!

But, yes, I expect that there will be people that don't want to actually open the physical version. So they can play the code instead.

I will be doing this.

Also, somehow I didn't catch the "Get everything above..." right there on the $60 perk.

The "get all this plus everything above" tiers always confuse me a bit, because sometimes they include the game and sometimes just the extra goodies in each above tier depending on the campaign, though it was always right there in the wording. Still, always nice to be pleasantly surprised!

Don't worry, we get this kind of thing a lot, even though it's in the text and tier images and the big grid.

Can I just say you absolutely killed it with the campaign? I know it might have be stressful and all and having read the thread, I think I understand why you launched when you did (though I still think you would have owned August). All that aside, I can't imagine a better run campaign than the one you just did. Playable prototypes on nigh every platform under the sun, constant updates (to put it in perspective, you've done 42 updates. Shenmue 3 wrapped half a year ago and has done 47. Bloodstained has 32!), engaggement with the community, and dat transparency (and not just Shantae's pants). I wish and hope every other KS and IGG (and Fig (lol)) takes note. If I ever get to the point where I can launch a crowdfund for my project, I hope to run it as well as you've done here. Absolutely fantastic job.

That being said, I recall you meantion a sort of slaker backer IGG has in place for later funding. Do you plan to get the prototype on X1 during that period?

Oh yes, the campaign was stress to WATCH, I get sympathy pains thinking about how tough it must have been for all the Lab Zero guys. >_<;;

Looks like it's all going to pay off though. :)

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: you guys ran an incredible campaign, and outside of the debatable time you launched, I think you guys did more right than I've seen with any crowd funding campaign. The playable prototype, the transparency with the process, the streams, the updates, you posting here, everyone on Twitter: it blows my mind that this needed the extra twenty days.

But you're almost there. You're almost there.

I wish I had more specifics about what we're going to do to make the backer-exclusive physical version better, but all of that stuff is really hard to plan out in advance with pricing, manufacturing, etc.

But right now I'm aiming for a nicely decorated steelbook with a plastic slipcover with some characters on it. Maybe with... a manual!?
An anime ova. You can do it.

Great to see this should get funded. And at the rate it seems to be going it will probably cross the mark in the next 12ish hours.

Should be a record for IGG?

For games, since Keep Skullgirls Growing was the previous record.
Not for the platform as a whole though.

I won't lie, I had my doubts that this was going to make it, but I'm so glad that my doubts were crushed. The light at the end of the tunnel is so close I can taste it!!

You guys picked up like 15k in the last hour, crazy. Really curious to see what the stretchgoals are, hope you've got em prepped cus at the rate we're going we'll have this by tonight.

I see somebody else is getting an disproportionate amount of joy out of watching a number go upward. XD
Indded
I looked away to reply and missed the 1k boost.
Gonna be done in a few hours max.

We need to go faster

50K and two days to go?

Come on train don't slow down now. I wish sites like Kotaku had a "back it up before it closes" article. But they've already done their part.

Rght now we're thinking it might be what we're calling an "art manual."

i.e. It's the fun stuff from old manuals like story overview, monster art, item art, descriptions, etc. but without the How To Game stuff that is a lot harder to write and layout, etc.

As someone who just threw in $60 this would make me happy.

I must've missed what this is in reference to.

Anyway, upping my contribution tomorrow

Anonymous confession posted in the appropriate thread. Basically a guy who is actively following the campaign and back when it wasn't doing so good was like happily laughing it up because he thinks the game isn't good enough to represent minorities.

A) While a lot of the guest characters are super sweet, and I totally understand everyone's (including myself's) excitement over them, I'm a bit concerned that the original cast of the game is getting a bit overshadowed. I mean there isn't much that can be done about it I suppose but it still feels a bit of a shame. I hope in the future, others indies want to come to Lab Zero for crossover characters in their games rather than vice-versa (though of course major props to the indie developers that were willing to help out with this campaign)

B) @Ravidrath: I'm sure you familiar with Yusuke Murata (Eyeshield 21, One Pucnh Man artist) right? (I know Persona is at least given his twitter feed :p). I ask because the man seems to be a master of "OMG look at all these characters!" spreads. Like some of his works:
It would be super sweet if you could commission him for a spread with the entire cast. He's a a big shot so he may be too busy or his rates might be too high - if so then forget it. However, if he's available and won't force you guys to sell organs, I think it would be super sweet.

I'm honestly just sort of numb, at this point. To both the good and bad.

I was super depressed and pretty much stopped eating for the first two weeks of the campaign, and after that I just had to pull back for sanity's sake.

It's a shame you couldn't work some of these out beforehand as I feel that would have encouraged a lot more people to back the physical tiers (I recall you saying you were surprised more people weren't biting on physical tiers). Either way, this should help with the "InDemand" phase of the campaign.

Given the choice between a manual or some kind of small artbook, which would people prefer?

Manual sounds kinda scary because it's a lot more design intensive because you have to try to communicate how to play the game, and people probably just mostly care about art?

Also could got full Japanese LE with some pencil boards or something like that.

Art book/"Art Manual" >>>>>>> Regular Manual

It's right there in the thing, and always has been!

But, yes, I expect that there will be people that don't want to actually open the physical version. So they can play the code instead.

I see this question come up all the time. For some reason people just don't get this. I guess you weren't clear enough? I dunno.

This campaign must have been really stressful for the Lab Zero team. I seriously can't wait to celebrate with them, they deserve it!

Indivisible is one of the of the best managed crowd funding campaigns I've ever seen. Excellent prototype featured even on console marketplaces, positive coverage from gaming websites and Youtubers, constant updates and announcements of unique characters and indie cameos, and somehow it's still coming down to the wire after an extension!

Happy I threw in, if you haven't contributed yet now's the time!

No Vita. The system can barely handle Skullgirls, and this game is more intensive than that.

...Also, Vita will be deader than dead by the time we're done. :\

I don't know...we're still getting PSP releases (it does help that the Vita is backwards compatible). ;)

Though, if the system can't handle it, that's a different issue and certainly a fair enough reason on its own to not do it.

I understand the concern of people that the original cast won't get to shine but I just wanna roll with a radical skateboard dinosaur and shovel knight till the day I die. Third spot is interchangeable.

Though there IS the chance that dinosaur sucks. He sucks in his game.

Personally as cool as some of the guests are, and I think I'll mess around with a couple (Shantae, Annie, and Drifter specifically), I'm much more enthusiastic about building from the game's primary Incarnations.

I'm most excited about growing the town in Ajna's mind. I'm one of those freaks that love to stare at a complete collection, and I'm sure this feature will sate my appetite.

What replays were made for.
I know Zahra is for sure in my party 100%

This might've been answered earlier, but is licensing for guest characters included in the initial budget from 505 and the $1.5 million, or are you guys taking a hit?

Maybe they could be super hard unlocks throughout the game? I personally want them ASAP, but I know that probably won't be the case haha.

Ravidrath: I'm thinking that you all should keep the voice actors for the characters that are in the prototype.

We'll see what happens, but our ideal scenario is to go with SAG voice actors so we can get actors that actually match the ethnicities of the characters.

This may be impossible with TRCs, etc., but I'd like to look into unlocking them sooner if you have a save from their game on your system.

So glad the campaign has picked up. I mean we knew it would but it's such a relief to see it creeping so close with days to spare. Seriously Lab Zero, you guys deserve a well earned celebration!
