PSX (Playstation Experience) Attendees Thread Dec 5-6 2015

Been spamming refresh on the VR registration page for the past hour. One spot opened up at 8pm and i snagged it. There was a RIGS opening at 9 but I don't want to stay that late. Did i make a mistake?

For those that had their VR appointments today, what games did you play? I hear we choose only one and I want to make sure I get a good demo.

After you play the game they assigned you to they don't expressly kick you out so you could walk over to another game while looking around and go play that as well.

Has anyone else's rewards in the app been acting up? Not a lot of my completed tasks are registering. I got the one for attending the keynote but not for going to 15 booths (must have scanned at least double that today) or attending a panel.

I wanted that $10 voucher tonight to get FFVII for cheap. :/

If it's anything like my E3 VR appointment, you don't choose, you get whatever game has an open spot. I got Headmasters there...it was awesome though.

RIGS was fucking awesome - if you get a chance to play it, make time for it in your schedule.

VR demo was disappointing as fuck. Jesus chrit. Fills up instantly, spam all day to get a spot, finally get in and they throw me in job simulator. Are you fucking kidding me? And the demo is like 3 minutes. Waste of time.

I waited in line for 2 hours to do the eve valkyrie demo and while it was much better, the resolution and image quality was not very high.

Big letdown

We are grouping up now in the first floor, you can meet us at tap room. Is that works better for you.

I'll be checking the Line app and then head over to GGTP in a bit. Needed to come home to have some dinner and I'm finishing up an OG X-files ep on Netflix.

That sucks :/ I got lucky at PAX and went at the very end on Sunday, when there was no lines around and asked to play Kitchen. But especially Job Simulator, would put more salt on the wounds >_>

So wish my friends and I weren't so tired today and could've done more stuff, but picking up tickets yesterday ended up being late with driving around for parking during a late dinner, coming home late :/ Might go to the Capcom after party tomorrow, though.

Yeah the process of getting thrown into a random session and cycled out super quick if the demo isn't that long was poorly executed, imo. I RSVP'd two back-to-back sessions and the first one was Wayward Sky which I really enjoyed particularly because it utilized the Move controllers which I felt were key to the feeling of "presence"; I went back a second time and specifically asked for a game that used Move controllers-- any of them, and they said ok... and then sent me over to Playroom VR which was fun but the exact opposite of what I was asking for :\

I've got 3 RSVP spots for PSVR tomorrow throughout the day and I plan on making clear that I'd like to experience different things each time and if they are unwilling to accommodate, I'll gladly give the spot to someone else.

All that aside, I'm 1000% on board for getting PSVR day 1. I was so. impressed. by even the minimal time I had with it.

Are you guys meeting up again tomorrow night? I'm so damn tired from walking around all day I just went straight back to the hotel. :(

Not sure if it was the same shirt, but at the Namco store right next to the DS 3 booth if you spend $25 or more they give you a DS 3 shirt. I turned mine down since they only had XXL though.

Hmm i thought there was a separate shirt they were selling too. I know the one your talking about but honestly I thought it was pretty bland (also XXL and I'm a M)

Thanks for monopolizing so many of the very limited PSVR appointments. Not selfish at all.
Sincerely,
The rest of the PSX attendees that couldn't get appointments.

Yeah, same issue here. Tried to get my code for the free games too, but kept getting an error. Lame..

I tried the kitchen vr demo, rigs, and waited 2.5 hours in line to play eve valkyrie. I didn't choose kitchen, as I'm largely immune to horror stuff, but I know my roommate would have been screaming. Eve and rigs were both incredible and I feel sold me on psvr.

Definitely very impressed.

I left the meet up at the tap room early because I'm exhausted coming from the east coast, but everyone I ran into today, it was awesome. You guys and gals are great. Made it a lot more fun to have the line chat open to actively discuss stuff.

This trip was a total blast. My airline cancelled my original flight and moved it forward 3 hours so I can't really make a return for much time tomorrow, but we'll see.

Thanks for making my gaf meetup and psx time all the more awesome.

My and my gal got to try out the PS VR. I played Eve and while a good game didn't really blow me away like I thought it would. I couldn't get it to not be slightly blurry. She tried London Heist, and she was so excited playing. She's not a gamer, but loved it. I'm glad she played that one, cause I've heard London Heist, Kitchen and Rigs are the cream of the crop. Later we bother did Playroom VR, and while not super interactive it looks incredible inside that world. The 3D just pops. I asked three times if I could play the Kitchen and wait, but no dice.

Today was amazing and meeting up with GAFfers at the show even moreso. Y'all are just as good a group in real life as I had imagined! Made the day way more fun and going to the convention solo way more enjoyable.

Shout out to Nicko and xenorevils for being awesome parts of the community and coordinating+bringing goodies for everyone.

Looking forward to day 2 tomorrow.

To all I didn't say goodbye to my apologies I've been up since 4 and putting 3 beers in me sent me into get sleep mode. Didn't help I got lost on the way back to the hotel lol.
