I love that Dominos still doesn't deliver to my area because of something that happened 15 years ago.

Despite being incredibly close. I'm too annoyed to drive there.

I finally have GOTY list finished. I'm not 100% happy with it and I'm sure there is some shit that will haunt me months down the line like Bayonetta 2 last year, but it's done. Number 1+2 were specifically really hard to order and I'm not sure I'm quite happy with either direction.

I'm going to do a full writeup of it tomorrow. I don't think I've seen a more pure distillation of my personal tastes.

Super late, but I'm catching up on the Improv Beastcast and despite the slow start of explaining things, this has become super hilarious. Vinny making Alex dress up in a Mrs Claus outfit and Vinny hiding pounds of coke in a little girl's backpack while wearing a Santa outfit had me laughing for several minutes.

I found the whole thing to be really impressive. Not any group of people can make that entertaining.

Yup, after this and the Tomb Raider segment on a beastcast a few months ago, I could definitely see the GBEast crew doing a premium podcast on the side that involves some form of improv or Role playing. They have amazing chemistry together.

Why do you guys think there's such a stigma socially about alcoholic beverages that taste good? Smirnoff Ice, ciders, wine coolers, etc. Stuff on the weaker end of the spectrum that tastes better (or at least sweeter) than your typical beer or hard liquor. They talked about it a bit on the Ryckertcast, especially as something guys do to each other. Why? "Real men" are only supposed to get drunk on stuff that tastes mostly like either piss or fire?

It's something that's always bugged me since I started drinking.

Can't really answer the heart of your question but it's pretty dumb to think that something that doesn't taste sugary sweet couldn't taste good to somebody

Cultural problems with alcohol and alcoholism where the enjoyment of the actual liquid is secondary to the process of getting fucked up.

Because those are the drinks for baby drinkers who are just starting to learn to drink

It's like asking why people don't eat gerber foods their whole lives when it tastes so good

Sweet stuff is the only kind of stuff I'll drink. I don't really like pure beer flavor unless it's something like an IPA.

US just had a company introduce alcoholic root beer and goddamn is that amazing.

It's like soda with some booze it. I'm a guy that used to love soda. I was bummed as fuck when my roommates at the time told me it wasn't something dudes drink.

I think all those things kind of taste terrible. I can't stand sweet alcoholic drinks. I like my beer either malty or crisp tasting, not sweet. can't stand cider. Drink whiskey straight, think it tastes fantastic. And yeah it still burns some, after all this time, but it doesn't taste bad.

I don't know. stuff like hard lemonade... it's neither good lemonade or good booze. don't see the point.

that stuff is actually a root beer flavored beer. it's impressive how much they nailed the taste, though it's too sweet for me

...coming from a guy who downed a 6 pack one weekend

I hate the feeling of being drunk, so I of course am confused as shit when Dan or someone talks about going out and drinking purely to get drunk. I mean, I conceptually understand, but it's not a concept I can find personally relatable.
