This is from the original PR, and they never mention visual enhancements:

“We didn’t want to follow the beaten track and just re-release our game in a new wrapping with the current DLC added on – explains Maciej Binkowski, lead game designer. “That’s why for the last half year we’ve been working on a ton of enhancements that we’re now going to make available to everyone. We’re adding bonus post-game content, a Nightmare difficulty level, nearly 100 new animations, new NPC models, advanced AI behaviors, and more. One year after the original release, Dying Light will be even bigger.”

The original game will get all this via an update too.

I'm debating on starting the game over on nightmare, I'm about half way through the game an it seems kind of easy being such a high level now.

I've tried The Following last week, in Techland's office, having a really great time with those guys.
The expansion seems amazing, and I cannot wait to play the final version.

Here's my coverage [Italian]:
http://multiplayer.it/articoli/162105-dying-light-the-following-autostop-con-il-morto.html

And some footage from the preview build.
First 15 minutes:

All Driver Skills:

And a really nice graphics feature: postprocess effects. The Old Movie filter makes you feel like you are inside Night of the Living Dead. Loving also the 1975: it gives a 'crudeness' vibe very similar to the original The Texas Chainsaw Massacre:

Why can't you pre-order the physical version of this anywhere in the UK?

Even the official site links you to the standard version of the game.

Playing through the base game now so this sounds great, glad that it's a free update for me.

Thanks.
Why didn't they add photo mode?

I adored my time with the expansion and am working on a review. Its so refreshing to see a title like this get an expansion this far out and also with this kind of gameplay change.

I never, in a million fucking years, thought I would see Techland rise to CD Projekt RED's level of post-release support, but good for fucking them. They've really proved themselves as one of the best devs in the business with Dying Light.

Polish devs are too good to us. :p

Looks awesome, usually i wait for the $20 price range when it comes these type of re-releases (especially when I bought the original for full price) but I'm tempted to get this right away.

Good for Techland

I'm looking forward to The Following and the Enhanced Edition. I just hope it won't take a year (well, entire day) to download them.

So how does this work if you own the physical vanilla version on consoles? Is the update free and the following portion cost money?

I beat the original game just recently, hopefully the new post-game content will be substantial enough for me to jump back in. New quarantine zones would be nice...

Did they ever say the price of the expansion without the season pass? I'm assuming it's going to be $19.99 since they raised the season pass to $29.99.

Sorry if I'm being dense, but if I already own the vanilla game and a buddy buys this new edition, what do I do to get our versions in sync with the same content and features?

So, update + Following + DLC I guess?

Haven't seen any product pages on the PSN store so have no idea on prices either.

Yes. Everyone who already has the base game will get the Enhancements as well. All free of charge.

Original info pic confused a lot of people (including myself xD) but Techland cleared it up. And redid the poster, too.

Just hit the current level cap for one of my trees, so I'm ready for this. :)

I don't think it would be worth it. I started on the hardest difficulty, and eventually switched over because I got tired of having to whack something 30+ times to kill it. It substantially slows how quickly you can tackle the main questline, while also making it very difficult to get survival levels because of how easy it is to die. Eventually you get weapons/skills that make everything pretty trivial anyways, it is just much more of a slog.

If you want challenge, try beating off the hunters 1v1.

Seriously excited for this. I'm probably about 2/3rds through the base game. I'm debating wrapping it up before the expansion so I can just jump right into the new area, or holding off and seeing the rest of the main game with the enhancements.

Just pre-ordered this digitally from the xbox store

Game's right up my street, but missed out on it last year so can't wait to finally play it!

Thats pretty much exactly where I'm at and what I'm thinking.

Can't wait.

I think I'm going to just mess around in the base game, wrap up some side quests until The Witness hits, then play that until the expansion hits. Then I can contrast the base areas pre/post update.

I haven't got round to starting Dying Light yet, I would of it wasn't for the enhanced update. So looking forward to finally giving this a try.

Played through this game a year ago with 3 friends and it was amazing! Another friend just bought and we're helping him get through the campaign so we'll all be ready for the expansion and I can't believe how great replaying the old missions has been! Game is so good

Beat the game near launch, not played in many months - jumping back in for the expansion will be interesting. lol

The original was epic, one of the few games I went out of my way to Platinum, my wife loved it and co-op played the entire game with me lol, really looking forward to hopping back in with the update (had the ultimate season pass edition)

Looking forward to getting back into this. I'm most excited for the Nightmare difficulty. My one complaint from the original game was that it became too easy.

make sure the pudding isn't too soggy but that just ruins everything
Did they change the basic female zombie model so that it isn't wearing that ridiculous bikini?
???
Only some of them wear that. There's a mixture of clothing on the zombies.

Again, that is very clear on the feature updates. But The Following and any DLCs still need to be purchased separately right? Or will there be a new bundle for that stuff for owners of the base game?

Not actually trying to be difficult here, but I've seen this question without a complete answer several times already.

Dying Light Community Maps coming to console

http://techraptor.net/content/dying-light-community-maps-coming-to-console

"We’ve said on many different occasions how much we enjoy playing maps created by our fans, but now the time has come to show it. There’s so much variety and ingenuity in there, even more so since we added co-op and PvP support. One more thing: we will be making select maps available on consoles, and we will play some of them this Saturday!"
