I dont mind upgrading to $99, but $225 for a digital Vita port?!? Ouch
Gotta agree, $99 still seems somewhat reasonable for a digital vita copy if you're the kind of person who wants to support English VNs. $225 is way too much and I don't see these tiers pushing the KS over the finish line. I think Root Double still has a chance to get fully funded with lower priced vita tiers, but time is running out fast. What a weird Kickstarter...
And wheres my info for Grisaia Vita.
https://www.kickstarter.com/project...-three-huge-visual-novels-for-p/posts/1472298We are currently getting a submission build for Sony to evaluate before we can get the final approval to release The Fruit of Grisaia on PSVita. We're also now officially licensed developers for PlayStation so it won't be as long as a process to get our games approved by Sony.
There are probably some diehards who will pay the $225, but they won't be enough.
Darn Sony for not having bigger Vita carts.
Finally, a new update.
They better not ask 225 for this too. And be digital only
They're not asking $225 for the Vita version of Root Double per se, that's just the minimum tier level. It's more likely to cost $30-$40 when it releases.
As for Grisaia being digital-only? Uhh... I don't want to think about it right now.
That is true. But it doesnt help that if I want to get it funded, I have pledge 225.
Reading the new update, it seems only Fruits of Grisaia theyre trying to get approved and not the entire trilogy. :/
Haven't followed this campaign too closely, but what happened? I thought Sekai Project games normally blasted past their funding amounts.

Yeah, it's getting a bit muchGeneral fatigue with Sekai Project's overuse of KS, .
Seriously , why not a $40 digital Vita tier or something, this is ridiculousThis looks like a game I would want on Vita, but not for $200. lol
I also have no need for the other stuff.
I understand that the Vita port requires more funds, but I don't see how anyone thought this was a good idea. If the project gets funded, they have to make the Vita version anyway, because people pledged for it. So why not offer the Vita version alone and cheaper as well? It's not like a Vita copy itself is more expensive.
Yeah, it's getting a bit much

100$ tier is still the best for me, you get the game and the ost physical and digital and the steel mug, that's not a bad deal(although there have been better ones),but the other tiers are just too much and that's a problem that they haven't solved today imo.
I'm pretty sure that's illegal, doesn't seem to be offering an alternative free method of entry.
How would it be illegal? I don't think even Kickstarter's rules prohibit offsite raffles.
Raffle laws vary from state to state, but they usually need two things.
1. Need to be approved by the state.
2. Need to be for a non-profit entity.
I doubt Sekai is a non-profit.
Huh, I wasn't aware of this.
That is desperate.Just got an e-mail from Sekai's project newsletter.
How do I subscribe to the newsletter? I receive kickstarter updates to the mail but didn't receive that email.
Thanks, however I have filled my email and don't get the confirmation email is anything wrong?
Hey all,
While ducking and avoiding your rocks, let me just first of say that I respect everyone's opinion on price and all that. I worked day and night for months to even get to this point, and we're not completely insane. At least I hope not.
I'm not here to convince anyone, but let me clarify something, regardless of what you think of it. We faced an obstacle here where people wanted Vita, and we wanted to do Vita. Our Vita development has gotten solid and progressing nicely with our devkits getting hot lately, so we were always eager. I began working on getting this done before the campaign even.
The issue is development and licensing. The whole dev team in Japan has to come back to refit the engine to work with the increased script size, voices need to be worked out, basically a bit ol licensing hootnanny. They were not easily convinced to go back to working on this engine just cause.
Regardless of what people think of the tiers and that stuff, that's something we have to meet in the middle on with the developers and such, and we try our best and there's tons of great content there. But with Vita, we are left with few options. RD is not some sort of huge anime franchise which soars past stretch goal after stretch goal. So either we have to guarantee the port at a loss to us, or not do it at all and be even more meany heads for not caring about Vita. So the only option is to include it with other rewards (the price of the Vita port is not 225 by itself) and let those rewards directly fund the development, or nothing. So the Vita tiers go straight to funding the development to make this port possible in the first place, not to jack up the price for Vita just cause.
Again, I am not asking people to like me by saying that, but its not just some sort of idiotic move made by me to screw myself over. I got everyone to agree to a term where we could offer Vita for sure without having to climb stretch goals, but rather that those who helps out the campaign and wants Vita gets it no matter what regardless.
Hope we are all still cool no matter how it all works out.
Thanks, however I have filled my email and don't get the confirmation email is anything wrong?
First of all thank for your effort, adding vita to the campaign has already had a positive effect on the campaign.
What I believe that would be fair is that vita port could be added as an add-on too, I believe that it's fair to give it for "free" for people who pledge more than 225 though, but giving the others the opportunity for paying for it might be fine.
Also I had expectations for a nice 150$ collector box since you said you were looking into it, however the only addition other than vita is the name in the credits which doesn't appeal me.
Sorry for the harsh :/
I can't get the confirmation mail for the newsletter
No need to thank me, I want it myself so I do what I can to make it happen.
About the collector's box. Basically the feeling between Japan and such here is that the messenger bag holds all these items and is of premium quality, so that's the collector's box. Bit out of the ordinary but I like the idea personally. But we work together on these tiers, its not a single person decision so please understand that I read your comments, but its not up to a single person to decide these.
