Quantum Break rated for PC in Brazil

How pathetic. Those people must have empty lives to care to such a ludicrous extent about video games exclusivity.

And if they love Microsoft as much as they claim they should be happy that more money is coming in their pocket. PC gamers are big spenders.

LMAO! I can't believe someone created a feedback page for that.

Just find out the mad already happened(check the comments), and it's targeting gaf users lol.

Though to be precise, I've heard from "a" Forza coming to PC this year. Forza 6 is just my guess.
Considering they had that PC DX12 build of FM5 early last year, this wouldn't surprise me at all. I think it'd be a great step for the franchise.

I haven't "read" this. I know it from a source relatively close to the matter. I trust that source and that's all I'm gonna say.

*whispers* industry sources *whispers*

I miss 1UP Yours.

Hum, I don't know how to respond to that.
I could not possibly imagine Quantum Break on PC, yet it might be a reality somewhere down the line so I don't know anymore.

But I'll err on the side of pessimism regarding Forza.

Quantum Break on PC?

Cool.
Otherwise it would probably fail commercially like TR did.

And Sam goes

Microsoft are going to throw a lot of weight behind this title, I believe.

Yeah, I'm sorry. I sound like a douche don't I?

To this day the only game I've played on my XBO is Sunset Overdrive, as a PC owner (and non Halo/Forza fan) it's becoming a pointless console to own.
It may as well fund my quieter PS4 purchase...

Cool, now announce a PC port of Scalebound for PC and the only reason for me to be interested in buying a XOne will disappear.

I really appreciate these kind of moves from MS, but I wonder if they are really aware of how this devaluates the XOne...

It's a small devalue for X1 and a big value added to the W10 environment. Most console gamers play on consoles because they WANT the console environment. MS making a PC version doesn't change anything for them. They won't jump on PC just because the game looks a little better, that's stuff for nerds.

I hope it has a faster turnaround than Alan Wake on PC. It's a shame that if Alan Wake had those additional PC sales earlier on a sequel may have been greenlit - would prefer that not to happen again.

Day and date release would be perfect.

A note : many games are actually listed on PC such as Gears 3 but never made it.

So that reinforces my suspicion.

These kind of threads are always amusing: so many people feeling the need of telling everyone how much they don't need an Xbox instead of just being happy that a possibly great game could come to pc.

Edit: omg those comments xD

If you are doubting between buying a XOne or a PS4 and you can get the XOne exclusives you are interested in PC, then you´ll buy a PS4. Or you´ll end up buying noone of them if you decide PC+XOne exclusives is enough for you. I mean, it´s a situation that can only harm XOne and do it no good.

It's important to make sure everyone knows you've only bought/only buying an XB1 because you've got no option.

People might think you enjoy owning it, otherwise.

MS may feel that getting people to use their W10 environment is more valuable than selling a few xboxes. Not that i think this will impact sales (much)

I don't understand this mentality at all, especially with the windows store preinstalled on every single windows 10 device. It's no different from having to use the app store on an iPhone or Google play store on Android if you want to play clash of clans or download an app.
You just identified the primary issue with it actually. I for one don't want PC to turn into a phone-style controlled distribution platform.

I'm not sure about the reach of Gears within PC gaming, but I believe AAA IPs seldom go unnoticed on PC so yes they can be big, very big among PC circles. I agree with you that they are not what we could call "massively" popular, but enough to move the needle in their favor.

I much prefer the Steam ecosystem myself, not to mention I trust Valve to maintain its service but I welcome Microsoft putting more emphasis on Windows gaming, or should I call it Xbox on Windows now.
Great looking games with DX12 support ? Count me in.

I don't care one bit about the health of the Xbox console, that is not my problem.

You wanna see how pathetic they can get? Just say on the internet that Bloodborne should be on PC and watch people lose their shit. It's amazing and hilarious. I should go tweet that right now.

The Xbox as a piece of hardware isn't going to be as important in the future. Are you buying those games on your Windows 10 PC from the Xbox/Windows store (or whatever they call it)? Good, you're the customer Microsoft wants. They will want you as much as they want consumers buying stuff from the XBO.

It's not going to happen overnight, but with (potential) announcements like this and Recore every so often, it's eventually going to be the future of the Xbox brand. Xbox hardware is not valuable to Microsoft anymore.

But you have to realize that not every gamer wants to game on a PC or has a PC that's capable of playing these games.

Like you can buy madden, Fifa and COd and play it on PC yet tons of people don't. QB being on PC isn't gonna hurt Xbox sales much at all. It'll inly bemused in forum list wars

Killer Instinct on PC, Quantum Break on PC, ReCore on PC, etc etc

I'm happy to have the chance of trying these games on my computer but at the same time this is the end of my idea of buying XONE. I'd love to play Scalebound but I don't buy sistems only for one game, no way.

XB1 is probably for those who do not want to invest in a mid-range PC to run the above games but prefer to spend it on a console instead.

Yeah, I'm sure all those PC gamers pirating the game will help it be commercially successful.

You might not know, but there also are PC gamers who actually buy games, and apparently enough of them for AAA multiplats to come to PC.

I agree with your general point... after all, I'm primarily an Xbox user, but would opt for the Windows 10 version of pretty much everything they release (Fable Legends, Killer Instinct, etc). If it got to the point that I could play everything that would otherwise be exclusive to XB1 on PC, then I'd likely just transition away from using the Xbox in general, which basically means that they'd simply lose my annual Live fees, whilst not actually seeing any additional sales from me.

However... I don't agree that it can only harm the Xbox One either. As the PS4 continues to extend its lead, it becomes easier for third-parties to see that platform as sufficient enough to skip releasing certain software on Xbox, or at least strike favorable deals with Sony for them. If MS is able to make the Win10 store an attractive option as a result of gamers that don't own an Xbox being drawn to it in order to access Xbox games, then because it would likely be considered the same general ecosystem and userbase, it could lead to software being released to it (and subsequently XB1) that would otherwise have not been released. This would however be practically impossible without MS first making the effort to get eyes on their store by releasing compelling software of their own. They've just got to be careful to cut the legs out from under the XB1 without managing to securing a recurring base of visitors to the Windows Store. If everyone simply downloads a copy of Gears, and then returns to Steam then the tradeoff wouldn't be at all worth it... which is why I think the early focus on F2P content that encourage repeated store engagement makes sense.

Xbox hardware is not valuable to Microsoft anymore.

Xbox hardware (outside of accessories) has never been valuable to MS... but the Live subscriptions (and licensing fees) are, and currently only users of Xbox hardware have been willing to provide that.

I hope they have the same exclusivity time as Rise of the Tomb Raider, so I can play QB in Summer. Also I hope they don't make it Win10 exclusive, because no way I'm upgrading right now :\
