Is uplay's "preload" like Steam? In the sense that it requires twice the amount of hard drive space then what it tells you?

So instead of needing 28gb it will actually require 56gb to unpack the preload, etc?

So I'm on the DZ and I get shot a few times by a human, he turns red and I put him down... Now I've gone rogue? Is there some kind of buffer period where they have to do some much damage?

He can attack you and do damage to you without being turned into rogue. Game clearly has threshold in place, ~15-20% of targets total HP by rough estimate, that has to passed so one gets flagged as rogue.

So in this case he attacked you by few weak shots, game highlighted him to you, but because he didn't pass HP threshold check so game didn't turn him into rogue. You returned fire, dealt so much damage to him that you went pass HP threshold and got flagged as rogue. He is now allowed to kill you or if he died others will hunt you down.

Baiting seems to be somewhat viable tactic. Because if you bait your intended victim into attacking and turning himself into rogue you can now put him down without penalty, while getting increased rewards on top of his items.

Probably a bug or his rogue timer expired before he died. Normally attacking a rogue agent won't flag you as rogue.

I think when you get hit by a non rogue agent there's a damage limit until they're rogue. It happened to me again. Their health went red, the direction from me on the radar showed red as an enemy, but when I aimed at them it said non-rogue agent... That should be changed.

Yea that's definitely it and would've been nice to know. In the heat of battle and surrounded all indications were he was rogue. Everything was red, etc. They need to make it more clear. They're basically giving a 20% head start to being killed and penalizing you for reacting too quickly.

True but I'd imagine there would be a lot more complaints about getting penalized for someone walking into your shot for a second if it wasn't in place.

What do you do with excess gear you no longer want? Do you break it down I to some currency? Or sell it to vendor for currency then buy better gear? Or does this become a game of ignore the green then blue then purple gear cuz you only stop for legendary gear?

Normally you break it down for crafting but it's not available during the beta.

It should turn the player orange or pink or something to indicate that they may be hostile but have not yet gone rogue.

They also really need to up the AI enemy count in the Dark Zones. My experience so far has been running around up and down empty streets passing by other players who may or may not decide to kill me.

They kinda try to have their cake and eat it too with this current threshold system. People planning on going rogue has so much advantages currently [place, timing, angle of attack, baiting, HP threshold benefit...] against their planned target. Target only gets penalized if he does anything else then runs away when baited or if he reacts to incoming fire too fast and fires back.

And why? Just so accidental friendly fire doesn't hurt anyones feelings.

If they input zone that is forced PvEvP with added bonus of losing unextracted loot upon death I don't think there is place for HP threshold systems that gives advantage to aggressor, on top of other natural advantages they already have.

Tovarisc I like the way you think. :)

Any game that lets you pair the M14 with the ACR in one beautifully synergized lead spewing package is already a winner to me.

Just one piece of advice, in the menu you can hide your HUD. TRY IT. The screen can feel very cluttered with everything on by default.

Totally agree. Turned off the HUD notifiers for cover, vault as well as auto hid the HUD next to my player. The screen feels a lot more open and less cluttered. Honestly, the cover to cover is completely doable without the prompts. I also tested how far you can run from one cover to the next and it seems to work at a pretty far distance.

Hope UBI plans on opening up a little more content in beta before all is said and done. Hopefully they have a "Moon" surprise

So it seems like the season pass gives early access to things just like in Siege + few game modes while everything else will be free to everyone.

That is great. I really like that model, as it dosent split the user base.

Played for about 8 hours tonight. Really fun. Fit my taste way more than Destiny. I love how modable the weapons are. I also like that some perks on gear has an attribute bar to meet so you need to balance the DPS,HP and Tech stats. Darkzone was more fun than I tough, me and my two friends were taking down rogue agent while also scouting and killing PvE enemies for loot. We never started a fight but we always finished it. Killed maybe 25-30 people, died once.

The only main mission available was fun even on multiple run, hard mode is indeed hard. And quite rewarding loot wise. So far the game seems to respect my time. All in all a really strong first impression, now if they can manage to let us do a bit more stuff in the Dark Zone (lot of aimless wandering around at the moment) a decent story and some PvE endgame whether it's dungeons, raids etc.Just tell us a bit about endgame, please. I can see myself playing this for a long while.

In my playtime I reached the level cap, I mostly have blue level 8 quality gear.

I'm just about 90 or so minutes in but this has real promise. Lots of fun. Day 1, unless the rest of the beta changes my mind (highly doubtful).

I enjoyed playing way more than what I thought I would. Fun game. Lost track of time playing around in the dz. If there is a decent end game and a steady stream of content I can play this for a long time.

Seems like it will take some time to build your perfect character since there are three main stats plus additional talents for gear.

Surface of Me

I'm not an NPC. And neither are we.
Just had my first DZ experience, sold me on the game.

I killed a few innocents, took on enemies too high of level only to get bailed out by some randoms, got into full on wars with other players, and finally snuck away to safety, by taking alternate routes.

Are there people actually helping others in the Dark Zone?

Most players I've encountered were non aggressive. Not really helping, but not trying to murder you as well. I've tossed a few heals here and there while running around with my team if I saw someone was hurt.

I did as well. I also use the surrender action so they know I'm friendly. My only wish is that you could fast travel to the dark zone and back to your base. Anything you extract from the dark zone goes back to your base and that's not the quickest walk. Maybe I'm missing something?

It's awesome to see most people here are enjoying it. I loved the alpha and can't wait to get back into the beta tomorrow morning.

There are safe zones within' the dark zone where you can access your stash if I'm not mistaken.

4.5 hours left till it unlocks for me here in NYC (EST)...might pull an all-nighter playing Rise of the Tomb Raider and jump right into The Division

FYI you do need PS+ and Gold to go in the Dark Zone.

Also this game scratches the itch that Destiny couldnt, this past week I was really considering dropping my preorder. Absolutely not now this game is rad.

The Dark Zone is TENSE.

I hope there is an app we can use to eventually manage gear. Assuming they scrapped the tablet integration they showed off in the teaser trailers?

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.

That isn't how it works. There is 5.5 hours left until it unlocks.

Don't you need online to even play this game?
