Uncharted 4 Story Trailer

I quite literally said in the post you quoted that its not confirmed. My problem is with the people saying no biggie its just a piece of art.

Nobody is saying that. It was a mistake. It will be corrected and the artist will be compensated. If any of that doesn't come true then a meltdown is warranted but until then its going to be okay bro.

Design team: 'lets put that AssCreed artpiece on our mood / settings & locations board; it really fits where we are going'

Art/assets/enviroment guy or girl:
'guys I put that piece we added on the moodboard on Nate's fireplace picture; it looks pretty cool and totally nails that tone we're looking for.

Don't forget to change it out the asset when the new image is done, I named the current one 'PLACEHOLDER_FROM_UBI_ASSCREED.png', you guys check that, right? before creating new marketing material, right? Since my work is done for now I'll be away for a few weeks, time for some R&R.'

- trailer gets released -

'Oh shit'.

No one's gonna talk about that scummy/friendly looking Rafe ? Y'know the new main vilain ?

That guy at the right :

(btw, yey, first post.)

Oh Rafe looks amazing, like 50 shades of douchebag, with a hint of elegance and bro tendencies. It's so amazing. I'd totally go drinking with him and love/hate every moment.

Whenever a game uses "middleware," I expect mediocrity. Just see how poor TLOU looks.
screaming @ the fumes

People already trying to tear down this game. Y'all know Uncharted 4 is gonna by GOTY 2016

Anyone considered the possibility of a crossover between both games and sth that happened in that same area within the same timeline? Anything is possible and if this is true this would the biggest secret the game has.
And then Druckman pulls off his mask and reveals that he was Kojima all along.

The reactions and conclusion jumping here are hilarious. People are imaging this scenario:

Artist: Neil, what about the painting that Drake needs to stare into?

Nl: Steal It from somewhere,

Artist: But we have a whole team of environment artists who are not working on anything critical right now as we're just in pre-production of Last of us 2. They could whip something up in an hour....

Neil: We just can't afford to create any custom art for this game. Steal it from somewhere.

Artist: We actually have a TON of environment art we've created over our past 20 years of game development. We could just drop any of them in...

Neil: STEAL. IT.

Lmao. I was waiting for something like this.

I think he looks pretty cool. The villains this time around are supposed to have a lot of work put into them as in the past they've been sort of a weak link. Still not sure how they'll handle any potential boss fights. What they did with TLoU worked well, so they can pull them off.

GUYS, WHAT IF UNCHARTED 4 IS ACTUALLY THIS YEAR'S ASSASSINS CREED? I mean, Ubisoft said THEY wouldnt make an AC this year, they didnt say anything about ND making it!

If I recall the credits for Uncharted 3 I remember thinking "Wow, that are a lot of external studios involved into creating textures and assets for this game, that is quite a lot of outsourcing". Wouldnt surprise me if the snafu happened there.

If they did this intentionally it is terrible.

It really is not terrible.

As a part that probably consists of seconds in an overall composition of hours of imagery, it could well be argued that it is trans-formative enough to be included. It is not an essential part of the the single scene composition, let alone the whole games' composition. It has been changed in overall composition, lighting, placement, and is part of different scene of art entirely.

They will probably change it, because the community is too immature (as seen by the childish tweet). Beside, it is just a generic natural piece of beach scenery that can be easily replace without anyone noticing.

Great trailer.

Game looks fantastic.

I'm really liking the designs of the supporting characters and what looks to be the main antagonist. He sounds very familiar, but I can't put my finger on it.

I've had this game pre-ordered from Amazon for a while (that 20% pre-order discount for Prime members was hard to resist...), so I'm ready to go in April. Visually, the game is just stunning. I thought it looked amazing when I saw the live demonstration at Sony's booth last E3, but holy fuck, it has undergone some glorious polish. Story looks very mature and interesting. I doubt it's going to be as dark as the trailers imply, it's Uncharted after all, but I do think it's going to have some edge to it.

So all of this is in-game, real-time rendering?

Some of it was cut-scenes, some of it was gameplay (if you couldn't tell that's a good sign!), obviously you can push the visuals further during cut scenes (closed and controlled envirornment) but it was all real time rendering (but not all in-game, if by in-game you mean "pure gameplay")

Here we have one of the best trailers for a game ever, and instead people prefer to create drama over an artwork on a wall in the game. Ok, I guess.

Aside from the AC fiasco... that was a great trailer that really sets the bar for visuals in an action adventure title. Looking forward to what the future holds after this releases.

I think the most likely situation is that it is a placeholder because the real frame holds a spoiler image. Now I wonder is this really a horrible thing for it to be used in promotional material through a Sony/PS4 title if Sony/PS4 already had the license to use any art from video games that were promoting through them (IF AC4 had promotional material with Sony/PS4)?

Or/and this is all publicity.

All this hoopla over what is likely an honest mistake. ND should contact Ubi or whoever and sort this out. Sometimes this place is like 4chan but people are actually serious.

Pretty sweet trailer tho. Curious to see how open it actually is.

Wish we had a separate thread for that =/

I've watched the HQ video a few times with my eyes to the monitor, and although we don't seem to be getting rid of some shadow dithering, the E3 banding I loathed so much seems to be completely gone.

Omfg.

I'm actually scared now.... QQ

dis game gonna be amazing doe, anyone see those gfx? :D

This is just a standard piece of artwork, I really don't know why any artist would copy it. Have a little self respect, you're doing creative stuff, do it on your own.

But I don't really have an issue with this.

This pic fiasco is only good as an advertising for the game. Anything that makes a buzz whether good or bad only increases the fame of sth. Now even those wjho never heard about the game will hear about it even in non video game related sites and news and I don't think those who just discover the game will boycot it because of that but will mostly get it instead.

I'm just really hoping they didn't go sub 30 fps to push visuals, that's pretty much what they did on PS3.

And what was wrong with the performance of the PS3 games? yea it wasn't locked but it was worth it for such visuals, and it will be worth it again going by that visuals.

I'm gonna put my nitpicking cap on and say the dithering on shadows and the artifacting around motion blur in certain cases still looks ugly. They are ugly blemishes on an otherwise outstanding looking game.

Mother of god. I won't watch the trailer but I'm already impressed with the graphics. The shot with Nadine and the other guy looks 100% CGI.
