Just got my first win online... And two more right after for that 3 win streak. I've found my character, it's Karin shes just so fun to play and the mixups are a ton of fun. Bison just wasn't working out, he's too different from SF4

Does anybody here like to play while drinking?

I've been doing it lately and I feel like I've been having some pretty good success playing ranked. I'm a scrub though so I'm sure that factors in a lot considering I'm not playing high level people. Just curious if anybody can't keep up with a fast game like this while under the influence.

The rage quitter solution will probably come sooner than later, considering it's an easy solution and IIRC Capcom has implemented those things in the past (not to mention nearly every other developer of a major multiplayer game).

They better do more than that. All the ragequit vids come out and I never see a single quitter I've fought. There are likely thousands of people doing this right now and not just once in a blue moon either.

Capcom, did sooooooooo many things wrong with the release. But the uniting the PC with consoles may have been the best decison that got approval. This thread, went from bronze to silver, to gold in quality.

I've enjoyed Hawke's posts more than I have SFV over the last few days. Now we just need Karin mods and Bison/Nash swapped with Mika's super. We all know the tension is there between Nash and Bison lol.

You can record all your matches and if you're particularly salty at an opponent, you can splice the point of the match when you got a combo in, and paste the disconnect message. You can even force that message popup by ragequitting yourself.

I wouldn't be surprised if trolls or ragequitters are doing this themselves. Really shoddy solution.

Might be a stupid question, but how do you level up your fighter ID level? Mine is on par with my favorite character level (12 or so) but there are tons of people with lower character levels, no league points, but their fighter ID is at something like level 140. Am I missing something?

Survival mode levels you up, as does story mode

The single-player stuff barfs out levels like crazy. Taking an hour or whatever to run through the prologues boosts you to 130- or 140-something alone.

One of my favorite things to do during a match is to dash at someone, jump towards them, landing without pressing anything, and then immediately do a super. The delay gets 'em every time lol.

Nah. We've established they're not going to do shit. Some dude has to spend his time checking gamertags in the database to see if they ever had a recorded match. If not, and there's video evidence, its a ragequit. But I don't see that being feasible.

Right now any video evidence is just for internet name calling. I doubt it'll amount to anything other than shaming people on forums.

The only way they'll do it is if they find a person showing up too much. Unless you do it a lot, they probably aren't going to ding you.

Or unless you get a lot of attention somewhere.

How do I get him help? He won't listen :( I told him Nash isn't a good starting character.

Finally relived i got some matches goin this weekend after swapping over my modem, from only having a full total of 8 ranked matches in 2 weeks 😑, to a about 70 or so ranked matches right after another

Played 4 hours straight went from 150lp rookie all the way to silver 2100lp , went on three 15+ win streaks which was awesome.

Shut it off then went to bed happy 😄

So much salty rage quoting to all high level and even really good players with my 4 hour play, going to share with gaf soon

Yeah after watching Winter Brawl top 8 and the Caines Winter Clash Top 8 all I gotta say is fuck the haters thinking that this game is gonna fail.

Not happening.. Game is sooo good and it's bring back a lot of players. Can't wait on how the dlc characters shape up the meta..

Game is crazy addictive and it's more addictive than Marvel 3 was during it's entire run IMO. I don't know, just feels "better" from a gameplay and attachment perspective. Compared to 4? It feels more "chaotic" and hype if that makes any sense.

Man it's gonna stay around for a good while.

Props to LI Joe for his win.

If they do it to you on their wake up you can time it so you can jump over the fireballs and do a full punish. Except maybe with gief? Just mess around with it, its awkward at first but its not hard.

he is playing with an adaptator ( Xbox One pad on PS4 ) I don't know if it change something but it's unplayable, I have 82.2Mb/s down and lagging like crazy... I'll upload a match on Youtube later, terrible experience and he don't want to buy the game now lol. ( He rent it )

Julio had to play a lot more defensive. You can only use Ken’s run on block if you condition your opponent and use it seldom I think. Every player after getting hit hard by ken is pressing Jabs scared of his run. I think I’m going to only cancel after I hit confirm, and very very seldom cancel into run on blocked normals. even then, I’m not going to do it if my opponent has a super. It’s just too unsafe. But, either way Julio taught me a lot.

Taste x-up on wake-up is legit
OS run off of normals that hit is important
MP DP auto corrects and is great for using as a late AA
Ken’s main objective is to get people in the corner

Yeah I tried this for a good ten minutes and couldn't work out the timing, unless Necalli's hurtbox is a little too big. I found that j.MP juggle into DP can punish if I get it out before the second acid bubble, so that's something at least.
