SFV: Premium Costumes

Well its gonna last 7 years or so, time to get started.
This is lame, if I buy a premium costume I should get all the colors with it.

No one else has aged except Bison. Ryu grew a beard, Birdie grew fat and Vega got really bad plastic surgery and now looks like a Chuckie doll. SF V Ken is just a really shitty character model. Doesn't look older, just like a much uglier, entirely different person.
That fan picture would be 1,000,000 times better.
Actually, this might explain why they're unlockable only for the base outfits, it'd make sense to let the premium costumes come w/ all colors unlocked.
It'll already be unlocked for you if you have the season pass

I don't know about premium costumes since they're not in the store. I suppose they could come already unlocked. People who own the preorder costumes would know.
Interesting, Dudley also had a costume inspired by Mercury in SF IV as well. Pretty sweet.

Yep, paying 4 bucks for that Karin alt. I need that. I got Cocktail Dress Karin today, that'll have to do until Zenny store opens.

I made the slightest edit to Ken's head (in MS Paint, not 3D modeled). I think it already looks a ton better but maybe I'm being super picky about this. Opinions?

Sorry, I don't buy that for this game. You cant just come off your last title and jack up the costume cost over 400%. That's not reasonable even if characters are earnable.
I bought the season pass, so I paid for the characters already. I'm not getting any freebies.

LoL is a free to play game though. If SFV was free this would be acceptable. As is I doubt I'll bother with any of these skins, even the ones I like.

The way they did the color unlocks is a truly magnificent shitting from great heights. Literally nobody is happy or having fun with that. The strangest part of it is that the tournament scene they so publicly embrace with this game is understandably devoid of PS4s with the unlocked colors. We're in a weird phase with fighting games... the PS4 was not designed to properly accomodate tournaments and Capcom themselves add to the problem with their own weird decisions. And then there's Ken's face.

You don't see the unlocks because those consoles are usually lent to them by Sony, a sponsor or its some random person's console. I actually like that the colors are so "hard" to get just makes them more special when I play with my Light Pink Karin

Ken's only problem is that he doesn't look one bit like Ken Masters. The costume itself is fine.
Most of the costumes are okay to great. Gief is best.

i honestly couldnt care less about colors
but i DO think it would be a lot cooler if the colors were hard to get, in more fun ways
tie it to character level or ranked matches or something
survival mode is just tedious and shitty

We already are going to be able to get characters, other costumes and colors by playing, but I'd love to get these costumes too.
But well, it's the price of not having to pay $60/$40 for a revision with gameplay tweaks, rebalances, new characters and a few modes, because we'll get this for free and without splitting the userbase.
I'd have started with more singleplayer content like the March update + arcade mode, but other than that it's a great model for me.
Can't wait to see more content like new stages, and let's hope they make a second season pass for premium content (stages + costumes).

No, it would work for SFV Ken, considering this is before SF3. Compared to SF3 NG Ken his face looks about 3-5 yrs younger.

The official Ken art is closer to this than it is the in-game model. For whatever reason the devs can nail the models of Ryu and Chun-Li but, once again, can't make Ken look correct.
I actually thought Ken looked okay until you blew it up. Now I can't decide if I want to laugh or cry.

Then again Dead or Alive costumes cost 1.99 (characters cost the same as a SFV costume) there are bundles AND they have a really cool Free to Play version of the game (the Core Fighters edition).

I actually greatly prefer Ken's alt over his default costume. I think the short hair and street clothes go better with his... "interesting" face. His default doesn't mix well in my opinion.
