I'm playing it right now, the physical engine is nuts (the explosions have a real blast of air, combine that to time powers and enjoy yourself), I really like the gunfights, truly cool.

I'm looking forward to unlock all time powers and upgrading them.

The TV show in the other hand... meh (first episode as of now).

Great OT though!

If we indeed get codes that are not attached to our accounts I will be giving away the PC version when I get the code. Thinking about something along the lines of recording yourself doing the best Max Payne face impression you can.

Ended up buying the digital version because I have a weak will and this just looks so awesome (and I had some money still on my xbox account from god knows when). The Easy Allies review pushed me over the brink, on top of Remedy being Remedy. I just hope the episode streaming holds up.
Stupid hype to play though, it just looks so cool.

My controller and my body is ready!

Playing this with the elite controller made me assign LB and RB to paddles. Makes the combat flow better. Especially the time focus with LT after dashing with LB.

Debating whether or not to preorder to get the Win 10 version for free. I heard it was short. Is there anything to do after you finish aside from play again?

If it's anything like Alan Wake then maybe it'd be fine if it was just the story. AW was so fun I played it like 3 times through.

Probably not. No DLC has been mentioned either. I hope we get something afterwards. But I'm definitely going to play the game through a couple times to see the different parts of the show.

No reviews of the PC version is also curious

It's not too unusual for only one version of a game to be sent out as a review copy, and it would make sense for it to be a consistent version over all reviews.

But yeah, I was hoping for some more PC impressions by now.

You could play Alan Wake.
I could. It's been a while, and I never played the DLC...

Dammit, Doffen, now I want to play both QB and AW.

Edit: OH SHIT, I didn't realize you said that because it comes with AW and the DLC for download. Hmmm, even more tempting.

Hmmm, I forgot that the show had branching paths. That may be enough to get me to buy full price.

What I'm hearing is that Quantum Break is running sub-30fps on LOW settings with a GTX 980. Somehow I'm not surprised :(

Well...
Testing conducted by AMD Performance Labs as of April 4, 2016 on the AMD Radeon™ Fury X, on a test system comprising Intel i7 5960X CPU, 16GB memory AMD driver 16.4.1 and AMD driver 16.3.2 and Windows 10 x64 using the game Quantum Break™. PC Manufacturers may vary configurations, yielding different results. At 3840x2160, Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.3.2 scored 16.693 and Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.4.1 scored 22.663 on AMD Radeon™ R9 Fury X, which is 35.76% faster performance. RS-11
So unless he's talking 4K I don't think that this is likely.

The amount of stuff you get makes it worthwhile to me, 3 games for 1 (and an extra version of one). That's why I went ahead and preordered it, great deal.

Some early impressions..

Couple of hours into it, the combat is fun... it's very easy, though. Even on Hard. As long as you are constantly moving and cycling your powers, it seems very difficult to actually die. I feel like the enemy could be more aggressive to be honest, some of the fights feel a bit underwhelming due to it. Hopefully it's just because I'm still fairly early on in the game. The collectibles all seem pretty easy to find, thankfully, and a few of them are well worth doing so. Some of the Chronon things require a bit of extra exploration/platforming but nothing that will baffle anybody. So if you're like me and try to find everything on your first go, the pacing of the game isn't going to be completely destroyed!

The weird frame blending technique they're using is very inconsistent. You can go large stretches of play without noticing it then it'll become very apparent and it's ugly as hell. The game overall looks pretty great, though. I've not felt any big dips in framerate either which is refreshing as the other game I'm playing on my Xbox atm (DS3) is a fucking nightmare in that regard.

The first TV segment was interesting enough, though by the end I was itching to get back to shooting and charging into people with my shotgun so it probably could have been 5 minutes or so shorter. It also had horrible compression issues in darker scenes (streamed version, ain't downloading 75GB...)

It's certainly got that Remedy feel, though! Looking forward to playing more tomorrow, got a horrible headache now else I'd probably play for hours more, was enjoying it that much.

Let's get started!!!

Can't wait for tomorrow, and so far early GAF impressions have been really good. Hopefully it sells good as well, Remedy is a great developer and deserves the success. Also it would mean Alan Wake 2, sequel to the best SP game ever Alan Wake (though let's sehow Quantum Break is and if it can take that crown for me)!
