I want to say my home state of Virginia but it absolutely cannot be encompassed with a single image. From the Chesapeake Bay itself, to the wonderful marshlands and beaches connected to it, to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah Valley, or rich forests throughout.... the auburn trees in Autumn or fiery landscapes of Spring.... the rivers and ponds.... a single image does none of it justice.

Anywhere in the Pacific Northwest. I would just say Washington because it's where I live. But it's amazing in general out here.

California has a wide variety of beautiful things. We have beaches, redwoods, desert, Yosemite, etc. All within a few hours.

Here's a picture of Big Sur, along Pacific Coast Highway (one of the best drives you can take):

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
Lets be honest, most every state in the US is beautiful. It just depends on whether you prefer forests over deserts, lakes over rivers, yada yada. That's one thing I love about people who visit the US for the first time and realize its more than its famous cities and attractions and has some gorgeous places to visit all over. Even NJ which people shit on a lot has some absolutely beautiful state parks, the Pine Barrens are great!

But I'm going to go with Hawaii, really want to move back some day.

Thanks to Sopranos, I associate Pine Barrens with dead bodies.

This country is mostly very beautiful. The landscapes vary so much it's incredible. States like Alaska and Hawaii being the polar opposites and the other 48 states offering a little in between.

Does it have to be contiguous US? If not, Hawaii for sure, especially Kauai.

You should try doing the tubing tours in the old sugar cane canals. You go through tunnels, down small little "waterfalls" and such. Really fun and pretty cool if you can bring a gopro with you.

Probably California.

Not going to bother with a pic.

Edit: Wait, are we talking people or landscape? I was answering for people.

Done that. :)

Granted that was in the days before the GoPro existed.

Another vote for Alaska. Went on a honeymoon cruise there with my wife a few years ago. Absolutely beautiful scenery.
