I can't tell - the sword could have broken off of another statue I suppose.
I do have to say, Diabolos seems a bit of a weird fit with the knightly theme Lucis' royal family has going.

I totally agree with this. Diablos just seems like an odd choice for them. There are swords though and it does look like it is holding a giant sword too in that emblem

since the game is coming out in 2-3 months i'd rather them not show anything because at this point anything is pretty much spoilers.

We never saw any statues in Lucis like that.
We do see the female ones at the castle entrance but this thing in the back is faceless.
They may just be original creature designs for XV.

Yeah, like the death theme for Lucis seems like it could work, and the knight theme seems like it could work, but how does it blend?
Tabata said those huge Crusader ghost figures from the Dawn trailer aren't summons, but I kind of wish Knigts of the Round/Crusaders were the Lucis summon.
On the other hand, we don't really know what the relationship of the summons and people are yet.
Edit: at Chozen - fair point, I could see it going either way. Hard to interpret the concept art.

The summons they've shown have been uniformly awesome, so I'm sure Lucis' will drop jaws either way.

I think its the FF6 crusaders as I had said before, Tabata loves FF6.
If FF7 wasn't being remade I could see KOTR making it in but they are probably letting 7 have it instead.
The resemblance is real. This could be very cool too depending how deep the connection is. Of course in VI, Crusaders damage party and enemy, supposedly to represent humans being caught in some kind of battle between heaven and hell.
Regis cries as he looks up and sees the crusaders - he/Noctis are going to become collateral damage in some age old conflict far bigger than any individual human.

The map in the middle looks like the clay model they showed long time ago while the map on the right looks more like this map which was shown half a year ago I think.
I asume the right one is the most up to date one then.This means the continent ends there at the north now and has no connection to the south-west continent anymore. I still want to know how big the "open world" is going to be. Oh and the map on the left has a big snowy mountain area. Is that maybe the snowy train sections show in that one trailer? Or was that a summon? (Or maybe both?)

it'll probably bump sales numbers but I feel like a ton of people will buy it solely for that reason but if XV reviews great then I think a lot of people will give it a try just from buying it for the FFVIIr demo.
I just don't want FFXV to be overshadowed

How? Theres like 10m views on the FF7 trailer, some of those people don't even know XV exists. If they bundled a FF7R Demo with XV, they'd play the demo, then play XV afterwards and realize "Wow this game is actually badass"

From a financial standpoint - yes
but what if the quality of the remake is overshadowing FF15, for example in terms of Gameplay (switching characters, maybe better controls, mechanics)
People saying afterwards, man i wish FF15 was like 7 or something like that
Not sure if Tabata would want it in his game - especially since there is a certain rivalry between the teams

I'd love to get my hands on an FF7R demo. But I'd hate to read a year's worth of drive by posts along the lines of "lol, still haven't played the budget game that they bundled with 7R demo!"

It's not happening and no keep them separate. Next time we hear about 7r is at PSX gotta let each game shine..besides no one wants another bitter reminder that Nomura isn't around.
They will probably bundle it with a smaller release to help promote it. Probably some other game coming out next year, like maybe FF XII or some other such game.
Or, they will just have a limited release free demo online.

EDIT: Playing Platinum Demo, the distance doesn't show much of anything. The city-scape is unremarkable in all directions(well, we don't know what lies behind the castle). You don't see that long highway, or the bridge to the side. I'm guessing all the cluster of buildings you see are the ones surrounding the palace in that artwork, and ONLY those.

That was because China bans skulls in video games, however the plat demo has the Lucis skull on the floor so there is hope they only censor in china.
