What is their argument for the day/night cycle being different in the various parts of the world? Wouldn't it be daytime pretty much everywhere at the same time if the world was flat?

Whats their arguement for 'if the earth is flat where is the edge and end of it?'

They claim that Antarctica doesn't exist, that there's actually a giant ice wall surrounding the disc, and this wall can be seen as a hazy white line along the horizon from most points on Earth.

Everyone who has ever been to the South Pole is also in on the conspiracy, just like NASA!

I don't personally believe it but it's not hard to understand why people do given the complete insanity of other shit other people believe in on the internet, along with the complete insanity of some of this wacky shit I myself believe in. Shit, I'm the last person with any right to judge.

I just went on the Flat Earth Society website and learned about The Ice Wall.
A 150 foot tall wall of ice that stops the oceans spilling off the side of the earth. Beyond it, snow, hail, hurricane force winds and indescribable storms reign supreme, perpetual ice stretches as far as eyes and telescopes can see before being lost in the gloom and darkness. You've never seen the Ice Wall because it's protected by groups who conspire to maintain the round earth theory.

will these people still deny the common sense if they would fly to space or to a really high altitude?

The windows are high resolution TV screens so they manipulate what passengers see. Duh!

Also the photos of Earth from space were created using photoshop.

/s though a lot of people do go for those theories.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
I don't think they really believe this nonsense. They want to part of the fringe.

They 100% believe it, some of them at least. I was briefly cursed with an assistant who was one of them.

This is one of the most dumb conspiracies I have read. what's the point of hiding such a huge secert what is it there to gain who even benefits from this would society collapse knowing the world is flat?. I think people like to feel special challenging the most basic of concepts believe that can see the truth and that everyone around them is blind

People have been to fucking space and took pictures of Earth. its clearly round. how do people refute that. i don't understand humans' logic calculators sometimes.
and lol at this. thinks that the distance from my house to my damn high school is enough to see a curve. maybe if Earth was the size of rolled up Australia.

I'm pretty sure they don't actually believe the earth is flat, they're just having a bit of fun pretending they believe it.

People also believe vaccines are giving kids autism and that prayer will heal a sick child in the hospital. People believe the holocaust didn't really happen. There is no end to the stupid shit that people believe.

I used to think so until I met people who do in fact believe the earth is flat. Adults with good jobs and otherwise normal in every way. I can't imagine going through life thinking the whole world is out to get me.

This is the world map according to flat earthers. What logic and bullshit reason do they use to excuse why airplanes that fly from South America to Australia chose to fly directly to the west instead of through the North Pole? In a globe the shortest path is west but if the earth was flat the shortest would be north. How do they explain this?

It's because the North Pole is really, really cold so pilots don't want to get frostbite flying over it. They might also crash into Santa Claus and we don't want that now, do we?

I heard one explanation for a flat earth was that guided missiles didn't have to take the curvature of the earth into account when they are programmed so the earth must be flat.Does that mean they don't believe in gravity as well?

Sounds like Game of Thrones with the walkers beyond the wall.

This is no more amazing than people who believe the crap in the Bible or Qu'ran. It really isn't that suprising.

It is probably possible to create a logically sound system where a flat earth is not inherently contradictiory. The problem is that evidence is needed not just that it is possible but also that it is true.

Hmm. I've never actually personally met anyone who claimed to believe this, so i'm going to ignore your input and keep on thinking they're just trolling us.

Wouldn't a flat earth be impossible as it would become a sphere due to gravity? Or is gravity a government conspiracy as well?
