viewpoint clone?
Just noticed that Ke-Tsu-No-Ana is releasing on STEAM May 25th.
Silly name and concept, but damn it looks good.
I'd open the task manger and have it run in the background to check if the game runs at 100% on a single thread. You could use something like Nvidia Inspector to monitor the GPU load while at it.I picked up Ke-Tsu-No-Ana and it runs in slow motion. like 7 frames a second slow. Anyone else experiencing this? I'll give it a few days before returning it.

It looks like a sprite-based shmup, have you tried running the game on your Intel GPU?GPU load is a 1%. I just don't know what's up with this game. I'd hate to get a refund on it cause it looks really fun. Just weird that my 980m can't run it.
Every 2d or 3d shmup I tried on my Intel HD4400 runs really good. I can only suggest to run the games on your integrated gpu, guysIt looks like a sprite-based shmup, have you tried running the game on your Intel GPU?
That isometric perspective looks pretty trippy.

Huh.Update: Well... this is crazy. It works on the 960m. It works perfectly fine. The creator told me the the issue could be from a driver for a controller. I'll look into that.
Minus and S. Skill Test were part of ShootingCollection 200X for X360, if I remember correctlyMecha Ritz: Steel Rondo will come out sometime next week. The game is amazing and everybody should buy it.
Also Degica Games announced Minus Zero alongside Shmups Skill Test; we still haven't got a date for either of them but it should be soon.
It's up now, http://store.steampowered.com/app/430290/Shmups Skills Test gearing up for release

Storepage isn't up right this second.
Got Steredenn from the Humble Monthly and decided to try it out.
I've heard of the roguelike/shmup genre combo before but haven't played many games of that genre. For Steredenn, it works really well. Music is great, stages are random yet well designed, and the powerups and weapons are varied and fun. I've only gotten to Stage 4 so far, and I can tell that getting to the end let alone finishing a loop is gonna take a nice long time.
Yeah some of the weapons suck, but the Bots are all awesome and tons of fun. Switching weapons is fine for me as well. Also I haven't noticed any constant offscreen lasers yet.I feel like it's still pretty rough and needs a lot of balancing. A lot of the weapons are underpowered or deliberately hard to use, to the point that the default peashooter is still the best choice 90% of the time.
It is mind-boggling that "switching weapons doesn't stop your autofire" is a powerup that you have to collect.
Also, have you seen the version of stage 3 where lasers are constantly being fired at you from offscreen? It feels cheap.
Check out DARIUSBURST Chronicle Saviours, brilliant in every respect. It seems most shmups are doujin/indie work, which is fine. I would like some Treasure level/Gradius V/ games. Is this on steam ?
I already own Ikaruga of course.

Stage 4 boss is as far as I have gotten on Steredenn. That game is tough. But I still enjoy it and feel like it's pretty decent aside from some of it's cheapness and underpowered weapons. The bots are where it's at 90% of the time.

Yeah, it's a great port, runs beautifully, got all the option one can ask for (4K tate, anyone?) and is super fun to play.More people need to play Eschatos in general.
Seconding ChryZ and sixteen-bit here.
I'd say the top Steam games in the genre are Mushihimesama, Deathsmiles, Ikaruga, DARIUSBURST, Strania, and probably Raiden IV. Crimzon Clover, too, though it's got doujin roots and is aesthetically rougher than these others as a result.
I will get DariusBurst for sure. I already own most of the games here, was hoping for more.
Thanks for your updates.I've got everything up to date. There were a couple of games released we missed. The most notable being 1917 The Alien Invasion.
I also held off on Trizeal and Exzeal until we got some offical pics of the PC verison. Once those two are released it should complete the Shooting Love 20XX compilation I think.
Guys, Xydonia is ready to rumble and it needs support!
This team has a lot of passion and talent. I tried the alpha months ago and it was like a Genesis/Megadrive shmup, it's awesome.
Thunderclap-Kickstarter - XYDONIA
I joined this earlier today. I've been looking at this game for months. Hopefully they get the funding they need!
I hope so. I made a specific thread to help share the projects with all Gaffers

All right, all of the core improvements have been implemented. These include professional character artwork, completely reworked story & writing, gameplay improvements, graphic improvements, a redesigned final boss, new music, more sound effects, and significant optimizations, among others. I just need to handle the work "outside" of the game (cover art, new website, setting up store page, etc.) and we should be good to go.
