Well, unless they change our laws, they'll have a hard time doing so as we still have pretty solid control of immigration compared to anywhere else in the EU, at least until we leave. Again, leaving will ironically (considering farage's stupid campaign) make us more likely to have to loosen the controls on EU-specific immigration so they'd have better luck AFTER we leave

The polls have been getting tighter, with some lately giving Leave a win. So I don't think the polls are that bad, especially when you consider that a referendum is a one-time thing, while other elections have more similarities to previous data.
