oh ffs. The wait is unbearable. Won't some famous youtuber/twitcher stream the game already? (doesn't have to be long... 30 minutes will suffice ;_;) I just want my fix of NMS.

Wow,
that hints at much more complex interactions with creatures than I ever expected. Makes you wonder why you want or need to feed them.

How great would it be to have your own little alien pet that you can traverse the universe with! I now have the hankering to watch Flight of the Navigator again...

Dayum, was hoping I could stay in this thread a little longer before the game arrives and just go dark a week before the game launches. But all these spoiler tags are killing me...

Oh well, time to isolate myself in Balari V!

This clip, https://vine.co/v/5mDelPbIKXH, shows:

*The small repeating 2-dimensional raindrop sprites (as mentioned before) are quite evident. You don't need to pause in order to see the pattern.

*The janky crap, I mean crab, animation. No sense of weight and the legs are restricted in movement.

*Another janky animation with clipping and skipping, as well as "Mario-running in place": https://vine.co/v/5mDawaKBEUa

These screenshots, http://imgur.com/JaErZN7 and https://i.imgur.com/Kry5ONC.jpg, show duplicate planet textures, likely to cover up the pop-up.

These are examples where immersion is broken and further exemplifies that the game is a tech demo.

Man, you're a really passionate detractor.

Let me blow holes in your thread-shitting with one response.

That is a test demo, and not the final product. We've seen dupe planets before, and Sean did it deliberately.

Yeah dont most of the demos start you off in a galaxy with inhabited planets to make a good show of it?

I mean, personally I hope there arent too many dupe planets, but Sean has said that they always show you the inhabited planets which will be a small percentage(and they start you off on a likewise planet)

Just ignore him. He's not worth responding to.

Switched my preorder from physical to digital. It's very likely gonna be one of those go-to games I play all the time whenever I don't have anything else, or when I want to relax a bit after playing a few hours of something more intense. So going digital just makes sense. Don't want to have to switch the disc all the time.

I'd do the same if I could get the BB discount on digital.

Crab doesn't seem that janky to me. And the animal in the other one seems to be trying to get up that hill but can't. None of these are that bad. How much time do you spend trying to turn people away from this game, and why?

I don't really care what game these would be from, they're not immersion breaking if you have any level of imagination.

Once I've decided I don't like a game, I don't bother posting in threads about it anymore. That would be a spectacular waste of my time.

Looks totally fine to me. Best damn tech demo this side of Phantom Pain.

Thanks. R3 for running though. That's pretty terrible.. hopefully those are fully customisable.

To be fair, using R3 for running is the same as MGSV. Hopefully we only have to tap it once like in that game. I don't like that Fire for your ship is a different button than Fire for ground combat though. Hopefully these can be customized.

Perhaps Hello wanted to provide a truly pacifist way to play the game? Very interesting. [had to look at the spoiler, too much talk about it!]

But then you'd miss out on that smug feeling you get when you're able to say "I warned you". And if it doesn't turn to shit, well...can't win em all.

I'm thinking it's just there to
calm down the aggressive creatures, or the ones you've scared/aggravated by shooting nearby or killing one of their kind, so if there's a mechanic that tied to your aggressive behavior that causes them to be constantly (and annoyingly) aggressive towards you, you can calm them down (a single creature, the local cluster or the entire species) and continue exploring and mining without being attacked every 10 sec or so.

I wouldn't consider these spoilers simply because this is just one location on one planet in a universe of 18 quintillion planets. This is what gets me excited. You wanted mountains and caves:
