I wish Eidos Montreal hadn't built their own engine and wasted precious development time and money on getting the damn thing to work (at least according to one of the employees). I understand this was many years ago, but I wonder how the game had turned out to be with better tools from the get-go rather than having to adjust and change the game as the development went along.

That Deus Ex sharpening is pretty gross looking, yeah.

I just started playing it, but I'm not exactly blown away by the visuals. I've reached the hub area and I can't think of a single moment where I stopped to think "this is a really good looking game." It's just kinda alright.

Besides the sharpening filter which I hope can be minimized with Reshade, I think it looks pretty nice..art style and world design seem reminiscent of Revolution but definitely a step up in terms of visuals. Then again..I'm a Deus Ex fanboy so I'm biased :p.

They didn't build their own engine, this is the Hitman 2016 engine that Eidos modified to suit their game. Even if they went something like UE4 or any middleware it would have required similar modifications.

Mankind Divided looked sooo much better a year or so ago. Sure its over sharpened a bit, but even toning the sharpening down in this shot would still look miles better than it does right now.

That's a bullshot through and through. Guaranteed it never looked like that in motion.

When did the crew start looking so nice?
That's what I'm trying to figure out lol. I remember it looking really unremarkable during the beta, guess they cleaned it up.
I think last year they had an update for the crew's graphics engine

Yep, the game received some visual updates some time ago. Mine isn't even on max settings, to be honest, but the photomode add some crispness to the IQ, for sure.

Sharpening can be turned off. My shots are without sharpening.

I think CA used carefully can definitely enhance a games visual character, but I agree about sharpening, particularly aggressive sharpening like the one present in MD. It looks awful, I feel really bad for those playing on consoles. Hopefully they will patch in an option for them.

Here you go
Each video can be up to 1 GB.
Video playback is constrained to the first 3 minutes.
Not sure about hotlinking.

Just the kind of page I was looking for, thanks. 1TB is an extremely generous amount if hotlinking works.

Based on their guidelines it seems the only requirement for hotlinking is that you link back to the original flickr page, and that images aren't merely website assets like logos, etc.

That said I sometimes see flickr photos that display with a placeholder graphic when hotlinked and I'm not sure why that's triggered.

Update: so after signing up I found that videos aren't hotlinkable, at least not private ones. Furthermore flickr heavily compresses the quality for the web viewer, so unless a user downloads the file they'll be seeing a poor quality substitute :/

Primarily, the game now doesn't have motion blur... That's the biggest difference from the game as we have it.

Motion blur whiners finally won, and we all lose.
