Got the Taniks cloak tonight doing strikes with randoms, rad! Also got my LL up to 307, so hopefully I can impose on someone this weekend for the Warpriest CM >_>. Still need to do King's Fall HM as a whole for the Triumph at some point too.

Definitely enjoying the higher LL drops across the board along with 1:1 infusion.

When I do get a chance though-there isn't any way to control who gets the aura right? It's random-so if someone gets it twice do you just wipe?

So there are 3 plates, who ever has to stand on the plate last is the branded.
You can work it out pretty easily by having the more experienced in the middle for calling the plates, and the right side having at least 1 experienced in case they need to run to the middle plate for branding.

You only have a random aura/brand if someone dies with the brand.
So pick wisely, use weapons of light bubbles, and nightstalker tethers to work him down quickly and easily.

If you have to hold the brand, bring out a heavy machine gun, and wait till the last 3-2 seconds before killing an acolyte to reset the timer, and lower the brand stack by 1x.

Black spindle is really good for keeping the DPS on him at a fairly constant rate, as well as keeping him staggered, so if you haven't already gotten one, I suggest you run the Lost to Light mission with a team ready to speed run the mission.

I have one with Firefly/Underdog and Triple Tap
And another with Third Eye/Exhumed and Icarus.

Thanks for the offer. I didn't see you online, and LT,T44, and Durden got me through some PoE challenge stuff. I think I'm getting sucked back in, so I'm sure we'll get to play together soon. I have have to tell you all about the truck I bought.

FINALLY!!

It took me four tries and hours of grinding to keep getting the Command Beacons to drop so I could go at it again, but I finally got that Skyburners fragment.

Only 3 left to go now, and I have to wait until next week for them to be available.

Now I have to get on that dumb sword quest. 20 more crucible sword kills to go... X(

I take it agent and Thaennon got the cm done?

Any helpers from 6 until late UK time.

Gutz are you free for another flawless Crota run from tonight to Sunday bight to get my nipper the trophy. He's hassling me big time.

I can run it with you and hopefully get three more that need it.

hmm, that would be around lunch time for me. I can try to make it, but I can't make any promises for tomorrow.
I could probably do something Saturday though.
Make a roll call post, and see who joins. If it can be filled up, I can try to make time for tomorrow, otherwise I will be free Saturday.

Get a buddy that needs em, go into free for all and meet in a corner, double melee kills and couple of games, all done.

Thanks for the invite Rodd, sorry we didn't do it. It's actually surprising to me how many people in this game hit max light and don't know the raid, even on normal. I guess some just don't care that much about it.

So after two years of playing this game off and on, I'm starting to realize it's actually a lot deeper than I originally thought.

I'd like to start researching the various mechanics of the game, but I'm not sure where to find up-to-date information.

How do you guys keep up with everything?

There are a lot of systems, and regular events, plus obscure nooks and crannies to the game. The best bet are some of the resources in the OT here, plus Destiny reddit.

Reddit has a lot of SGA (super good advice) posts and a lot of useful guides and strategies if you know what you want to search for.

Best bet is to pick something you want to do, or a topic and then do some searching to find it.

E.g. do you want to know what a god-roll is for an Eyasluna in PvP? or do you want to know how good the rolls are on the gunsmith weapons this week, based on weapon packages he has sold in previous weeks? or do you want to know the number and order that Oracles spawn in the Vault of Glass?

or do you want to know how light level affects damage? and whether light level has a different effect when you attack PvE enemies versus when PvE enemies attack you? and how is it modified when you're a different level to the enemy?

There are many deep rabbit holes to explore :)
