Had expected to receive a fairly big shipment of retro games in August, but it got delayed.

So it's been mostly Vita.

Vita games: Aegis of Earth - Protonovus Assault, Xeodrifter, Samurai Warriors 4-II, Final Fantasy X HD Remaster, Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Venus, Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster, Earth Defense Force 2 - Invaders From Planet Space, Söldner-X 2 - Final Prototype, Assassin's Creed Chronicles, MotoGP 14, and Rayman Legends

FF X and X-2 on vita are in english ?

vanilla ware <3

Vita games: Aegis of Earth
How's Aegis of Earth? I've been thinking of picking it up for my daily commute trips.
They have a physical Asian release in English which has gotten quite expensive.
Correct but only FF X is actually physical, X-2 is just a bundled download code. At least that's case for my pal copy.

Some games I picked up! I wanted to start collecting some stuff on PSP, so I hunted down a few games. I found these brand new and sealed at a used game store here in Toronto:

And I picked this up as well, never played it:

The last month has also really bulked up my Steam account! Between sales, Humble Bundle, and a trade here or there, I'm up to 60 games...doesn't sound like that much, maybe, but I only got a gaming PC in June, so I need to cool it, haha. Decided that I can't buy anything else until I beat and review everything I've got.

Mario Bros Game and Watch, my first one, despite its age, still works great and in decent condition, thinking of collecting these now...

Now for the high ticket items, now that Markman mentioned it, I picked up a Sega Astro City arcade last week, these are rarely available here in Canada so I got this asap when I saw it for sale

And the real wallet buster, a brand new Vewlix L cabinet imported from Asia, still need an arcade board so I'm running my PC off it for now

Last month's pickups:
Call of Duty
Call of Duty: United Offensive
Call of Duty 2
No Man's Sky
Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X

I spent a weekend with one of my old roommates from college last month. He's moving and found the COD games while going through his stuff and asked if I wanted them. I already had COD2 on Steam, but I never got around to picking up the first or the expansion (probably because it was $20 for the both of them during sales).

Shin Megami Tensei II
Majin Tensei II: Spiral Nemesis
Ranma 1/2: Ougi Jaanken
Crystalis
Mischief Makers

Earlier in the month I was visiting home and stopped by my favorite retro game shop. I had been on the lookout for that Ranma game for quite some time, ever since I saw it in one of JewWario's
;____;
videos a few years back. It's pretty neat but takes a bit to get the hang of. Crystalis was recommended to me by the clerk, but I haven't got a chance to sit down with it yet. I picked up the two MegaTen games just for the novelty of owning them (I like to get original copies of games I have to play fan translations of, even though Majin Tensei II is currently untranslated). Mischief Makers is another thing I've been keeping an eye out for for a few years.

This month's pickups (so far):

Lunar: The Silver Star
Lunar II: Eternal Blue
Tatsujin

Fuck me, this one caught me by surprise.

I was visiting home for Labor Day weekend when I stopped by my usual retro game store again. I look in the case by the register and see those two fuckers staring at me. On top of that there was a Popful Mail sitting with them too! If I had the money at the moment I would have gone for all three, but Popful Mail was fucking $300. I grabbed Truxton for free since they were having a Buy 2 Get 1 sale, and there weren't any games that I had an interest in that were closer to $80 (they had a Dracula X with a messed up label for $160, but that's been there for a few months and I already decided to pass on it long before). Odds are that Popful Mail will sit there for a few months due to its price, so I may consider picking it up around the end of next month when I make my next visit (and have more money).

I'm jealous. What arcade board are you going to put in?

They are. Voices and subtitles are both in Chinese in and in English. The back of the box has mostly English text, in case you're wondering.

How's Aegis of Earth? I've been thinking of picking it up for my daily commute trips.

Aegis is a pretty decent tower defense style of game imo. I like the art style. The story is wholly forgettable though. A bit too much talking going on for my liking at times.

Gameplay wise it's rather grind heavy, because you're always looking for resources to improve your defense of course. But it has that just-one-more-round feel to it, so I've been playing it for a good bit.

Friend of mine gave this to me as a gift. Awesome Air Jordan 1 - Black/Red USB battery charger. lol. It matched the shoes I had on. This thing is detailed! Real leather, real laces, real rubber molding.

Asian retail releases comes separately like in japan, so both has its own cart and box.
Thanks, I thought that EU and Asia got the same physical version (as in box contents).
That's why I specified that it was the Asian version that had a physical release? Why even bother replying...
I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds good as I don't mind a heavy grind for a game such as this.

Nice one.

Worth the money?

Since my old Ducky Shine 2 was about the same price, I think so. It is working great with my G502 and I love them. The feel is a bit better and quieter than my old Shine 2 Brown.

My only complain is when Win 10 is in lock screen, the lighting og G810 turned back to Color Wave than my setting, and when I logged back to the desktop, it reverts to my setting, G502 won't.

I'm jealous. What arcade board are you going to put in?

At first I thought a used Taito Type X2 but including shipping, it would cost me ~$550 CAD for the unit itself without any games :(

I already own an upgraded Alienware Alpha so I shoved that in there and downloaded Street Fighter V off steam. For the controls, I'm waiting for a Jamma to USB convertor that I bought off Alibaba so it would be just plug and play.

I also ordered a Pandora Box 4 arcade box so I could play some retro arcade games with less fuss. I know the games on it aren't exactly like the original but I'm willing to go with that for the sake of convenience.

Didn't know there were people into Supreme on GAF.
Cool brand, wish they had a store in Toronto, costs almost 50% more here due to the exchange rate and import fees

Thank everyone! Oh and don't worry she said yes.

Congrats!!! You put on ring on it! I'm afraid to ask how much that thing set you back...

Oh rock of ages, do not crumble, love is breathing still. Oh lady moon shine down, a little people magic if you will.

Never even thought about buying Disney Infinity before thanks to it's high price tag, but for €10 per set (€13 for the Starterpack) i'm happy to help some shops get rid of their stock.
Its very likely i'm going to enjoy Disney Infinity, but I mainly bought these sets for the figurines. :D
Besides, they probably won't be easy to buy in a year or so. Felt like a now or never kinda deal.

Update to my last post.

Got the just-released newest full color english DBZ book. Was supposed to arrive on Tuesday, but got lost, then something weird happened where my apartment's office had it yesterday and didn't know (or something?) until after I had them check again today. Amazon already refunded me the 6 dollars for shipping, and started the refund process for the whole thing, but I emailed them to tell 'em that wasn't necessary. From my experience with Amazon customer service... I'm guessing they won't care and just give it to me for free and refund me anyways. (Just looking at that cover reminds me of one of my favorite videos on Youtube.)

Got the Sound Blaster because I've always been curious about these external sound blasters (Man... I lovvedd my Audigy 2 Platinum). It sounds better than onboard, but not face-meltingly so I'd say. I really wanted it so I could make my headphones louder.
Tried it with Xbox One, and I couldn't get the optical cable that came with it to go in, so I just used the headphone jack from my TV. It still sounded better I guess... not 7.1 or anything.

Pro Gaming Mouse from Logitech. It's freaking great! I like it because it's so much like the G303 for me, but my hand is more relaxed since my thumb and ring finger isn't bent so much and gripping the mouse so tightly.

Star Fox... I only got because it was like 25 clams on Amazon. I don't really plan on playing it for a while. I'll have to hook up my Wii U back up and see if I can get into it this weekend.

Yep.

I'm pretty excited. Best prize I've won by far.

That's pretty frikken' awesome dude! Congrats!

Edit: Oh yeah. Addition.
I got this like... a week ago? I forgot to put it in my last posts.
I already had the original hardcover guide, but I wanted the "complete" one. Sometimes guides go up in price after a while. Like the damn Dark Souls Hardcover and the Fallout 3 Hardcover. I don't use them as guides even, I just like looking at them sometimes.
