I'm getting the low framerate orange icon on the right all the time during multiplayer matches even though my framerate is fine, super annoying.
Also, is there some way to turn off the sharpening filter or whatever is going on? Seems like there's a halo around some edges or something, I don't know. I'm not really a fan of the TAA in this game either.
That is dropped packets not framerate if you are talking about what I'm thinking of.
The Low FPS one in this image:
Game ready nvidia driver didn't do shit for my issues. Still huge stutter and dropped frames. i7 6700, 970, 8gb ram. I'm tempted to get a 16gb ram upgrade but it doesn't seem like ram is the issue.
Now a lot has changed in the Frostbite engine since BF4 so it might not be the issue, but when BF4 came out, a friend of mine was past all the recommended specs for the game, but was right on the line for the recommended RAM spec, and he had stuttering issues like mad. He upgraded his RAM and then the game ran fine. It might actually be the issue, if it's similar to how BF4 handled its resources.
Holy fucking shit guys... I'm playing through the campaign right now... I thought the first two levels (intro and first tank level) were pretty and then I got to the forest....

I'm running a R9 290X, FX 8370 4.00GHz w/ 8gb RAM using DX12 at 1080p and performance is all over the place!
There's a lot of stuttering, and lowering graphical settings doesn't seem to change performance at all. Sometimes single-digit frame-rates, too. Would adding another 8gb of RAM solve this? Really enjoying the game but it's a nightmare Thoughts? Is RAM bottle-necking me?
Sounds like CPU bottleneck actually. AMD always drops frames in Frostbite games, even if they aren't at 100%. Similar situation in GTA 5, where you can't hold 60FPS in certain areas, even at 720p with everything turned to the lowest settings. Really annoying.
Edit: Apparently this game does stutter a lot on 8GB of RAM, but I think your CPU is also contributing to it. I personally wouldn't upgrade DD3 RAM just to play BF1, and there's no guarantee it will solve your issues.
I'm too dumb at the maths to figure out what resolution the 150% resolution scale is. Anyone know?
Depends on what resolution you start with.

I'm also getting this though I do get drops occasionally for what seems like no reason.I'm getting the low framerate orange icon on the right all the time during multiplayer matches even though my framerate is fine, super annoying.

How much stock do you guys have with the GeForce Experience app?
I have a GTX 960 4GB, and with optimal settings turned on, it had it much closer to the performance side than the quality side. The game played fine, but looked like a launch Xbox 360 title.
I decided to bump up the setting directly in the middle, and turn on DX12. The game's only hiccup I saw was the first time I deployed into the map, there were some framerate drops, but after that, totally fine. Looked a lot better.
I would try setting it at preferring max performance. Don't change quality settings. So: use the advanced 3d image settings, go to manage 3d settings, program settings, add a bf1 profile if it's not there, then under power management set to prefer max performance. Certain games seem to respond to this.
Look at that log. Your clock is dropping very low and load% is dropping to 0. Your fan is also shutting off at what looks like random times.
Do you have any GPU programs running like MSI Afterburner or anything from the manufacturer?

My specs:
5820k 4 Ghz OC'd
GTX 1080
32 GB RAM
Can I max it out on 1080p 60fps? Can I do more?

Struggling to get 60fps with everything on LOW on my brother's PC.
1920x1080
i5 4670@3,4Ghz
GTX 970
16GB
Game is installed on a standard hard drive
With the optimal GeForce Experience or the "Auto" in the game's options (mix of ultra and high) I get around 35-40fps. V-sync is on, FOV on max.
Is this normal ? (His PC might a mess)
No one can help me please ? Thanks
I did a test on a single map quickly but what I'm seeing with SLI on vs off is little to no scaling. SLI appears to have higher max framerates but also lower min framerates, the average is probably pretty much a wash. I think I'll just use a single 980ti for now. I'm not seeing a benefit for SLI at the moment, Definitely a disappointment. This is why I'm going to sell my 980tis and replace it with a single 1080ti when it's released.
No idea what to try, but that is definitely too low for your system. Maybe fiddle around in the Nvidia control panel and the profile for BF1. Perhaps try setting power options to prefer max performance. One of the posters above seems to have had some luck with it.
i5 2500k at 4.0, 970, 8GB Ram. Running great at 1080p on ultra. Played MP for 8 hours and only had 2-3 dips when the screen was getting lit up with mortars and grenades. Dont know the exact frames but I can't feel any change except for those few moments above.
Well, I feel like my fps is much more stable and it even auto's the graphics to Ultra instead of High now. However, it's super smooth right up until it freezes. The freezing remains! I've never had this kind of lock up before. I can't figure out what it is. The CPU isn't at max, my ram is well above the recommended, my GPU is still fairly new, and it's installed on an SSD, and can run the game perfectly fine. Except for these random lock ups. Could it be a driver issue? I've tried the last 2 nvidia drivers but still no good. WTF is doing it? Argh.
I remember the controversy about 970's getting throttled when it reaches a certain usage, could it be that? Though, I've never had this happen in other games. And even so, wouldn't a bottleneck just hurt the fps? Not freeze it.

Are you using DX12?
I got 16gb ram, gtx1070 and run the 2500k at 4.5ghz and am dropping to 40 FPS all the time on 60 player servers. Even on Medium. Doesnt really matter which settings I use, performance is always shit.
Motionblur at 50 (instead of 0) does wonders for me.

i5 4670k

Ultra preset. FOV Hor 90.

At 0 framerate dropped to 40fps sometimes. Now it's always above 53FPS. Strange, right?!
