I love its naming.
KH1.5 > 2.5 > 2.8
Hey look it goes up in order.
hurr hurr so confusing and complicated, omg omg smh.

Which is baffling. The KH 2.8 package really doesn't warrant the asking price.cause 2.8 is $60 and 1.5+2.5 is $50.
Com and bbs are playableWait, do any of these PS4 collections include 358/2 Days, CoM and BBS or are those floating off on their little console islands?
They know people are going to pay for it because of 0.2. DDD isn't too old either and the back cover movie is a brand new thing as wellWhich is baffling. The KH 2.8 package really doesn't warrant the asking price.

Wait, do any of these PS4 collections include 358/2 Days, CoM and BBS or are those floating off on their little console islands?

Seems like a price for just the hardcore fans then, but not for the general public. They know people are going to pay for it because of 0.2. DDD isn't too old either and the back cover movie is a brand new thing as well

Its really not that complicated. Talking about kingdom hearts on this place is a tad annoying. Nd now with the mega collection coming soon you only need two discs to catch up on the series but I'm sure that's to hard too
O yea that's absolutely what it is DDD is probably the most divisive,0.2 is a brand new short taste of kh3 gameplay plus a popular character and the back cover story is something only the Hardcore will followSeems like a price for just the hardcore fans then, but not for the general public.
358/2 was just a weird number that tied into whatever in that game.
1.5 is an improved version of 1 with extra content from other games that took place before 2.
2.5 is the same thing, but for 2.
2.8 comes with even more content than 2.5
1 -> 2 -> 3
1.5 -> 2.8 -> 3
O man you are in fir a treat DDD is my favorite of the bunch(unpopular opinion) flow motion is so good1.5+2.5 contain everything that is not in 2.8 and 3
Well yeah, core fans are going to buy it, and then when the price drops others will.
I'm buying because i haven't played DDD myself cause i don't own a 3DS

Yes actuallyThis has to rank up there with the dumbest things I've ever seen in gaming. How dumb do you have to be to fuck up "let's hang out with Disney characters?" Why is any of this necessary? Do the devs actually think more than a handful of people who frequent message boards are buying these games for the thrilling saga of Xenohort, Xasdog, and the heartless nobodies' search for anime mcguffins?
It just gets annoying hearing the same tired complaints over and over. If one has not paid attention to KH since 1 and 2, and for that matter, skipped chain of memories, does one want an explanation to how to go through them or do they want to cry about how the titles are weird for 90 pages?
Just buy the compilation collections and play them if you want to get up to speed.
ALso just for clarification, Back Cover(the final game in 2.8) is not cutscenes of Kingdom Hearts Chi, it is an actual movie showcasing completely new events from the perspective of the foretellers. Mostly from the perspective of random keyblade warriors.
Back Cover will likely cover the events of Chi anyway, and make it irrelevant.
I'll buy KH3 on day one and play it for its art design, game play, music, final fantasy fanservice and Disney worlds. But I've long since made my peace that I won't know what the fuck will be going down with its nonesensical story. Fuck trying to follow this series. This has to rank up there with the dumbest things I've ever seen in gaming. How dumb do you have to be to fuck up "let's hang out with Disney characters?" Back Cover? What?

Of course. So is the expectation to follow the story of KH III that all the games are required to be played/seen?
Not to be confused with Unchained Chi/X which takes place in a different dimension! It's the movie for Chi/X
Ansem the wise is now a non factorIf you think the titles are confusing (they are), wait till you meet my main man Ansem.Xehanort
Not including the heartless Ansem, the past version Xehanort, Xemnas the nobody, the original Ansem the Wise, or any of the organization XIII members possessed by Xehanort.

I mean seriously even the story confusing for the sake of being confusing no wonder ppl confused everytime they mention it
That's it.
I'm never playing these games.
2.5 and 2.8 are different collections. The former contains 2 and BBS (KH0), the latter contains 3D and 0.2 (a short current gen game following up on the events of BBS).
You can like its naming conventions all you want but anyone honestly trying to argue how the Kingdom Hearts series isn't a confusing mess is being disingenuous.
And it's not jus about three compilations with three numbers with decimal numbers. As a casual KH fan i constantly see shit like KH 0.2, and KH 358/2, KH Re:CoM or KH Unchained X. Add to that how they've dragged out the story for 15 goddamn years, which in it on itself has its own massive problems when trying to make sense of it, and you have a very very confused audience.
I'm a diehard gamer who GAFs daily and has played KH1, and 2 on PS2 and I don't know what the fuck's going on anymore. What are the chances that other less invested would-be fans who dont dwell on gaming forums everyday will buy these compilations or KH3?
Theres a lot to love about KH. Maybe even its titles. But let's be real and drop the pretenses. Do not defend this series saying they're not confusing or say they're easy to follow. As true as water is wet it is not.
I rest my case.
That's it.
I'm never playing these games.
I know it has already been said in this thread, but I have to reiterate.
It's not 1.5, 2.5 & 2.8. It's I.5, II.2 & II.8: Final Chapter Prologue.
It's hurts to type those out.
That's stupid.
