[EU] PSN Black Friday sale extravaganza - Great prices!

Well that's pretty meh, where's all the indies? Skyrim is tempting but I'd prefer physical and the price isn't mind blowing or anything. But maybe I should stop being a cheapskate and just buy it.

Do people reckon Hitman is worth it? I was going to get it 2nd hand on physical when it came out, but not sure if it'll be that cheap on physical even 2nd hand! At least not for a few months.

Is anything extra included on the physical edition, and will you have to be continuously online in order to play on that edition too?

Audio, you have a Pro and HDR I believe, you owe it to yourself and your tech to play Ratchet and Clank!

I know, but I usually always prefer buying retail. R&C retail pricing should be this low very soon.

I have £30 in my PS4 wallet and don't really want to spend anymore. Buying Pro was a bit of an impulse due to deals, and I have FF15 incoming.

So I'm taking my time to consider what to buy lol. Odin Sphere probably has a really small retail print, hence it will hold value. So £20 for digital is probably going to be the lowest it goes for a while. Even Deus Ex is going for £17.99 in retail just now. I think I'll just wait for the inevitable GOTY edition next year with all DLC at £17.99 lol.

Nothing will top the original Deus Ex, they've lost a bit of that magic.

As I said above Odin Sphere probably won't get cheaper soon due to a low print in retail. Hitman and Skyrim physical copies will probably be cheaper Jan/Feb of next year. Skyrim definitely. £25 for it for me isn't a good deal. It'll drop like a stone in UK retail.

If your backlog and time is an issue Skyrim is the worst thing you could buy right now.

Get Oxenfree and Odin Sphere, and excise the other two. You can buy one of them if you manage to complete two games from your backlog in the next few days, plus the physical releases of both will probably drop to below £25 each by the time you get around to playing them (I'm interested in Skyrim but didn't like Oblivion all that much, so I'm waiting on it to drop to about £15).

These discounts are pretty shit, lot of repeats, lot of repeats that have had bigger discounts previously, lot of discount where physical copies can be found cheaper.

I picked up God of War III Remastered for £6. I want to use my PlayStation alot more than i currently do. I tend do play Xbox alot, that is where my friends are at and I tend to use the PS for the exclusives. I have already finished the likes of Until Dawn, Bloodborne, Uncharted etc.. but i don't know where to turn next.

May pick up Gravity Rush Remastered, that's only £10

I'm going for Far Cry: Primal and MGS V: Definitive Edition. Both games I've been looking at for a good wee while, and I've never really given either franchise a fair shot.

Everybody round here seems to rave about the gameplay in The Phantom Pain/Ground Zeroes, so I'm up for giving it a go. But I'm really looking forward to running around in the Stone Age throwing spears at woolly mammoths and sabre-tooth tigers, that just interests me for some reason.

Probably pick up Xcom 2, just waiting to see if they're going to do a 10% discount code like they have on the US store, than I'll buy the more expensive version.

Fuck me, that's a lot of recent games on my PSN wishlist that I didn't want to pay 70 at release for...

Bought the BF1 and TF2 deluxe bundle as well as Hitman full season. 40 per game, that will do.

Problem is I'm still playing the games I bought on last month's sale (which I did to avoid buying BF1 etc. haha), Deux Ex and R&C mainly...

Then there's FFXV and TLG around the corner. As much as it seems that waiting a bit pays off (even for the digital versions by now), those two I really want to play at release...

I have no time for all this shit :(

Got Life is Strange for those £5, already beated it but for that price I couldn't say no to the digital version

I'm on the fence about these ones:

- Batman Arkham Knight Premium Edition > £16
- DiRT Rally > £16
- Odin Sphere Leifthrasir > £20

I already completed AK a year ago but I never played the DLC, is it worth my time?

Regarding DiRT and Odin Sphere, never played any of them but I've seen high praise for both of them. What does GAF think?

If I buy the CoD IW Legacy Edition do I need to download both games to play CoD 4? Or can I delete IW when I'm done? If so I'll buy that too, play IW's SP and delete it, don't won't a CoD game I'll never play taking up 100GB.

Titanfall 2 is £19.85 and Battlefield 1 £34.85 at Simply Games right now!

Yes! Now I don't need to go to HMV tomorow. Do simplygames sell the ganes with the yellow dots (nordic/UAE) on their cases? Not a big fan of them so may still get it in store if so.

You can probably watch all the batman dlc on youtube in less than 3 hours. Even the bigger dlcs are fairly small iirc.

Just got home and checked the sale out on console. Prices are sort of good but the range of games is a little disappointing.

What's the Destiny Collection Upgrade priced at?

I'm currently in the US so it's not letting me see UK prices on the store and the price tracker sites don't seen to have it. Wanting to get onto that latest expansion a little late.

I may just pick up Watch Dogs 2 or Mafia 3 for £40 since I've got credit, which would you suggest keeping in mind I'll eventually pick them both up - i.e. which is more likely to drop in price again ? I'd imagine Watch Dogs 2 will see a better discount next month ?

Sorry, it won't let me see as I already own Destiny: TTK so I'm not allowed to buy the Destiny Collection. I am eligible for just the upgrade version though, which is £25.

Honestly, I'd say save your credit for Christmas/New Year sale deals and if you can wait a few weeks I can see the price of both of these plummeting. I'd bet they'll be under £20 after Christmas.

Debating getting Odin Sphere, since (as mentioned before) it's unlikely to get any cheaper both physical and digital for a while.

Otherwise, the only other thing that popped out at me was Tales of Zestiria for £12, but I've never played a Tales game before - any suggestions?

You're probably right - I'm just being impatient :p I think I'll just wait, considering the massive backlog of new games I've already amassed, as well as FFXV releasing in a few days on top of that.

Thank you :)

You think TF2 will be on sale again during Christmas?
I'm tempted to pull the trigger at £35 but it's a wee bit less on Amazon currently (but would prefer a digital version).

It may go down £5-10 more, but that's a small price to pay to play the game a month early - it's absolutely worth it.

Yay finally bought a PS4 now on black friday for 230 Euro..chepeast I could find in Sweden..

Picking up the following 3 games to start with on PSN

Need for speed
MTGSV Definitive edition
Killzone shadow fall

As a single player only guy, without ps plus, can I still enjoy Starwars battlefront ultimate edition? Is it enough single player content? Like horde mode, bot matches etc? No Campaign right?

It is very much worth getting if you have a stable internet connection. To access a lot of the SP stuff (like Sniper Rifles, poison, starting locations, a number of Challenges etc.), you'll need a connection, though you can play it bare bones offline. I doubt that'll change for the physical version.

I believe Battlefront does have bots now but I haven't tried them and I'm pretty sure you can only play against them in two modes, walker assault and fighter squadron.

There are missions to play but they are very shallow and have no story at all.

To be honest it depends how much you love Star Wars and how much you're willing to part with for a few hours in its universe.

I like the game a lot but I personally wouldn't pick it up for single player only when there are much better shooters out there like Doom for example.

Apart from Zeteria, there is nothing that really grabs me. Hopefully New Years sale will be better. I've yet to make a purchase this Black Friday!
