The Tomorrow Children [OT] Where FTP means 'For The People'

It's easier to deal with the time gate as a whole when you have a whole town of people working on a thing. That's kind of the purpose. The only thing left would be to balance things to retain players per town,

I think some people feel like they HAVE to do everything when they don't, simply because newer players aren't filling in the roles so well.

Started playing this a few days ago out of curiosity, a few questions:

- I have been experiencing many/frequent disconnects [code 103], is today's (Nov17) server maintenance supposed to address this issue?
- I like Avatars and Themes, will they ever become available to European Proletariat?
- What are the Avatars included in the (European) Frontier Pack? I haven't found any pictures besides Japanese players on Youtube, but those might also be region-specific.

In conjunction with the above I wouldn't mind spending some money on this game, but because of the frequent disconnects and region 'locked' content I'm hesitant.

Also, are sound/volume controls locked behind Bourgeoisie Papers as well? Turret and monster noise clipping during attacks are a pain in the ear.

There are some stages/towns that are experiencing 103 errors, please move to a different town as this will be fixed in the coming week or two in a patch.

Interesting idea.. I'll put it into the list.
How about a ticker on the bus to clearly show where it's headed next? Something along the lines of Island #1 - Island #2 - Island #3 - Home Town for example. Often times the pint-sized islands (like those which harbour plenty of trees) get completely overlooked if they don't happen to be the first stop for the bus' route, since either virtually everyone immediately hops off to harvest the bigger islands or you only really notice them from afar once they have that aura at the end of their lifespan if they happen to be relatively far away.

Saw on REDDIT the next big update (whenever that is) is supposed to bring better visibility of friends, wasn't defined how that will work though.

I know I asked if towns could take a bit longer t complete, but this has really become difficult. The town I'm resident has an average population of 5-6 and is stuck around 200 dolls.

I switched to a town with larger number of comrades and worked for multiple sessions gaining lots of toil. The town just reached 500 and I was out of the top 100 (3500 toil for 100th).

Took me about a month to complete the last town. I didn't mind, got second place.

Why do people keep building things high in the sky? To use up mandate?

Last town that finished had about 100 signs and storage boxes high above the town.

Had noticed people doing that during Halloween to protect their town as all the monsters had gone crazy destroying everything.

Probably just a remnant from that.

My town's got like 20 trees up there, with a hole right above the food resource square. It's super efficient, we almost never run out of food, and monsters can't destroy them.

So there's a The Tomorrow Children mobile app! On Android and iOS.

Apparently it's just the mini-games featured in the workbench of the full game. It's cool for practice.

would be cool if it could be connected to the main game sometime in the future - solve a puzzle on your commute, so you don't have to do it later in the main game

edit:
live statistics about what is happening in your town right now would be awesome too

Yesterday i went to the Power Plant, put in 1+8 pieces of coal at once for some 720 kW and immediately after that, energy dropped to zero.

There is a new quest globally and personal but how do i track the personal quest of extracting 1000 resources?

And is for going to a island and extract to the bus minerals or is enough to only extract resources of the islands but not for extracting in the bus?

At this point there is nothing more annoying to me than:

- town being constantly low on food
-some of us struggling to keep tree farms surviving in town
-some jackass always cutting the trees down even though we have over 250 wood supplies
-I get disapproval votes just because I'm in the same area with the perpetrator(s).

We even built an island high up in the sky with food-producing trees, yet someone still flew up, cut all the trees down, and dropped a ladder. Now we can't maintain any trees up there. So frustrating. I really wish there was an alternate food source in towns. :/

Agree Completely, if Dylan keeps ignoring the food problem. He's going to see a huge drop in players, it's gotten to the point I play for 5min and log off.

Food wouldn't be such an issue if people didn't cut down my trees all the time.

Would be great if tree cutting within a town was limited to residents.

I already gave an idea on a previous post, if they could make special town saplings that only could be destroyable by disassembler, it would fix the problem. That way noobs to the game could cut down normal trees and progress, while us vets would not need to worry on them cutting down the food trees and if one got a disassembler we'd know he be a griefer and put him in jail.

We have a no. of plans in the works surrounding these issues.

The Frontier Pack is part of the EUropean PSN Digital Flash Sale (9.99) and to answer my own question, the avatars included were not the ones I hoped for, unfortunately.

Whoever the fuck this SHENMUEBE guy is in my town (Galusova), I hope he's enjoying consistently being an asshole.
Three days now he's been trolling around here, putting barriers up around the supply areas, flooding the loading docks with jack rammer shit, and just being a pain in the butt.

He's getting snubs, spending time in jail, but it doesn't stop him. Really annoying. Don't understand why people want to go out of their way to grief others- and the fact that this is a recurring issue is annoying.

Yeah, the griefing system needs a serious overhaul. Putting them in jail multiple times does not deter them and worst of all snubbing someone costs you coupons.

There should be either a reporting system so they can be monitored and banned or even just if they go to jail 3 times in a day then they are kicked for 12/24hrs.

What amazes me (maybe it shouldn't?) is that he's an actual resident of the town, so he either paid for this game or worked his butt off presumably for Bourgoise papers. Doesn't make any damn sense.
I painted his house red (the only red one in town), because... well... why not? :p

I love so many aesthetic aspects of this game, but the core gameplay loop is leaving me cold. Character actions require minimal inputs (e.g., walk over to something and press a button to mine) and everything you work to create is dismissed when it reaches its apex (e.g., your town and its various structures).

If there were more platforming, exploration, or involved combat mechanics, I think I'd be much more hooked. And of course permanence. I still haven't become a resident anywhere because it feels like it won't be my house. It's just some temporary shack.
