Since Captain Marvel is already in, if I could get 3 out of the 9 listed below I'd be ecstatic.

If Spencer's in, I really hope his classic costume is his default attire this time around.
Been playing UMVC3 for the last few days and man, Classic Spencer really does look so much better than the modern dreadlocks one. I always use it whenever I pick him.
I'd be alright with the mustachio design from Rearmed 2 as well.

Kamala and Gamora would be no brainers. I dunno about Gwenpool but Spider-Gwen is pretty easy. Are the runaways or songbird doing ANYTHING that would justify putting them in? I like em both but I dunno.
Gwenpool world replace Deadpool to keep his legacy in the game while skirting the ban.

Certainly possible, but if X and Sigma are playable I'd kind of like him to stay his X incarnation just for consistencies sake.

Also, I don't know why people disliked "assist only" characters in MvC3. It let you experiment a bit more with their movesets (Arthur) and it only make comebacks more intense when you were down to only your Assist Character, like PRBalrog's comeback with Tron in vanilla.
I mean it kind of sucks if you don't want to use a "point" character at all but still.

Yeah she had nearly no hitbox when called so you could call her whenever with no fear of being hit.

Yeah she wasn't that bad, but people definitely picked her for her invincible assist. When people say "assist only" characters I think of Vanilla Tron and Haggar.
At least as far as MvC3 is concerned, and in the interview they mention those characters existing in early MvC3 so I assume those were the characters he had in mind.
It was intense for sure but it was also really, really difficult. A solo char making a comeback without X-Factor against a full team was incredibly rare in both 2 and 3 (which is why the one time Justin did it is so famous).

The Thunderbolts have also appeared on the Avengers cartoon, and it's one of the rumoured projects for the MCU.
Plus Songbird is the shit. She needs to be in.

I mean if you rewatch the MvC3 trailers they all did basically the similar combo strings. I wouldn't worry about stuff like play styles until much later. Even early MvC3 everyone was doing similar shit.

There are no assists at all according to the GI write-up. Closest you get is the new TGC system. Apparently infinity stones are an attempt to eliminate assist only characters.
No way we don't see Gwen in some fashion. I expect Spider Gwen or Gwen Poole
Put Gamora in the game with this look.
Gamora has such terrible costumes in the comics pre movie.

If one of the only specific pieces of info people have about the game (especially due to how much of the roster is apparently TBD) is that Spencer is returning perhaps he's being revealed today. If that's the case, Spidey reveal as well? Guess Cap would make sense too but I'd imagine either Spidey or Bucky would make for better counterparts.

I'm hoping for Songbird. She has powers that would work really well for this sort of game. She's not particularly prominent right now, but I feel that people underestimate the chances of characters that Marvel may want to promote in the future, and the Thunderbolts could get a push.
Hilarious. Also, Captain America air dash spotted.
All characters had air dashes in the first shown build.
Another thing they could possibly do is base it off Shinkiro's original concept design for the Bionic Commando 09 alt outfit which was only seen in the Rearmed trailer.
It feels a little more true to the original NES design and I'm surprised this design was never used. That said I think it's likelier we'll get dreads back.
