Treehouse Live 9:30AM EST on 1/13 Nintendo Switch Games

I'm bored out of my mind watching them play through this just once for each mini-game. Imagine after the 5th time through.

I think I would be bored to tears watching some random people play a board game, but when I do it with family or friends it can be fun. This feels like a silly family thing like charades or something similar where the bulk of the fun comes from goofing off with people you know and being silly. It really does seem like the ideal kind of title to include with each system though.

I would not want drunk people around my $300 console. And you'd have to be drunk to want to play these mini-games.

It's a goofy party game where you put yourself in ridiculous situations. Have you seen the videos people have posted playing Speak Out? It's fun to do stupid things with friends.

LOOOOL. Look at your hands.

So far that's all they've shown.

But yeah, this game is gonna make for some hilarious stream moments just like Playroom did.

The only problem is it's not a pack in so a lot of people aren't going to bite at the price it's set at currently.

Silver boots lady is way too adorable. The whole cast is great in a dorky way though.

I think we did see a green one in the Mario Kart segment, right?

man, so many haters

You all really can't imagine playing these with your friends and cracking up? Sounds fun to me, especially with my friends who aren't usually into gaming.

I can easily just play jackbox 1 2 or 3 and everyone can use their existing smartphones. I just can't see this being fun for more than a few minutes.

I can see people buying the game just to post videos of them being silly on youtube.

But otherwise, they seem like games you could play without the Switch itself. Put some tennis on in the background and swing your beer bottles around until someone breaks the TV. The Ninty experience.

What happened to Audrey?

Was wondering the same thing.

The game doesn't look that bad. Cheesy, maybe, but that's kind of the point. It'd be fun for a group, perhaps a group of adults in particular.
It isn't really for me, though, especially not at $50 sold separately.
EDIT: Oh, and the Treehouse team did a great job. :D

Honestly 1,2 Switch looks like an absolute blast. I just wish it wasn't $50, because I don't think I'll play it much. Would have been a great pack-in.

I feel like that's what it was intended to do but they changed their minds to make sure people bought a game with their Switch. That way every Switch purchase will be $350+

I think the majority who are buying Switch at launch are buying Zelda. This packin is the social hook you want people to show off to friends when they come over. If I get the Switch I won't be buying this game for 50 bucks. Package it with 2 joycons at 60 bucks and maybe you can get some traction but its still a failure from the get go by not packing it in.

This Treehouse sold me On Zelda again and
Paper clipping game.

other then that. I think a Switch when Mario and Xeno 2 releases would be a good buy

I can't imagine having fun thinking I spent €50 for that thing.

If it was 5 or less, sure.

Hmm, I expected a Mother 3 announcement or something at the end. E3, perhaps.

Y'all think we get any more major announcement events/Directs before E3?

Not including the already know FE warriors/mobile (IIRC) direct or the promised VC details.

Probably one Direct before release painting future more positively and announcing VC details and stuff (including Mother 3 if it really is a thing).

Yeah, but that's not enough for a BANNED! in competitive play imo. I think stages like that would be welcomed cause it's a apart of the main gameplay.

If a random dragon came down into the ring, that'd be the wacky non-competitive stuff we see in other games.
True, it doesn't quite cross that line where it becomes so annoying. I just took it as a signal that there would be stage elements like that and such.

I like it better without that though. Would be a lot less fun if the Yellow Devil just start zipping across the stage for no good reason with no way to turn him off.

You know there's going to be a porn parody with people starting off playing the Switch then ending up in an milking orgy.

Yeah, you're right. There's no reason to have new and different games. While we're at it, why would I even buy the Jackbox games when I can just break out my 1985 copy of Trivia Pursuit. People wouldn't even need smartphones for that!
