Amazon just delayed my order until the 24th.
Guess it's BB pick-up for me!
EDIT: Amazon Customer Service said they didn't know why that happened and gave me free 1-day shipping. It's now back to being listed as Friday. Weird.

Yeah, mine has always said "Will Ship Jan 18th" and "Arriving Fri, Jan 20th" so I have my fingers crossed that it won't change...
EDIT: Contacted support and they assured me that my order won't be delayed, so there's that.

I think it's more that trying to change up the order when it's in the process of getting ready to ship just has a chance of setting you back some. At least, unless you speak to customer service to rectify the issue.
Online modes are pretty cool. Been doing one where you find pics done by other players about hidden coffers, as a hint, and you have to search them.
You can also see "Kat ghosts" where you can see a photo of the scenery someone took and rate it, but I only saw one so far... My photos haven't been rated yet either :/

Final Australia update: Gravity Rush 2 is indeed $79 in Target.
Of course, there's no stock near where I live so digital it is.
On the other hand Gravity Rush Remastered is real cheap right now and I still haven't spoiled myself on it, so...

Thanks. I order all my games from either Amazon or Best Buy, and I checked all my other pre-orders on Amazon, all showing specific info. I preordered GR2 like the week it went up for sale, so I just got done talking with Amazon and they bumped my shipping to one day.
Sounds like they are delaying a bunch of orders, though, maybe they sold through their initial allotment.

I really believe they should have cut the length of some sidequests at least. Most of them aren't really fun and overstay it's welcome. Otherwise the traversal is enough to marvel me.

I'm the opposite, I delete games, but keep save files around, so I had to re-download Gravity Rush on the Pro, then transfer the save over, since the console won't accept a game save without the game itself present.
Oh well, it'll unlock for me tomorrow night according to the clock, so nothing to do but wait.
Oh well. Fortunately I like the costumes from the sequel far better, but it sucks to miss out on being Dark Cat once more...

Is the gameplay in GR2 pretty much the same as in the original?
I'm playing through the first game for the first time. While I completely love the art style, narrative, and atmosphere I'm realizing I don't actually enjoy playing it. The controls, timed missions, gem collecting, none of it is clicking with me. As a result, I've really been on the fence about buying the sequel.
Has any of this been changed? If it's just prettier visuals and a larger map, maybe I'd be better off waiting for a price drop or YouTube playthrough.

I've only played a couple of hours so far, but I'd agree with this for sure. Up there with Ratchet and Clank 2016 as one of the best examples of 30fps on the platform.

It definitely has a unique mechanic in the gravity shift. I'd never played it until the remaster hit PS4.
I'm kinda with you. I'm enjoying the first one, but the combat sections in particularly I find quite tedious, the aiming and the way the Nevi move is really counter-intuitive.
But the sequel looks so pretty!

When I finish the game (haven't gotten it yet), I'll write a review and detail the mechanics as best I can. But from the demo, it's an expansion of the powers.
So now you have three modes, regular mode, jupiter mode and lunar mode and there are little changes that the made to the related abilities.
Like okay, you can slide on any surface of a building in regular mode, same as in the first game, but you could never slide around all sides of a building: you'd fall off.
In lunar mode, though, you can. I was even sliding around a trunk of a tree in the demo.

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
The gameplay is pretty much the same.
What I can say is that this game heavily improved on the pacing and content. The first game didn't give you much to do besides explore, talk, and do missions. Here you actually get to do other stuff.
Also the story is well paced here and isn't as vague as the first.

Woke up to four announcements in game. It was so nice to see people finding the treasure based off photos I took (and to see that I won in the challenges >).
Also got the Work Clothes outfit for 300 Dusty Tokens.
This is one of the best uses of online in a game that I've ever experienced. I hate online where it's PvP or I have to work with other people to take enemies down (it's hard to communicate and I always feel like I'm crashing a legit teams party and bringing them down).
So for this to be used to encourage helping others find treasure or taunting them with challenges... it's just great. Very refreshing.

Gave them a call, but the lady I spoke to didn't seem too sure about anything.
She said it's been shipped (i.e: Marked as Shipped on 18th) on their end, but there's no tracking info or anything. Even went as far as to say "You may receive the item on the 23rd or 24th."
Told them that wasn't what I became a Prime Member for and they'll follow up again tomorrow.

I think I have auto upload on and I've taken like 25 pictures (though 2 can't be uploaded as it says I took them in places that aren't available for upload).
I also have sent out Treasure Locations and challenge requests so when people receive those and play, I get tokens as well. It's a long journey to 6000 though!
sadly, you just know they aren't going to print that many for this game
I'm not sure, but you can listen to it (as well as some other music from the game) here.
