Full Switch Games List

Those are some interesting assumptions you are making about exclusivity. Citation needed for many of them.
How's it different than what happens with every other console? Until it's confirmed for other consoles it's exclusive since that's the only console it's been states to come to so far. That's been the way things go since forever

The Wii U and PC version were the ones being worked internally, do we know if it's still the case with the Switch one? Also release date on Switch?

To my knowledge we do not. Only thing I read was that they officially killed the WiiU version, announced the Switch version (at the time it was just "likely" as it was before Nintendo's presentation), and that those who backed for the WiiU version would be able to choose a different platform or get their money back. Its release on PC/PS4/X1 is 4/11/2017. Not too sure they will have the Switch version ready by then... but I could be way wrong/out of date.

Nothing new I expect Nindies@Night soon.

Anything about Bloodstained? They cancelled the WiiU version and I believe the game runs on the Unreal 4 Engine, so seems logical.

They haven't cancelled the Wii U version of that game.

I might be mistaken. But this interview he did really puts in doubt if a WiiU version will be made.

Regardless, as it won't be done until the first half of 2018 (at best) I can't imagine them still releasing it on a Physical disc (as people who backed were told they would get at the $60 level). If it does come out it will likely be the final game on the platform (unless Ubi does one final Just Dance for the WiiU).

Makes more sense to me to move it to Switch which supports the Engine it is being made on than forcing it onto a system that doesn't support it.

Not really. Whenever Sony or Microsoft announce a game, and omit any information about exclusivity, it's assumed to be at least heading to PC, and probably other consoles. And these assumptions are usually proven correct.

If it does come out it will likely be the final game on the platform (unless Ubi does one final Just Dance for the WiiU).

I reckon it'll be 90s Arcade Racer.

True, but even more sensible would have been to never announce it for the Wii U in the first place. Same for most of the Kickstarter games offering a Wii U version as a reward.

Dont bring logic to the thread. You're supposed to stomp your foot and shake your fist like the rest of us. /s

Mmm. I really don't think they are, I think e3 will be the Mario experience similar to last year with Zelda. I honestly think they'll announce big new games at their own whim and on their own stage ala directs, as and when they feel they need to. Not with e3 as the aim or anything.

That said, I don't really think they need to bring the big guns either, the first 9 months look fantastic to me, so there is that.

Would love this if its true. Remember really really liking the game when I played through it. Perhaps gauging interest on a sequel, or creating a lead in to a sequel announcement?

Seems odd. Wouldnt red dead or GTA make more sense? Hell, maybe bully since it's on everything and mobile phones too

What I'm planning on buying:

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Lego City Undercover
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Minecraft
Steep (maybe)
Sonic 2017 (maybe)
Sonic Mania
Rayman Legends
Super Mario Odyssey
Yooka-Laylee
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Fast Racing RMX
Splatoon 2

Looking at it as a written list, I'm actually surprised there are that many games that I'm interested in.

As someone who is only interested in bolded games, that's a really dire list. :(

I really hope we get at least 3-4 more games announced at E3 to get excited about. A Metroid, Luigi's Mansion, and new IP or two...

Well, out of what's been announced so far and are on the OP's list, here's how I'm feeling:

Will buy as games for the whole family to play/these are the games they've announced I really would have preferred were ready for launch:

Super Mario Odyssey
Arms
Splatoon 2
Mario Kart 8
Lego City Undercover
Minecraft Story Mode
Minecraft
Yooka-Laylee
Stardew Valley
Snipperclips

Will buy for purely myself:

Breath Of The Wild
Dragon Quest XI
I Am Setsuna
Octopath Traveler
Shin Megami Tensei Switch
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Fire Emblem Warriors
Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove
Rime
Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap

Interested in but will depend when etc:

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (played this extensively, so when it drops in relation to other games could put me off), Rayman Legends (similar to skyrim), Dragon Quest Heroes 1&2, No More Heroes 3, Super Bomberman R, Sonic 2017, Sonic Mania

im really really confused why Switch Sports isn't coming out.

I think I was more surprised initially at the presentation that there was such a Wii-esque collection (this being before we knew about the features of the joycons). That said, now that it's out there that they have that tech and they're doing something like 1, 2, Switch, it does make you wonder about Switch Sports, or Switch Fit. Extremely popular software with the crowd those features might capture the attention of. They were very ho hum with that stuff in the Wii U generation. I think if they're going to try, they should really try. My partner loved Wii Fit, and we all played a lot of Wii Sports.

I am pretty far into the game on Steam, so I do like it, but I would appreciate GTA5 or RDR (2) even more. :/

However: HD rumble + LA Noire is a superb equation. Grabbing all the evidence and feeling its texture might be something. ;) Or feeling the gunfire.

The No More Heroes game, even if it doesn't turn out to be 3... which would be nuts... is good news. I got my Mario, Zelda, and Xeno so I am good with the system. I have a PS4 for Nioh and Bloodborne, TloU2, God Of War plus whatever else exclusive slips in and a PC for everything else Looks like a solid line up as long as you have other systems.

Like damn a new group of sports with the legacy ones would be so hype. I think Street sports would be pretty cool, like hockey, stickball and stuff. A catch mini game would be great with the HD rumble simulating you catching the ball.

Hey, it's time for the standard "new console" circlejerk.

The Switch has plenty of high-quality titles slated for the first year and there are still some that have yet to be announced but we should be fully expecting to come soon. If you don't care about Nintendo games then this product was never relevant to your interests... If you do, then this 1st year lineup wipes the floor with either of the two current gen console's first years.

Disgaea 5 Complete
Dragon Quest XI
Octopath Traveler
Shin Megami Tensei Switch

Unknown Tales of... game
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Lego City Undercover
Dragon Quest Heroes 1&2
Super Bomberman R
Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom
Sonic 2017
Sonic Mania
Rayman Legends
Super Mario Odyssey
Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap
Yooka-Laylee
Snipperclips
Ultra Street Fighter 2
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Redout
Puyo Puyo Tetris
Splatoon 2
Unknown Taiko Drum Master game
Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence
Arcade Archives

Ugh. Goodbye raise.

I hate that there are only two games on that least that interest me. Now granted the two games will be amazing but there has to be more before I will buy it.

For first year, I'll get

Zelda
Arms
Splatoon 2
Super Mario Odyssey
Xenoblade 2
Mario Kart 8 Battle Edition
Bomberman R
Rime
Sonic 2017
Skyrim SE

Say what you want about the Switch, but it's first year is vastly superior compared to Wii-u. Hopefully nintendo can keep the releases steady

Should be interesting to see what they reveal at E3 for this holiday season.

I would be extremely surprised if the core of the holiday lineup isn't Mario, Xenoblade, FE Warriors, Pokemon, and Smash Bros. I wouldn't expect much more than that from a first party standpoint.

Of course, if that was the actual holiday lineup, that's pretty insane. You really couldn't ask for much more for the first holiday season for a system.

Um... at that point, what the heck are they supposed to release for Year 2? Don't forget Mario Kart 8 Deluxe releases at the end of April and Splatoon 2 will already be out in the summer. So I don't actually expect Smash & Pokemon ALONG with all the titles they're releasing.

They have other franchises. 3 of those 5 games are already announced for that time frame. If the 2 unannounced ones aren't coming until next year then I wouldn't expect any big new announcements for this year,

For next year they still have...other franchises. Metroid, Mario Sports, Donkey Kong, Kid Icarus...and god forbid one of those lapsed sports franchises like F-Zero or Wave Race.

I'm not sure how easy this question would be to tell...which games has the Switch has gained since its stage event? Even that same day, if they weren't shown or mentioned at the event or in an official Nintendo source.

For example I believe Constructor HD is one.

On Release Day:
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Shin Megami Tensei
Dragon Quest XI (assuming comes to NA)
Super Mario Odyssey
Arms
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Splatoon 2
Fire Emblem Warriors

Possibly on Release:
Octopath Traveler (need info)
Lego City Undercover (assuming my $25 pre-order holds)
Has Been Heroes (need to see more)

(Likely) Waiting for Sale:
Stardew Valley (Have on PC but barely played)
Rayman Legends (Had on Wii U, didn't beat)
Dragon Quest Heroes 1&2 (assuming comes to NA)
Disgaea 5 Complete (bought on sale in November for PS4 but only on chapter 3)
Yooka-Laylee
Fast RMX

Interested in:
Tales of ...
Story of Seasons: ...
No More Heroes 3/Whatever it is
Monster Boy
Shovel Knight (Have on Wii U but didn't beat it)
Wonder Boy
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
Taiko Drum Master (if localized probably getting it 100%, if not, depends on cost)

The majority of these games will be coming out this year. This seems pretty good for year 1. I haven't even looked at anything for a bunch of the games in the OP, so I am sure there are even more on the list that I am interested in. There are also many digital games that likely haven't been revealed, and I am sure Nintendo has at least 2 more that they haven't announced releasing this year. While the launch is pretty empty for me, the first 9 months looks great as a whole.
