That's almost the time it took me for the whole build, and I thought I was a bit slow ^_^ (especially since I dislike 1x1 that aren't perfectly aligned, and I try to turn the pieces so that injection points are hidden)

Took me ~1h for bag 1 and ~1h30 for bag 2 (which was the longest one for me)

Well, at least, you'll enjoy the build for more time... I found it stellar from start to finish.

You're clearly much faster than I! I need to figure out how to organize my pieces before building, right now I'l just picking through a pile of everything for that #. I kind of like the slower pace it makes me go at, though.

Ha ha I have been working on that set for nearly a week and I am only just reaching the end of step 2. You have zipped right by me in a day

Hah, well, to be fair, I have done almost nothing but build, eat, and shower today. I am now ~14 hours in and just finished bag 4. Have 5 and 6 left for the week, but that will definitely be much slower with work and all that jazz, and then I am leaving for a mini-vacation Thursday morning so..I'll be lucky to finish Assembly Square this week and start working on Parisian Restaurant, Brick Bank, Detective's Office, Palace Cinema, and the Pet Shop next week. After that I'll just cry at how expensive the remainder of discontinued sets I want are :p

I'm considering getting Fire Brigade while it can still be found for < $300 on eBay. I know I want it and I don't reckon it's going to get any cheaper over time..lest I wait until all the discontinued sets are as expensive as Green Grocer/Café Corner/Market St. :/

I didn't realize so many like the dark colors of LEGO like I do.

I do the same... I think sorting/organizing is both a waste of time and less fun. I do have a table large enough to lay them so that they're not above each other.

And I have a good memory, so once I know from which bag a piece is coming from, I know where to look the next ones... (although there's a piece in AS that were in two different bags for the same building step, I don't remember which one) So halfway through a step, things are getting faster.

If you can live with some swaps, bricklinking old sets is fun (although time consuming) and not that expensive.

I'm not surprised, and I'm definitively feeling the same (Sand red should have been there, but I guess it's too rare for even people to have seen it). Throw in some pastel colors, too.

That being said, I'm not convinced that the wall is designed for AFOLs, and I wouldn't be surprised that children have different tastes in colors.

Above the armchair is a shelf with Cafe Corner, Market Street and Green Grocer.
Well, now that you say it... I can't unsee it.

Nothing to unsee. All the microbuilds in that apartment are supposed to be various Creator Expert sets: the VW Camper, Mini Cooper, Eiffel Tower and Horizon Express (set on a custom track).
I know, I recognized everything else, that's the reason why I was sure that it was related to a set.

It's just that I hadn't tought of those modulars (especially Market Street, which I don't even associate with modulars). What I meant with "can't unsee" is that once you know what it is, it's so obvious it's annoying. I feel stupid.

But a black cheese on a 1x1 sand green brick being Green Grocer isn't obvious at first ^_^

Put together my exclusive store opening set from the weekend, not bad for a freebie, I don't think I'd go out my way to purchase it though were it a retail set.

Not pictured, the Joker Lowrider, Joker Balloon and Catwoman sets I got, the Balloon set and Catwoman one were purely for the minifigs as I am not fussed with the builds. The Lowerrider however is great, love the bounce mechanism and design as a whole, I'm tempted to convert it into a sedan rather than a convertible however like the 89 batmobile joker henchmen cars

TLBM is theme of the year. I can't believe we're getting Scarecrow in such a small set. Also, those are all must-have sets.

That Batwing doesn't quite look like a "200+$" set, so maybe it might be a 150-200$ set?

Yea that's not a D2C type set. That's just a $99 Batwing set with a very disappointing fig count. Great looking Batwing though, will pick it up on sale because of the lack of figs.

Brickheadz pricing has been revealed. £10 or $10.
I won't be picking them up, but I think that's a reasonable price.

Whew good job Lego not getting greedy with these. They should sell fairly well then. I will get a couple I really want and get the rest on sale.

Out of the 8 im only in for Robin at this point.

Like Dimensions Its the possibility and potential that excites me the most. Roll out those Star Wars/Disney ones stat. Legitimate threat to FunkoPop if they market them well I think.

Found my BrickLink order! Will build Brickbeards Bounty tonight.

Also, I needed to replace 4 of these because the previous owner seemed to have chewed on some of them. :/

Surprised these have only shown up in 11 sets.
My doggo used to chew everything... he loved rubber wheels in particular lol

Definitely going to buy the Bane and Scarecrow sets. The Batwing looks nice... and expensive. Scuttler is the most I've spent on a LEGO set to date, and it might remain so.

Wasn't Harley supposed to be getting a vehicle set too?

EDIT: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/he...atwing-bane-two-face-vehicles-revealed-969539

$14.99 for the Scarecrow Gyrocopter set
$49.99 for the Bane Toxic Truck set
$59.99 for the Two-Face Demolition set
$89.99 for the Batwing set

Being the batman fan I am it pains me to say TLBM sets aren't doing much for me outside of the lowerider and the minifigs

They haven't really met my expectations. I'd really like some of the minifigs, but probably won't end up with more than a few of these sets. The only one I've picked up so far is Mr. Freeze Ice Attack. I feel compelled to buy the other two power plant sets to complete the trilogy. Not much else calling out to my wallet, though.

I've bricklinked the minifigs from the batcave, Mr freeze, riddler and then bought the lowrider, catwoman am balloon sets.

I plan on bricklinking poison ivy. Two face, mutant leader and maybe bane. Then buying the little scarecrow set.

That'll probably do me beyond and polybag batman variants. I may change my mind on some sets depending on thier context in the film

I like that two-face's tractor is half normal, half mental. The rest don't really grab me. The Batwing being a big bomber type thing is pretty disappointing.

I should be able to meet my goal of only buying the Clayface set and saving some money.

It pains me to do this, linguistically, but it doesn't scan otherwise:

The LEGO Batman Movie |OT| You ever stepped on a LEGO in the pale moonlight?

The Joker's Notorious Lowrider is $27 at Walmart right now. On the fence. Wasn't planning on getting it and not sure if the kids want it.

Why not "You ever stepped on LEGO in the pale moonlight"?

Needs an extra syllable in there (to match with 'the'), and 'LEGO' needs to match the cadence of 'Devil'.

Code:
You | ever | danced | with | the | de | vil | in | the | pale | moon | light
You | ever | stepped | on | a | LE | GO | in | the | pale | moon | light
You | ever | stepped | on | ### | LE | GO | in | the | pale | moon | light

'some' could fit, maybe?? Although devil is singular in the original setup. Ultimately, I thought artistic license (and begging for forgiveness for the use of artistic license!) was the way to go.
