That would be terrible if it is what it sounds like. Thanks for the awesome translation, Apparition!
But...
.... please tell me this doesn't mean what I think it means.
So no tabletop mode?
The "sad" part is that this will probably sell more copies than SFV.
I honestly don't think so, will probably sell around 500-750k ww

I would be up for some last gen Capcom ports. The Resident Evil HD remaster would be lovely, I want little more than a portable RE4.MT Framework huh? Lost Planet on Switch pls.

So I'm actually curious. Does anyone who has been following this game closely know what exactly the differences are between this and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix?
"sad"...?
MT Framework means porting MGSV on the Switch shouldn't be a problem for Capcom.

All I know is that you can now tech throws ala SFIV/V and Chun's super is no longer storable. JWong also mentioned that super inputs were a lot more lenient than in 2X.
I really hope we'll get a classic 2X gameplay mode somehow.
- Does O. Sagat still have the crazy recovery on his Tiger Shots?
Old characters were absent in the builds shown thus far. Was that build near final or still a wip is the real question I guess.

Dude looks like he lived in a tanning bed for a year.
Kinda trumpish

It's probably not even a launch title.So... MT Framework works on Switch... And the only thing they though to do with it is an overpriced SSFII port with a first person mod.
The same month of UMvsC3 releases.
It's probably not even a launch title.
We'll likely still get Ace Attorney & Monster Hunter either way. Though it's not like they could port SFV (Sony), but UMvC3 would have been nice.I'm looking forward Capcom's excuse when they drop Switch support if this bombs.
Is this going to be a $60 title? I'd bite at $40 but im assuming $60...
Or do we not know yet?
I think people in this thread have already (semi) verified that there is no classic 2X mode, which makes me a very sad man.
We won't know how close this is to the classic until extended tests are done by people, including the pros. Like...
- Does O. Sagat still have the crazy recovery on his Tiger Shots?
- When Claw does his super, is his meter consumed when he touches the wall, or when he grabs the opponent?
- Can Ryu still juggle off his jumping Strong? I'd be surprised if he didn't, it's like a trademark at this point.
- Is Gief's Lariat input going to be classic/2X style (3P/3K) or HD Remix style (a punch + a kick of the same strength)?
I have so many questions...
The retail release is like 4990 yen or ~43 USD
I was following this extremely closely until they confirmed that this is essentially a new SF2 than a reworking of ST. Because of that, my interest isn't nearly as high now.
I can understand the disappointment of not having a good port of 2X in the package but what's wrong with a new SF2? I really want to try it.
Sounds like hopefully $40 at least digitally. I'll probably get this then. Im a sucker for SF2.
Balance. This is not Capcom at their prime. Super Turbo is a special game in that it's evolved so much over the years that things that used to be considered awful are extremely useful (O.Hawk) and players continue to adapt and find new things.
1st person mode is something just to try and show off the motion to your friends once.the 1st person view in the video looked like a lame animated cgi. So it is a legit mode?
I dont think will touch this mode more than an hour. Dramatic mode is where's at.
Perhaps they'll release a Ultra Street Fighter II: Turbo Fighting Edition.I'm hoping that there is a speed selection. Cause the game looked mad slow.
For starters, O. Sagat isn't even I'm the game. None of the Old characters are in.
The game also doesn't use any modifications from HDR, so your second and forth points could be answered with: on throw for claw, and ppp/kkk for Gief.
