I don't understand why those bum ass Hawks helped the Cavs like this. Korver is absolutely tearing it up smh...

That Walton tea on Melo wtf lol. we need more Walton and Vitale, please dont let Mark Jackson in it though.
Walton over Jackson would be one of the biggest upgrades they could make.

Wow embiid has a tear in his meniscus? That sucks. I just don't see it lasting for him in this league unfortunately.

It's a pretty common injury and one that he likely had been playing with even prior to his bone bruise. They said they are hoping to have him back the first game back from the All-star break.

new career high for frank the tank

when cody gets back I think hornets need to start frank at the 4 over marvin. frank coming off the bench has been the biggest hindrance to his development.

If Smart could do what he has the last two weeks he'd never be in any trade talks.

Controversial but I said this a few games ago. He should be starting over Avery. The ball moves better with him out there. Shooting takes a hit but the defense is just so much better. Saw advanced stats that had IT as dead last defense in the league, but honesty ab wasn't much better.

It's common but it's definitely not good for a player who wants a long full career that plays starter minutes. Not saying it's deadly, although I'd honestly rather blow an isolated ACL than tear my meniscus. It's not so much about this particular I jury, it's just another injury to add to the already long list of injuries. He's never been able to stay on the floor for an extended period of time.

Holy shit Marcus with his 7th steal.

I think him turning the corner has a lot to do with him actually playing with the ball and running the offense with the starters. He has basically played off ball since IT took over starting duties. They're a MUCH better team when h is running the show. He still has bouts of horrendous basketball but when he's on hes a legit star.

AB should be moved before Smart. He's turned the corner now that he's been handling the ball more. Much more versatile defender too. I've always thought he could be a better scoring Tony Allen. I forget he's only 22. He's value goes through the roof if he can be relied on for 15 points a game. He just has some game so bad on offense that it sticks out like a sore thumb.

I don't know what to say about Smart. That was legit one of the best 5 minute stretches of defensive basketball I have ever seen a guard play.

He's turned it on around this time of year the last two years, but this feels different. If Smart is even a passable shooter, he's a borderline star.

Yeah where he's firing up horrendous shots and turning the ball over at all. Him handling the ball had improved his confidence and clearly helped him learn ways to slice into the line. I'd like to see the numbers, but it seems like he's been getting to the line at will compared to his usual self. He seems to have shortened his release and is picking his spots a lot better.

Avery Bradley's value is dick.

Personally I think he's overrated as fuck. Empty rebound numbers this year they're inflated. Solid not great shooter, can't move the ball for shit and he's actually a bad defender though and he keeps smart off the floor who is overall better for the offense. It's a big part of why they're playing their best basketball right now defensively.

Smarts shooting percentage is 10% higher this month at 45%. That's how bad he shoots. If he shot that for his career and mid 30's from 3 he'd be absolutely untradable. Bradley became a scorer and got rid of his defensive mindset. Smart is always thinking defense and being a bulldog. That's how he's wired.

Marcus Smart package for Melo. Do it Ainge.

I wouldn't trade Smart for him.

Marcus has been playing great defense. Offensively, he can mold himself into a mini-Westbrook.

I don't think he will ever be a great point-man though.

I don't think he is overrated. I think he is injury prone and in the downtime you have seen that Smart is great defensively and Brown might be the best pick in his draft ultimately.

You being sarcastic? 26 and has improved markedly each year in the league, signed through next year at a ridiculous price, 17 ppg, 40% 3pt shooter with elite on-ball defense. He's the exact piece a ton of contenders are in need of right now.

I think he's overrated because of those rebounds, and the idea of him being an elite defender which is not true. At one point he played on ball d like nobody else in the league, but this year he's been terrible.

Edit- right on cue to the post above. He is not an elite on ball defender. He's been awful this year. Advanced stats say so as well and it was clear all season. Their perimeter d has improved big time since he went down.

Nope. He is the person the Celtics would want to part with the most. Other teams know this.
