I want my Odin, dammit! I've been hoarding and buying up from Moogle King megacites like a mofo. Not happy that they separated his star encounters for some dumb reason either. Going to have to wait for another update beyond this next one to get him to 2* :|

I have so many Blue and Green Megacites that are earmarked for Odin. They have been for like a month now.

Anyone else feel that the constant stream of GL exlusive events is slowing down content release, like they don't want to get the story too far ahead of the banners and events?

I despise Ling teams. Especially ones that put those evasion materias on her.

How many people (besides TM macroers, who are in the extreme minority in terms of total Global population) honestly look at a banner and weigh it outside of either:

1) Nostalgia about the 5* unit on the banner
2) Strength of the 5* unit on the banner

Most don't get past #1 to even consider #2.

Case in point, this thread in regard to Randi, today alone. The prosecution rests its case, your honor.

Even if a player gets to considering #2, how many are looking at this in terms of the next big gamebreaking unit? 700 ATK? Nah, now it's 800 ATK. 900 with Yun? Now, I'm hearing whispers of 1000 ATK with Leon's TM.

People pull for the big win. Whether it is for collection, nostaligia, or power creep purposes, people chase the 5* unit, not the 4* ones. When was the last time anyone said on this thread "If I only had Snow, or Vanille, or Garnet, or Rosa, I could have beat ELT on this event"? No one, ever.

And THAT gives Gumi every reason in the world to keep that rainbow carrot just far enough to be out of reach for everyone just a bit longer.

It's just fire and blizzard flask that really gets me. But I got my first ribbon today (1 of 3) so soon blizzard flask will be only concern.

Screw that noise. I have 80+ of each color megacite stored up for him, and I was hoping to have him maxed out pretty much right away. I don't think I knew his 2nd star would come later.

Yeah it happened in Japan so you can bet your ass it will here. It's even more of a wait for us than them because they only had two parts to Zoldaad. In any case, he gets his 2* in Mysidia but at least it looks like he gets it in the first part of Mysidia.

Nope. You have to clear Abraxis to be able to escape the Trial in ELT. Big difference from the previous difficulties.

Damn my team too weak I'm progressing but I like support unit, Ling would be my savior but I pulled Yun instead (chased Ling).

Use the bara skills for wind and thunder to largely trivialize her attacks.

I pulled daily on that banner alongside the free LNY pulls. Got nothing but absolute garbage from both except for a Zidane. Didn't even get a Xiao. Screw that banner.

Suikoden is my most wanted revival of a series. I would take HD remaster's on PS4 of all of them at this point. I have finished all 5 mainlines with 108 stars in each.......and now I want to go play one.

Just last night in fact. I either played part IV or V back in the PS2 era and don't recall much so it felt more or less like I'd never played the series but II has always been touted as one of the best JRPGs ever and it's on PSN so decided to finally check it out before RE7 came out. I played the first one and got all 108 and transferred the save data for II. Did the McDhoul quest the other night (why in gods name isn't there a warp point to the checkpoint spot where Vargas is? or at least the hidden Ninja village?). I'm pretty sure I only got this final ability with my rune thanks to getting all 108 and aren't sure what it does yet but am hoping it will do something extra in the story like getting them all in the first game did. Now that I have them all and did the worthwhile side quest, I can just go full steam ahead to finish the game. I'm at the part where I'm going to break into Rockaxe? and replace Highland's flag with mine.

Ahem, so how about that FFBE? it's the last day of the SoM event in the game...everyone get what they wanted?

Man listen. Ling with BCL hat, Ring of the Lucii, and either 20 sided die or the tm's that give evade are fucking shenanigans in the arena. I got my whole team rekt by her, Noctis, and Lightning and my own Ling destroyed them all using Alterna! They were all status immune so it was my only choice. She DESTROYED them hitting for 999 per alterna and she barely has any magic. I know she cost me a lot but god damn was she worth every cent. Normally I'd have to take the L in a fight like that but I was the victor!

Yeah, damn I didn't know this either was hoping to max him out straight away. For the very first tine in the game I have a huge stack of Magicites saved up.
Anyway, I've been saving up my NRG during the day at work again to TM farm when I get hone so nothing that interesting to report .

So Valentus, do you still need a Cloud of Darkness shared? I never got any Rising Suns for her yet need to do that at some point.

Yeah I've never piled up this much megacite either and it's tempting to max out others I already have (I've only maxed Ifrit so far) but I think I'll stay patient and max Odin at 2* first before doing anyone else. It's not like it's been an issue and I believe I leveled them enough to get the important abilities I particularly wanted.

Marie got the job done, but still get destroyed. Like there was a turn elt/leadership buff were up but get some 1000+ damages while it was like 200+ the turn before.

I've never played them myself, but it's one of my wife's favorite series. She's collected everyone in all of them I think. First one is definitely her favorite though.

Heads up for whenever we get Odin: use your orange crystals last. Titan is the next esper after that and it gets a bonus from orange, so use the other colours first if possible.

Cecil and Firion have different roles. Cecil's a tank, Firion's a dps.

Firion is quite good as a 3* base, you should pull for him if you lack dps units.

Regarding Mercedes and Noctis, it'll be a very long time, if ever, before they come back in a banner.

Well done! Getting all 108 is definitively an achievement, and so worth doing.

I've never played them myself, but it's one of my wife's favorite series. She's collected everyone in all of them I think. First one is definitely her favorite though.

The second is leagues above the first one IMHO, but they are all great in their own way.

I feel like they're making so much bank on these banners that they don't even need a story anymore to drive the game. All they need is GL exclusives every week.

Is Mercedes good? I pulled her a while ago but only use her to steal in the coliseum. All I remember reading about her is that she's a straightforward dps character, and not sure if she really fills a hole on my team that (to me) has all the bases covered.
My "main" team is Noctis, Cecil, Terra, Exdeath, Chizuru

I have Firion, CoD, Bartz as well as far as "notable" units go.
As far as healers go I have Rosa, Krile, and Roselia, but I stopped using A dedicated healer unless I really need one. But between Cecil, Noctis and Terra, I don't have much trouble healing. I know that will change as I encounter harder content, but for now it hasn't been a problem.

Got 100 wins again. Weird that my best characters do great in Arena (due to innate resistance to status effects) but struggled in Valentines/Lunar ELT events.

Firion 6 star is here in global and im doing some tests of his passive Killers.

I Will be using some free non-TM equipment.

Gigas axe
Escutcheon
Dark helm
Black Belt Gi
Cupid sandals
Unusual Artifact
Atk+10% x3
Atk+10% or dragon Killer

First i used firion alone va the usual bosses: White Dragon, devil Chimera, Intangir.

After that i put another 4 members (only support) to fight brachiossaur. Finally i used the same party members to fight the 2 headed dragon.

Brave Frontier Collaberation, Maxwell was a special unit gained from that event. Maxell (notice no W) is a friend unit that is garbage. The original confusion was someone mentioned the brave version, but showed the friend version.

On Mercedes, I'll keep in leveled for fights that are physical heavy, good to know thanks! This will save me some sweat later.

On Terra: one part is that she has raise, which I have never, not-since-I-was-a-kid-ever, felt comfortable in an RPG without some way to revive dead party members. Just feels... unsettling I guess. Although Noctis does have raise too now... and the other part is plain old nostalgia I guess lol. I know I should probably replace her with CoD or hell, maybe Mercedes!

Okay, well, will hold off Cactaur from event for a bit. And pray for something interesting from FF2 banner. If something does then will use Cactaur on that. If not, then Firion.

Err why does he suck? It looks like he makes a great finisher for chaining, provided it's something he has a killer bonus against. Obviously he'll get even better eventually, but I'd say there's a pretty big line between "sucks" and "isn't the absolute #1 best".

Firion's Fin Briar is 180% ST with 25% Ignore Target Defense. So it's 260% attack. basically. It's pretty standard in regards to damage. On types he has killer on it goes up to 455% or so, I think. It makes a pretty great and easy to chain finisher right now but gets nuts once he gets enhancements.

Anyway, I just finished enhancing Tidus' Sun Crest to +2 so far and now he has 900 attack as my secondary DPS while my Randi has 1038. Still gotta get a ton of red ones to upgrade his attacks though. =(

Yes I would. Seven's use is situational, but Firion overall is more useful.

Yes they both are in the pool. But nearly impossible to pull Noctis without a rate up.
